Title: Is participating in bounty programs more reliable than participating in ICO?
Post by: marksayson on March 15, 2018, 09:31:29 AM
I am a novice bounty hunter with just facebook and telegram campaign only. I want to participate on the upcoming ICO by buying its token in my ethereum coin. Also this ICO that I want to join also offer a bounty campaign, that 1 % of its total amount of tokens will be awarded by participating in its bounty. May I ask what is best to have more tokens, to participate in the ICO ? or to participate in bounty campaign.

Those 2 are totally different. It all depends pal on how much money you have to invest in the first place. If you are doing only fb and telegram you won't be able to get much like if you do every week at the end you even are uncertain on how much you will get at end as it basically depends on how many people join etc. So if you do bounty it is much safer in a sense that you only trade your time for stake for eventually getting tokens at end, whereas when you buy you put little amount of time to simply register but then spend your money to buy tokens.

All depends on how much you do believe in the project and what are you willing to risk.

If you are fixed in joining the ICO I suggest you do both if you can, that way you'll earn twice if the project gets to exchanges. I think joining both won't cause a conflict on your participation right? I am not sure which one will bring you more tokens because on bounty campaigns it depends on how many stakes and in ICO, it depends on the money you've invested as far as I know. Anyway, if you join both of course you will earn more tokens. Goodluck!

Hmm, maybe bounty program (https://ico.coinnup.com/assets/pdf/bounty_campaign.pdf) is less risk-taking. But you can do both. Half bounty, half purchase. I'll do the same with the fresh founded ICO (https://ico.coinnup.com/) - found it here on BTCtalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2831429.0).
I will go 50/50.

participating in bounty is reliable if you dont trust the ICO . but  life is all about risk. if you dont take risk , risk will rip you off. those that work offshore drilling companies take the risk and get higher paid than those working in the office. hence my advice is that if you  want to successful  in cryptocurrency world you must learn how to take risk by buying ICO.

Two of them are both sided, Bounty requires your time and ICO requires your money, you choose the one that is more convenient and more convincing to you on any particular project.

And you remember, if this project does not collect the necessary amount or fails, then the work done by you in the bounty campaign will not make sense, since you will earn a penny or nothing at all. And if a decent and good project that will bring you profit, then for participating in a bounty campaign you will be generously rewarded.

If you have Facebook and Twitter only you better invest in ICO just because FB and Twitter bounty campaigns are always payed a penny so you will get a really low amount of tokens.

These are absolutely different things that can not be compared. Both activities are rather risky. ICO can not succeed, you must understand this. A bounty campaign may simply not pay you, it happens quite often. Therefore, it is impossible to say which one is the safer. But if buying tokens does not require a lot of effort, then being a member of the bounty program, you will have to work. So here the question is rather how much time you are willing to spend in order to get tokens.

If bounty works for you then go for it, or if it is ICO that works for you, you can go for it as well. But it all depends. Bounty requires your time and ICO requires your money. So you choose the one that suits you better.

I think you don't need to invest, the better option for you would be to participate in bounty campaign. You can participate in social media bounty and signature bounty.

I think. Anything will also give benefit so why not do both things so that you wouldn't have to worry. As long as you're fine with it.

It depends on how much money you are going to invest in an ICO, better yet participate in both if you have the resource and time to do the bounty.

However, if the ICO did not complete the raise, so it is also not distribute bounty thread tokens, so when the bear market comes, we can only select excellent ICO project to participate in, also, we can only take good ICO project bounty threads.

If you think the ICO is a good project, better buy on ICO because Social campaign won't give you enough token compared to  buying ICO. But if you hae a doubt in ICO better join on the campaign though you need time and effort to get a reward.

There is a big difference, with participation in the signature company you do not need capital, and all that you risk is the time you spend for tasks, write posts, etc. But investing in ICO can be more profitable. In principle, you can do both.

Why would you choose between the two if you can both have them? you can both join bounty campaign and support the ICO by joining it,investing to a solid project would be much profitable if you really joined the ICO because the tokens are very cheap while the ICO is ongoing, but if you wanted to join its bounty you can still join because there are rules that restricting ICO and bounty hunters.

ICO hunting is better because you would get a lot of cheap tokens, compare to bounty hunters which has only small portion of the ICO's token supply.Sometimes bounty hunters are getting fucked up,not getting paid after months of promoting these ICOs that is why bounty hunting doesnt have assurance, bounty manager sometime are cheating too.

If you really believed with the project, invest to the ICO and join the bounty campaigns too so that you will get big amounts of tokens after the ICO has finally over, but i suggest to stick with the ICO investments because not all of the legit ICOs are paying these bounty hutners sometimes they are abandoning the project after raising good amounts of money, thus leaving these hunters with nothing.

I think that the best option is to invest in this project and to participate in the company's bounty

For me joining ICOs are reliable though it has more risk of losing your money,it is more profitable joining legit ICOs.Joining bounty campaigns is unreliable IMO because sometimes you wont get paid at the end of ICO,developers are too greedy not giving the promised allocations to the bounty hunters, but joining legit ICOs and Bounties surely going to give you more gains if successfully ended.

