I want to buy a book about bitcoins ,I know here is allot information on this forum and also on social  media but I want  to buy one on the Internet please any suggestions.

What are you hoping to achieve from reading this book? Answering that can allow people to offer better suggestions. I have not read them but have heard that Andreas M. Antonopoulos' books are well worth a read but they may be too advanced or not advanced enough depending on what you want to learn.

Here are a few suggestions that I have and the ones that I've read:

For a Bitcoin beginner:

1) The Internet of Money by  Andreas M. Antonopoulos - A good book for beginners who find it hard to cover up and understand the technical parts of Bitcoin mentioned in the book - Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas himself. I suggest you read this book first and it should really get you to understand the basics of Bitcoin and its purpose.

2) Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money by  Nathaniel Popper - It provides a historical viewpoint of events and enterprenuers setting up their start ups and the overall story of Bitcoin and how it evolved. It has a good bunch of stories about prominent startups their success and failiures towards the end. Good read if you like Bitcoin documentaries.

For a technical explanation:

1) Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas M. Antonopoulos - Tells you things from Private keys, public keys, explains you how to use the Bitcoin core client about the protocol and future enhancements like the lightning network. This is just a brief, it covers in-depth a lot of topics and this is open source. https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook

2) Bitcoin and cryptocurrency technologies by Prinston University - http://bitcoinbook.cs.princeton.edu/ (This is going to be my next read right after I complete reading Mastering Bitcoin)

If I have to be honest I do not know any book about BTC but I think you can find all the useful information you need on the web. I have read many good articles and explanations about everything related to all crypto currencies.  :)

I am really thankful that you shared information about books related to bitcoins. I do keep reading all the information and news about bitcoins online but books can be a good company during travel and places where there is bad internet connection. There is a different type of feeling associated with reading from text books and I really miss that very much. I will go through the reviews of the books you listed here ad may be buy some to read in free time. Is there also some magazine with updated news about cryptocurrency ?

i think for now or in near future, there's still a few book that will explain about cryptocurrency or bitcoin, but maybe for forex trading those book are so many.
maybe the reason why people not making a book about bitcoin because its too risky, crypto/bitcoin technology is growing fast enough and people can be blamed because following the investment instruction that written in the book (maybe)

As I have said in most of the replies, the only book you need to read is "Mastering Bitcoin: Programming the Open Blockchain" by Andreas M. Antonopoulos. This book currently has 2 editions. I suggest you to buy the latest 2nd edition which covers topics on Segregated Witnesses, Lightning Network and many more newer technologies which is to be implemented.

This book is mostly very helpful for developers as it helps us in programming our own blockchain and it helps us understand how bitcoin and blockchain works in technical point of view. But for non-technical users, first 3-4 chapters gives us a clear insight on the working of the bitcoin. If you know crypto programming, this book is the one you will be looking for, but even though you don't know anything about programming this book's starting chapters are worth a read.

This book costs around 30$ in amazon. But buy this book only if you are basic programmer otherwise you could end up reading only the starting chapters of the book.

Book,Book,Book!!!Don't be so bookish!Interaction helps a person to gain better knowledge. You can only know about the characteristic of bitcoin,the structure of it,when it was invented,who invented and why??That's it..But you can't come to know about the market place,the business. Business is not based on book.Book contains a limited number of knowledge. But  by reading the posts in this forum,you can know more about bitcoin.

I am a big fan of books. I will not lie to you, books are incredibly fun and exciting. Bringing me to the old style, escaping from reality and enjoying a good story. But Bitcoin book? I think it's pretty useless, Bitcoin and everything around it's built into the internet. Everything is based on electricity, technology, digital and not physical. It's not a bad thing at all. But books about Bitcoin? They not necessarily useless but buying them is not worth it.
All the information you need is on the internet, plenty of articles and resourceful information by the smartest people in the industry. I mean read Bitcoin whitepaper which was written by Satoshi Nakamoto. Everything you want from Bitcoin, Blockchain, Economic to Investing, Trading and Financial Lifestyle. It's all on the internet, just a few keywords in google and you find it! There's honestly so much information for free gathered everywhere.
You don't really need to pay for anything and honestly, I think a book (100 pages) about a specific topic is pretty a waste of time. Nothing that few articles can't cover easily. If you want for some solid information, PM me I'll send you.

