Just buy from Bitmain and use coupon will be cheaper. Besides can't change shipping address on Bitmain orders.

Only one other CN coin has significant hashrate - and ETN has ALSO announced plans to change their algo to kill this miner.
If Bitmain released their common "3000 units" batch of them, every other coin is going to quickly get totally swamped as very close to 7 TIMES their current total combined hashrate hits them.

Hint - 660 Mhash is more hashrate than ANY CN coin has currently EXCEPT Monero, most have less than *50* and one of them has LESS THAN ONE MHASH TOTAL NETWORK HASHRATE.

I've already looked at ALL of the numbers *AND* the planned changes - you obviously have NOT.

Nothing like pre-ordering paper weights.

It's unbelievable that you actually had to explain this to him.......AFTER HE BOUGHT 4 OF THEM! What the Hell is wrong with people? Must have too much money....

They get caught up in the hype of things and don't do the math and/or research apparently.  He might make some money but I don't ROI on 4 units before they change the algo.

He probably saw the SIA miner "early adopters" making a killing and didn't look at the long-standing Monero Core Dev dislike of ASIC and them having stated a few times in the past "ASIC = algorithm change ASAP" for Monero.

I'm pretty sure they were already working on the algo change, given the Baikal - but that wasn't going to be "instant-swamp the non-ASIC folks" at it's specs.

Anyone who wants the miners, here's my advice: use escrow. Never send coins to this guy upfront. Never. Not even incrementally. Here is a list of forum escrows:

Poor people who paid 10K...   Bitmain is not stupid. If ROI is as people "believe", they would mine themseles instead of selling the units.

Yes, it is funny how hard fork news along with Baikal N release forced all the rats out of the building and into the open.  Bitmain trying to cash in while calculators still showing $1000s in profits to be made with the algo.  lol.  Those calculators gonna look ugly after Baikal Ns hit the network,,,, and truly ugly by May/June release of X3.

My condolences to the poor sap who bought 4 of these at $12,000.  So approx. $50k with shipping& psus for miners that may be bricked by delivery.  I really hope you somehow make your money back. 

Of course Bitmains not offering any refunds and release batch 2 & 3 at $3,000 and $1,900 a couple weeks after release of batch 1.    This is the only company I know that regularly takes a steaming dump on their customers. ie. they planned to screw batch 1  X3 buyers with that price.

Honestly, anyone that actually purchased this thing at that, or any price will find the sympathy well, bone dry. With all that's going on out in the open these days, there is no excuse for that level of stupidity.

Looks like batch1 buyers lucked out.   Take the refund buddy.... or if you ordered with wire transfer, then just don't pay.  Whoever takes the 4x miners is quadruple stoooopid.
