I will answer this question of your's but this is obviously not an advice, this just comes on my perspective and I hope you could learn from me also.

1. Long Term for Bitcoin. Ideally, I didn't just hold, I short bitcoin when it dips that means adding my possession everytime bitcoin crashes. Ex. If I bought btc @11k then I am aware that it was up 300%, I will sell some of my btc then wait for the dip then buy again.

2. Short Term - If you have initial investment of 100$ then you already doubled your money which could be 200$ then you can also think of locking up your profit ( means you can sell). You can rebuy or think of another investment.

3. Got no strategies. I short then HOLD.

4. Technical Analysis would really help you alot and consider studying about this because you can get an edge when trading if you are a technical analyst.

5. ICO is more of an investment. A risky investment so be careful of choosing one.

No one will actually exposed they trading strategies here and it will be very difficult to said this is how one trade especially the professional traders. However, I think trading is game of skills and personal development! You should not follow other people strategies to invest into bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in particular but try and put your thinking cap and development your own strategies.

Technical analysis is very usefull for day trading or long term trading, and for long term trading also should be learn more about fundamental analysis. Make trading strategy is easy but to control emotion is will be more difficult because sometimes we change the good strategy cause greedy.

I rarely trade bitcoin. I usually only buy bitcoin and hold, try buying it in the major dips. but sometimes when there is a huge rise or I fear a big drop thanks to lots of FUD and things like that I sell all my coins and bitcoins to have money ready to buy the dip so that I can increase the amount of bitcoin that I hold.

but I mostly trade altcoins, and for that I only invest in those that are good candidates for a good pump. and there always are at least a couple that can be chosen for short term investment before their pumps come and I will dump them just as fast to get the profit out.

1: personal strategy is to gradually buy into BTC or an 'established' altcoin although sharp peaks are avoided. A value going down yields the oppertunity to buy in more. I avoid using this strategy with random altcoins as the chances are high money is being thrown at a dead coin.

2: A short-term strategy I can think of is buying into a coin that's falling like a rock, as an 'upwards' correction usually follows. This is risky however and I personally never do this (anymore).

3: a thing I learned is that buying into rapidly rising coins (FOMO) isn't a smart thing to do to say the least. Therefore, I've switched to the method I've mentioned at point #1!

4: that depends on your capabilities and available time regarding trading. I would probably fail miserably myself at day-trading, though others could gain massive profits this way.

5: investment!

(DISCLAIMER: Not every strategy I mention will be useful on your cause.)

1. Long term trading, be it bitcoin or other alts, I personally avoid checking the price  every so often so as to avoid making decisions by impulse. I know how to control my emotions when it comes to money, but there are some urges that you typically can't resist no matter how hard you try it. Also, I try to average all my purchases so even if the price crashes, the losses are only little or a profit is still possible to be harvested.
2. Read the news, gather up trading signals and draw a line from there. As I observed, the day-to-day changes in price is largely affected by news, either irrelevant or relevant ones. Most traders use these news into their favor causing a chain reaction resulting into a movement that these traders would like. A good 20-30 minutes reading isn't harmful and can save you within the day.
3. None, I just average my buys until I can just sit and wait comfortable while others are selling at a loss.
4. Best what?
5. More of like an investment for me since practically you are buying a share of something that is hopefully, valuable in the next few weeks if other investors chimed in (like a ponzi scheme, lol.)

I have no tip for the long term I really need one  :) For the short term, technical analysis is really useful. But in a stressful life I don't suggest anyone to trade coins

All is that if you really want to hold then you must always prepared about the circumstances of holding it for long term. You have many problems to encounter and in order to survive you need to face it no matter what.

For long term, just look for the coins with a good potential to pump and also have great technology to survive. In short term trading its good for you to do your homework before trading, make sure you do this so you will not regret later on.

Questions  for I want to know for trading

1. What are the strategies of long term trading in:

-Bitcoin ?
and
-Altcoin?
Long term of holding for bitcoin is already tested by ages, don't need to think for any complicated strategies if your going for a long-term the only thing you need to do is to wait for the potential dip, buy lot's of bitcoin (depends on your budget) secure your bitcoins with an offline wallet in a cold storage devices, stay away from any news or websites that broadcast bitcoins current price.
Altcoin needs a lot of research and potential to determine what are the coins that worth keeping or holding for, I usually pick coins who are already established and tested in the market or community, I have a simple strategy but it gets complicated when it comes with the research and trust.