This is an interesting idea that we really need in our life now to have full of knowledge about what we are entering at so for me this really makes a good idea at all, for those who really want some sort of book that you are comfortable reading it then it is fine, but for those who don't have time youtube is always available.

 You can search in web. There are enough information in websites. That can help you . I don't know about books on bitcoin.  I am learning from internet articles.

any book about bitcoin is a subjective view of the author. There are 2 option: bitcoin lover and a hater. More objective books will appear in 10 years, when more people will own the information, you will be able to analyze multiple views of various sources, etc. Like any science or theory, it takes time.

It would be nice to have more books about bitcoin and crypto-currencies. Then it would be possible to introduce several subjects into the training. That the younger generation was trained in new technologies. For me, there is enough information on the forum and on the Internet

You can read books to learn about cryptocurrency but to be updated with latest bitcoin and cryptocurrency trends, you would have to use internet and social media. I would recommend Andreas M. Antonopoulos books to learn about crypto.

You can reach the information given by the book on the internet, as this technology is very new, there are not many experts as in other fields. I don't think you can find interesting information on books for now.

Honestly, i havent though of reading a book about bitcoin,all i do is to follow comments from the high ranked members of the forum, but going through this thread, i have seen that a lot has been written about bitcoin. I will try touching on a few, but i hope i dont encounter one that is written by a hater. But whatever happens, my mind is made already.

Information about Bitcoin lays in places like this forum, what you can learn by reading books is technology and science such as cryptography and computer science which can let you understand better how this works, but a book about Bitcoin itself would be a compilation of useful threads coming from users experiences

Till now i didn't buy any book on bitcoin but yes i would love to read books on how to trade the bitcoins with technical analysis, how to pick the best ICO projects, How to invest and manage the Cryptocurrency just like managing Stocks, Bonds, and commodities. Actually, technical analysis is my favourite subject regarding the trading field and i would love to read about it. And then i would think to learn the Bitcoin fundamental and sentimental factors books.

i do not think that  it sounds good like buying a book about bitcoin to get all information related to bitcoin, because this forum is much better than any book about bitcoin and also searching in google and YouTube will increase your knowledge about bitcoin. Also i think that information in book will be limited but in internet there is no limit to get information.

Until now I have not heard anyone publish a book about bitcoin and if any I think the book should be considered, if you want to deepen about bitcoin I think you should learn about blockchain and kryptocurrency I think from there you can develop your knowledge about bitcoin and you can also learn with experienced people on this subject.

the book on bitcoin I think is very good because after all we need to know the learning of bitcoin from anywhere including books. but it would be nice if we learn from books and also practice with bitcoin so we can better master and understand.

Why buy a book if the information is available everywhere. Buying a book might give you an obsolete knowledge as crypto is emerging so fast. Everyday new altcoins and new technologies are invented. Instead of buying a book, how about subscribing to big crypto news sites? How about following good crypto traders in Twitter?

Maybe this is one reference for beginners who are new to bitcoin, to be able to know about crypto world, there is no harm in reading it, because maybe all about bitcoin is in this book.

I think there is no book published yet about Bitcoin. Anyways, why you buy a book where actually there are a lot of information in the internet about Bitcoin already. You can find those information in some websites that have discussion all about bitcoin. Just go over your google.

There maybe few book but lot of research and most information on bitcoin are everywhere that one relates with daily. The risk in cryptocurrency is the same as in every other businesses either that deal with technology or not.  The first time I read few pages on a book I noticed as a regular crypto enthusiast i have seen almost all the details else where. They are accrued over time.

But I think with you joining the bitcointalk forums of course here you will gain a lot of knowledge about the crypto world. In addition in the bitcointalk forum of course you can interact directly with people who are already successful in the field of crypto.

