Title: Screwed again by Payscum..
Post by: Oldminer on July 23, 2011, 10:15:19 AM
So after waiting on some cash coming though I hit the 'withdraw to bank account' button and was trapped by the tentacles of the hydra that is paypal with 'you have been chosen at random for a security check & we have temporarily deactivated your account' (despite having a paypal issued RSA token that I use to login with)...God I hate this beast of a chickenshit system....

So..it asks me to complete a hatrick of goals to complete this quest:

1. I must change my password. Yup. No option here. I HAVE to change it. Great, another password I have to remember....

2. I must create a NEW security question. Whatever..

3. I must confirm my credit card details.

So off I go to their 'resolution centre' (like there wasnt a problem here until they created one so who's my dispute with - Paypal? Hilarious considering they created the dispute..) and I confirm 'yes those last 4 digits are from my credit card'. I then get a message that they will credit a small amount of money to my account in a few days time which I must confirm as having received in order to reactivate my account. Yea whatever..in the meantime my funds are frozen.

So several days go by and no deposits but I'm kind of resigned to this plot now and have kind of put it on the backburner of 'things to do next week'. Then today I decide to renew a subscription online and realise they only accept paypal...omg...

So off I go to payscum again and now I'm pissed. Im clicking around in my account and decide to go to 'resolution centre' again and this time it says I have to click 'confirm' credit card. Wtf? Like its not asking for new info, just if I want to add a new credit card or confirm my existing card. Why didnt it ask me this 4 days ago? LOL..

So no I dont want to add a new card, and yes I want to confirm my existing card so I click that and I get the same message as before 'we will credit a small amount of money to your account in a few days time which you must confirm as having received in order to reactivate my account'.

So...4 days after freezing my account I still have no access to my funds. As its the weekend it will be another 2 days + 3 days at the earliest before I can again access MY MONEY. Of course I emailed these wankers to tell them what a pile of shit system they have etc and they reply with a tl;dr email about how I can find 'help' by following one of their many links through the maze that is their shitty system, and that how they were so sorry I had been inconvenienced. Their sorry? Actually their first reply to my email was an automated response which got me even more pissed...

Please people - lets get Bitcoin up and running and make it the currency it should be - the currency for the people, by the people. Lets dump these sob's fat asses on their fat piles of useless paper fiat dollars and trade between ourselves without the need to rely on these interfering, fee grabbing, money hungry cretins, that seem to exist to make our lives a misery.....

Bring on the future..

This happened to me a month ago. I was selling old collage books and used my old paypal account to receive the money. Ended up waiting 2 weeks for a postcard with a passcode on it to type in to paypal. After that, I finally got my money and it's been fine since!