Long term investment is more safe than short term investment, in short term investment we need to study the market from time to time, we always need to take a right decision in right time, because if we will delay then there are chances to lose money, while in long term investment we should only study the market after long time and should wait for the price for a long time. Long term investment is more safer than short term investment.

1. What are the strategies of long term trading in:
If you go for long term either on bitcoin or altcoin the you just simply store it on cold storage then hold it for long.

2. Strategies of  when it comes to short term?
Daily trades or short term profit making is the most crucial of trading, strategies might vary to each trader since they do have specific combinations with technical, fundamentals mix with some intuition and guts.
_______________

3. What are your strategies you learned and what are your own strategic plan to trading bitcoin and altcoin?
Back when i was still a newbie,i have committed mistakes since i do rush out on buying or selling orders without any basis, but when i do already know about technical tools and fundamentals/news. Then i do find out my trading strategy becomes profitable.

4. Which are the best when it comes to trading?
The best? By making money.  :) Making use of those strategies that you know will help you out.

5. When joining a ICO is it an Trading? or just an investment? sorry for this question if its wrong, I just saw links at my facebook accounts about trading in ICO that I think is an ICO. Never thought to click it because I was been hacked before and traumatized here.

ICO is considered an investment since you do put up money to a company or project. Trading would happen later on when you are already exchanging your coins into another coins (most likely with bitcoin) and trading so on.

I mainly swing trade altcoins, first because I think bitcoin is not sustainable (POW, miners war, slow implementation/out-dated tech.), next because alts are going to provide a much higher ROI, if you know what you are doing.
This mean mainly:

- sticking only with good projects that are reflecting great FA, and an overall bullish future
- get a good entry: looking for long term supports, wickoff cycles, accumulation phases. And be patient
- doing my daily TA check, rebalance portfolio by buying the coins that had weak rally with those that are overbought
- keep in mind that after big rallies, there is bear time: always look for a possible top, and sell a big part of my portfolio when I get strong signs of reversal
- wait for a new entry

a total cycle can take 3-6 months
Confidence in the project, TA, risk & emotions management are the keys, along with knowledge and experience

I want to point out the most important points by order: knowledge, make you dare to make the experience, that will bring you confidence
Those three points bring synergy between each other

Questions  for I want to know for trading

1. What are the strategies of long term trading in:

-Bitcoin ?

-Altcoin?

For me bitcoin is the best choice in doing long term 'cause bitcoin is a very promising crypto rather than altcoins. And indeed altcoin is always drop when bitcoin price is increasing  .

2. Strategies of  when it comes to short term?

doing short term mate is very risky which is you need to monitor the price always to avoid loses,  and must have enough strategy ,knowledge on it,  if i were you make some research first about doing short term 'cause TBH that is the best strategy  for short-term. and before anything else observe the price of coin to ensure that it will grow and you can gain more profits on it.

5. When joining a ICO is it an Trading? or just an investment? sorry for this question if its wrong, I just saw links at my facebook accounts about trading in ICO that I think is an ICO. Never thought to click it because I was been hacked before and traumatized here.
no mate ICO is a investments site which is you can double your investment on it after the initial coin offering,  but bear in mind that there are some scam ICO make some research first if it has a good feedback or has good team behind before doing investment , to assure that there will be a good return after the ICO.

the most important thing that i have learned which i use in my "strategies" is that there are times when cryptocurrency market is not a good place to be in, like these days for instance, and during these times it is best to stay away from it. i can try and make the best out of it and make some profit but that would be being greedy and i always prefer taking smaller risks.

In my opinion, before they start trading, they study the market, study technical analysis, when you understand how technical analysis works, and then begin to study the fundamental analysis ;)

2. Strategies of  when it comes to short term?

joining in an ico is an investment and it's not trading unless you are buying the token in the market and then you sell the tokens. I don't know about trading in ico, maybe you can ask them how to do that.