I read the internet book of money, the book is great and it says that crypto is just beginning and is changing the world, I have confidence in bitcoin

One book, which is missing in the previous sides is from Julian Hosp. It is not only about Bitcoin but covering crypto currencies as such. It also provides some background information on how to deal with ICOs. Very interesting read. Can be found on Amazon.

In my opinion is better if you try to understand Bitcoin on your own without book. If you don't know something, search it on Google. If there are something specific that you want to know I advice you to ask question here. 

You can learn more in internet rather books but it would be a big help for the author to that book if you buy it. Also it would be fun reading books rather than on internet because less radiation and you can read anywhere. But its up to you which you prefer most.

I haven't bought any books about Bitcoin because I think that information that is available on the Internet is enough to get started. However, if you want to trade a lot then there are many interesting books about stocks in general which are quite accurate. I would be interested in some books which include some more advanced technical knowledge. Anyone could recommend me a good one?

You are welcome to bu a book about bitcoin or even books and other resource materials for cryptocurrency. I think that bitcoin might not be a very easy thing to learn and such books can be of help. However you can also utilize this forum, as a collection of experiences and tips and tricks that you can use when you are in the world of cryptocurrency you can make sure that you explore all the other options and avenues that this resources can have. Books give you knowledge but experiences let you arm them

That is a great and wise idea because it could be a way to gather information's about bitcoin so that we are aware of what is happenings in the real world. Bitcoin is known and  it can easily produce rich bitcoiner. Aside from that I really wanted to buy book of bitcoin because I wanted to know full information of bitcoin.

I would not buy a book because anything you can find on the Internet and read the knowledge and more than that the Internet is updated and you can read the news.

as far as I know there is no book about bitcoin, it is better if they make a book about bitcoin to teach others not familiar with bitcoin, but now there is a school that teaches about bitcoin.

I highly recommend this one. At the time this book was a big revelation for me and I guess everyone who read it would agree with me.

Buy a book about BTC, and you can learn about BTC's knowledge and investment values through books. By investing in BTC, you can make more money.

I would love to biy a book about bitcoin if it does exist. And It somewhat good to buy book but considered not a must also because today information or news can be found via online through google and social media's but the cases in social media is you didn't know if the source or even the information is legit and true and that is the disadvantages of social media today.

u can but a bitcoin book on amazone and many more sites it is availabe which describes the whole what is bitcoin and how it is created and many more.
knowledge is must before investing.  many people dont have knowledge about the bitcoin and jut look at trading and investing in ico and earn money.

If you are just starting to learn about bitcoin then you might as well start with the point of view of an 11 year old kid who has written a book about bitcoin. It would be easy to understand. His book is entitled "Early Bird Gets The Bitcoin: The Ultimate Guide To Everything About Bitcoin". It covers the history of bitcoin, mining, ICOs, wallets etc. and covers a little as well about ethereum. It is available in Amazon. If you want to read a more advanced book though then you can just try the books mentioned already.

You don't need to buy books. There is a lot of knowledge about Bitcoin's popular science on the internet. There are many useful websites that you can search here.

I have just buy a blockchain book in local bookstore, it is for beginner and also intermediate because there a technical about bitcoin. I really love it and hope that book could improve my knowledge.

That sounds wonderful because as of now I can say that there were many fake news about bitcoin in  the web. Everybody can state their knowledge about bitcoin, but not all were reliable,, so I think the book is the most reliable source in studying btc. In internet its really hard to spot where is the real and fake news about btc.. most especially in google. I can say that google is not a good source in studying bitcoin.. because anyone can write everything there and google wont review everything.

It's very important for beginners like me. In order to understand about bitcoin must first read a book or article about bitcoin. With the book about bitcoin everyone will know about the benefits of bitcoin and can be accepted in the wider community.

I think you don't need to buy a book about bitcoin . If you need more information about bitcoin then you will search on Google or read forum sites . there's too many articles you found on Google about bitcoin.

One of the ways you can better understand bitcoin and reading, the book I suggested for you is the blockchain technology, I found it very interesting and informative.