There are differences with the two option. For example, if you will invest in ICO, you will not anymore waste your time and effort. Just put your capital and update the project's development. While in bounties, you will not risk your capital, you just simply support the ICO using its campaign.
There is an advantage with both of them, just try to look what is really advantag to you.

Many projects pay rewards at the end of the bounty. Few want to get a bad reputation. I noticed that after the bounty and ICO, the price of a coin always falls very much, because bounty members often sell coins immediately. I see no reason to buy on the ICO, if in most cases you can then buy cheaper

do both
you can get a profit from the investment (long-term)
and you will get an additional advantage when the coin enters the market from Bounty
make sure you get experience when investing and joining Bounty

I am not participating to an ICO since I believe that I can still grab those at its lowest price when a price correction happens. Besides, not all ICO are legit and fulfilling their promises like to be listed on well known market or a partnership. There really are lots of bonuses when participating to an ICO which is one of the reason why many of us were deceive to join. I prefer joining to a bounty instead of ICO. I am getting the altcoins for free and you may multiply it by trading.

Id like participating both,if the project is really going to achieve success best chance of getting more gains are higher, than joining bounties alone. The project will give us more stakes or tokens at the end if we both participated the bounty campaign and ICO presales, but if am doubtful with the project i wont be joining the ICO isntead bounties will be okay because i will only risk my time.

Doing bounty campaigns is totally different in investing in an ICO. Doing bounty campaigns would consume your time that is why it is like work that you gets paid in terms of token. There is less risk in here because you dont shell out money unlike in investing in ICO. But the risk here is you would not get paid also if the ICO fails.

Very strange question. With participation in the ICO, you risk your money, and with participation in the bounty of the company you earn money advertising the campaign.

In my views, i would have to prefer joining signature bounty campaign for a particular ICO whom I think is a good  potential ICO. Later, once the campaign will be finished, my token will serve as my investment instead of dumping the coin. With this strategy, it's only the effort you had invested and no cash out was released on your ICO investment.

Participating in campaigns does have the convenience of getting rewards. So participating in the bounty campaign provides many benefits for us, in addition to the rewards that are also useful knowledge. Understanding Bitcoin and altcoin is expanding.

I think it is more reliable when we join bounty than join ico. because the bounty does not use money capital so we will not experience a loss when the price falls while if we join ico when the price in the market goes down we lose because it joins in ico using capital.

Your decision should depend on how confident you are about the success of the ICO project and the subsequent rise in the price of its token. If you are sure of it, you can invest in the ICO and also participate in the ICO signature campaign. Participation in the ICO signature campaign is beneficial because you do not invest your money, but only your time and effort.

This depend on your investment capacity and also what you will be able to promote in bounty campaigns. If you have a higher rank in Bitcointalk and you can also make video and have many followers on Twitter and Facebook friends, you may earn up to $4000 in bounty campaign, which you may not dare to invest $4000 in ICO

That might be, cause form joining a bounty program, we have the possibilities to get some free coins even though it will be limited amount.
Rather than participating in an ICO that has some risk of loosing our money if we met some scam project.

I think the ICO and the bounty would be quite different if compared. If you want to have more investment is certainly the way that can be done but it will also depend on how the capital used in investment. the bounty is also indeed generating a lot of profit but will also depend on the level of the bounty itself regarding the allocation and so on. I think they all produce is quite good.

If i found an ico that really suits me and is ideal for me after my thorough analysis then i will definitely look for its bounty campaign as well and participate in it as i will want to get more and more tokens of that ico, so if you really find a perfect ico you should invest as well as promote it.

Both are good ways of earning in the crypto world. It depends on the one you prefer. If this is your first time, you can start by first participating in bounty and by the time you have earned something substantial, you can then start investing.
You might not limit it to investing into ICOs alone, you can also consider investing into coins that are already listed on exchanges.

Well in terms of security, the bounty is better than participating in the ICO. But you can get few tokens because of the large number of people participating in the bounty. It is necessary to invest wisely, think about and analyze everything well. So if you are not confident in their knowledge and strength, it is better to participate in the bounty.

Due to the large number of low-quality projects, it will be very risky to participate in the ICO. I would recommend you to participate in the bounty. It is safe and sometimes also very profitable. Everything depends on you.

It all depends on the campaign, if you want to get as many tokens of a specific project as possible, then it’s better to participate in two at once, and if you are doubt in the project, then it’s better to take part only in the bounty.

Its hard to get big amount of tokens now in bounty, if you want gather big value of it then better do both. As long as that projects is reliable. It will worth it.

if you believe that ICO is a good ICO and they have something good value or good product inside why not buy them + doing the bounty at the same time. It will give you more profit after they launched on the market. You will get a special discount too if join the ICO earlier. So just make sure you really research about the ICO very carefully before joining them.

Its really not too profitable investing on ICOs these days especially as newbies because many are kinda fake so if you ask me, bounties are more reliable until you get some experience