I think that's a best idea, you need to buy books about bitcoin, because that's a big help to learn more knowledge about bitcoin, especially when your not in front of your computer.Its an alternative you use in reading.  But its better to read on the internet also, because there's a lot or full information regarding bitcoin. So if you learn more just buy books and read it until you memorize about bitcoin. 

Right now, I think books for cryptocurrency is limited or unavailable in any kind of market. I guess if you want to have a deeper knowledge about cryptocurrency and bitcoin, you should browse the internet and find information based in cryptocurrency. We are now in technological era. As a 21st century people, we must use our online resources to gather data.

I would really be willing to buy a book about bitcoins. It's a good way to spread knowledge about it. It would include charts and prices across the years. And also can include stories about people who bought bitcoins and their experiences in the market so far. Detailing, their profit, losses and even strategies for trading and making money in the market.

it's a nice mind that you have a great interest to deepen all the things that are related to bitcoin. But however.. there is no need to buy a book to deepen bitcoin, now the internet can beat than just a book of course, the internet is certainly more extensive and the things we can look for are more thorough and more widespread than book.

I suggest that you dont waste your time and money buying books instead do some research on the internet. There are many facts about bitcoin in the internet which you cannot see it on books. So just do some research on google and save your penny on buying books. Instead use your budget for the book and buy some bitcoins. That way you can experience how bitcoins works and coupled with some readings on the net you now have experience and knowledge.

Personally,  i don't think that you need a book. All you need is a good smart friend and this forum. You will find all necessary informations here. All you need is to look in the right section . You have a question? You ask and we will all help you. That is what our community is for.

The book is a storehouse of science where you will develop my knowledge very interested in your book when I can get the book, I want to read it for the sake of adding knowledge.

Wow you are a very rare one. Unlike me, the internet is sufficient for me to learn the things I needed to in this forum. You have the drive and keep it up. Don't be like me that gets tired quickly whenever my campaign is extended and my profit is further delayed. You can also search the internet for the books you are looking for because everything is on the internet nowadays.

if there is any book about bitcoin I will buy it even though its price is still a bit expensive because maybe I can even increase my knowledge if I have a bitcoin book.

Reading books is the same as how we could read information here in the forum, yet for me having the time to have an online conversation here in the forum is much better option for us to learn because here we could learn in the experience of people who have the better way of having the time to ask question and speculate.

My advice for you, instead of planning to buy a book about bitcoin and other crypto currencies, just spend time reading different threads here in bitcoin talk. In that way, you can learn different knowledge about different people about their knowledge and experience in crypto currencies.

I now have more than four books on Bitcoin and how it works, including a lot of material needed to reference the investment process and get rich, I think there are now many books. is in the public eye, but very few speak of the need for virtual currency.

if there is a selling book about bitcoin, many will buy it because the more bitcoin they will learn about bitcoin if they have a book about it.

There's no need to buy a book about cryptocurrency there are a lot of open source ebooks on google where you can download it for free, you can also use youtube to teach your self about block chain and how it really works on different transaction so do not look for a book because it is not worth of your time reading.

I dont know any sites that accepts bitcoins which sells books  or any other literature related things.But i know that amazon or ebay sellers accepts it and you can find a deal there and pay in what payment method you will agreed on and on what is avaialable

For me I want to buy a book about bitcoin also. If I have a chance to find that book and if I already have it I'm sure iam so much busy to read it in a whole day. And iam so much happy and excited for the mean time because of the books and what it gaves to me.

Wow, that's awesome. I want that too but, I think the book contains the topic or an article about bitcoins is much helpful for the beginners or a newbie in crypto currency. It is also helpful if a person wants to learn how to earn bitcoin without using internet/mobile internet in their houses. They just read only the books about bitcoin and then they could get a lot of information on how to do bitcoin and how to earn it. I hope someday I could find some books like that in the market.

right. I will buy a book about bitcoin. This book will help me a lot. Does it help me know when the bitcoin was born? Where does the bitcoin market work? How to make a payment transaction bitcoin? That will help me know whether to invest in bitcoin or not.

There are many books which are telling about bitcoin. I suggest you to buy them online because you'll get choices more. You can buy the books in a book store, but not all book stores provide it. The books about bitcoin are so hard to find in a book store in my town. It looks like it is limited, i guess. Cause the people who interested in it aren't that much here.

Hi there KIANA, there are lot of book that have published recently, and one of the most popular based on cnbc ranking is "Digital Gold" by Nathaniel Popper.  Never read the book but it seems tackled several things from the bitcoin start up to people who wants to be a millionaire thru bitcoin. On the other hand the book The Truth Machine: The Blockchain and the Future of Everything by Michael J. Casey and Paul Vigna, which talked about the future uses, growth and prediction about bitcoin, but they have said that not all the information in that book would be accurate. If you have finished those two books, it will be great to share it to this forum.

Now a days books are not enough and if we want to know about bitcoin to learn the crypto from books like now the bitcoin is good to use in the market but the understanding is easy like i have to check the detail of this currency and price histories from internet and the Wikipedia has much detail about the bitcoin and many exchanges have the year wise detail of every thing regarding bitcoin movements and the activity chart in this while we have done much prediction about the crypto.

It is a good idea to get a book about cryprocurrency. However, you shouldn't bother becaise you can find everything in this forum. Getting a book can give you basic information about cryprocurrency but it will not give you updates and current events that are going to happen.

Actually, i dont know what specific book about bitcoin, if i were you,just use internet,it is advisable now in learning new things, google,youtube you can learn a lot of information about btc, all your questions,all your doubts then internet can answer it, just keep reading, be reseacheable from time to time you will learn.

not learning bitcoin can be done easily on the internet, because now the internet can be used as a useful learning resource and now we can learn from the internet anytime and easily. I think buying a book about bitcoin is just time consuming

You are totally right about this, buyer of this book can find only two things in this book,  personal impressions of writer and all the thigstwe wrote here. Even those tutorials that you can pay for how to earn crypto is all about what we wrote here, all of them start with faucets and slowly advancing to more complicated things. I wouldn't recommend paying for anything about bitcoins, all you need you can find here and on many other places. There are a lot of spammers, trolls, etc, but with little effort you can dig up almost everything. In that search you will run into some very smart people, advantage of this forum is that you can send pm to each of them or start a topic with your questions. There are many smart people here, use this forum in your advantage and you will learn more then you can learn with reading any book.

When i started to crypto, i also looked for a book where i can learn everything about cryptocurrencies. The problem was just, that cryptos are very young, and there are not a lot of books about it. And the book who are out, are just bad and the writers had no really clue about cryptocurrencies and blockchain. So if you are interested in these thema, you have to make researches in the internet. You have to get information with reading articles and reading in message boards, asking other people in telegram groups.

I do not know if there is a book about bitcoin and if so, it's too wide and not specific for bitcoin. So if I can, you can research the things you want to know and things that are in your mind, and you can also read the experiences that have been shared by those bitcoiners in the forums and you can also ask them there . To be honest I do not know any books on bitcoin. But I think you can still learn bitcoin knowledge on the internet. We know that its value always changes. Buying books on bitcoin is a good thing. Books can help us broaden our knowledge of the field. You can read the book and study it whenever you find it appropriate instead of having to bring the computer to search for information. However, bitcoin books are not widely available in the market. You should order on the site or bitcoin forum.

I think this forum and google is better than any books, you can learn many skills here from many boards and ask your question.

I think the basic knowledge about bitcoin, whether it's about how to invest, what is bitcoin, what is blockchain, etc. all you can find on the internet even in this forum, I personally learn basic knowledge about bitcoin from various sources on the Internet, article blog, video on youtube, bitcointalk forum, etc. ;D

If I earn a lots of profit probably i will try it...  It not only because i love reading but also because I want to widen my knowledge about bitcoin...  It that book will truly help us to improve why not buying it...  You will never wasted your money because after all you will learn here a lots...  Thougj this forum and other websites help us to broaden our knowledge book is much and better...  Reading always is a good secret here...  I will try it surely...

You don't need to buy a book better keep reading article or watch some documentary that is related to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Andreas Antonoupolous is one of my idol that i'm rooting for he explained everything that has been discussed by satoshi here in the forum.

If the book being printed, it is only updated today but not reliable for tomorrow. There are new thread about bitcoin that can be read everywhere in the internet and it is more updated. It will be just a waste of money to publish a book that just a little will read because there is an open air, an internet where people everyday used for surfing. YouTube is there available for tutorials where everyone can watch and learn things.

I do keep reading all the information and news about bitcoins online but books can be a good company during travel and places where there is bad internet connection. There is a different type of feeling associated with reading from text books and I really miss that very much. I will go through the reviews of the books you listed here ad may be buy some to read in free time.

It's good to buy book about bitcoin but you can absorb more information here in forum and also researching in internet gives you lot of info not only about bitcoin but also different altcoins but if you want to be expert in bitcoin maybe better to buy lots of book about bitcoin and other altcoins.

I think buying a book about bitcoin could be a good idea especially for beginners and for people who are interested but do not have any knowldge about it. In this way they could learn and discover how to use and how to earn in bitcoin.

While some may offer you good suggestions in this thread, I wouldn't rule out the value of videos about bitcoin on YouTube. With software it's also important to get hands-on experience.

I highly suggest you to read Andreas Antonopoulos's The Internet of Money, it is somehow entertaining to read and it helped me since I am a bit new to bitcoin. This book was just suggested to me by a friend and I immediately look it up at the book store. The author is reliable since he wrote another book about crypto and it became the best seller in amazon.

I'm not a book lover, for me it's a boring matter. why we need to buy if there is thousand of information we can get through web, we can question and get great ideas through it, there is also an actual studies or lectures through the help of youtube regarding bitcoin.

This is different from the book, If you don't understand with a thing, you can ask and someone will help answer it. In this forum there's two way communication. While the book is only one-way communication.

It is a good idea to buy book about bitcoin especially if you are a bookworm or a book lover. But I don't know what book I will suggest for you because I did not used a book to learn about bitcoin. We have different way how to learn so if you are in book a respect it. In otherhand I also suggest used the internet to know what is the best book suit for you to learn about bitcoin.

Personally, I really don't know or haven't read any book about Bitcoin so far, everything that I know about it was from my research on the internet, videos, articles, reviews, features, etc. There are a lot of good websites where in you can learn a lot of stuff about Bitcoin plus this forum, this is the best learning resource that I can recommend to all newbies and fellow Bitcoin users why? It has a lot of very useful articles and information as well it is interactive, most of the advises are not just by the book, those are practical advises, best practices from their own stories and lessons from their own experience.

I think all the necessary information about cryptocurrency and investments in it is contained on the Internet. It is not for nothing that bitcoin is a digital currency.

And though I also think that all the necessary information can be found on the Internet (e.g. on this forum) for the sake of interest could still purchase such a book. But I until such a literature not met.

If there is a book about BTC business I think they will become obsolete right away. The Crypto market is constantly changing. And the business is transforming so it can not hold a business forever. We will become obsolete if we do not update the information.

I that book also. Maybe there's an information in the book that nothing in this forum. I think the history of bitcoin is included in the book. You don't to buy in the internet, just try to go in bookstore and try to search for it. I think there are many books there related in bitcoin.

i think internet got all of the information about bitcoin because bitcoin is a digital currency and mainly online. However you can still find a lot of e-books that you can buy or download for free on the web and of course with the help of google search engine to save yourself from the hassel.



of course not because interent is not buyable or purchasable. Internet is for free and for everyone to use in order to be able to browse the web. there were now many ebooks related to crypto but i dont think there were a physical book available on the bookstore offline.

books on bitcoin are quite few and for high quality reading is not possible. I think you should learn them through google or friends. They will summarize bitcoin knowledge so that you can better understand Blockchain technology.
