Title: DobZombie and thebitcoinmuseum.com (He is now working on fixing the issue)
Post by: El Cabron on October 17, 2013, 09:54:08 PM
Edit:   DobZombie is now working on fixing the issue. I hope he will update this thread once his registration is finalized.

This thread is to inform the public that DobZombie has made false and fraudulent statements about the donations he is trying to collect.

DobZombie has been in several threads begging for items for his "museum" thebitcoinmuseum.com  You can check his post history (please note he has been known to remove his own posts).

This "museum" does not seem to be registered anywhere as a non-profit or a for profit entity. Why does this matter? He is claiming the donations that you send to him are not owned by him personally but by the museum.

Hey Goat. Stick a dick in your ear.

Nothing for the Museum is part of my 'collection'. I don't own any of those pieces that are donated. It all belongs to the Museum.

If the museum is not a person or a company nothing can belong to it.

Also from his website "© 2013 BitcoinNerd. All Rights Reserved. 'Walter' is a registered trademark. "

I have checked and 'Walter' does not seem to be a registered trademark.

Now I am not the police and some of you might be able to check this out in better detail than myself. If anyone can find that any of my information is incorrect I will update the OP and if needed change the title and lock the thread.

I am not against any of you donating stuff to Rob (and I think his idea is a pretty good one if he would only do it correctly) but please be aware if you try to claim the donation on your taxes the IRS (or whatever in your country) might not be very understanding.

Thanks.

You are such a jerk.  You don't like somebody so you start a scam thread?

I've been working so hard on this Museum and you come along a fuck it up over a grudge?

Just because I don't have the money to register the Museum as an Entity doesn't make me a fraud.

Thanks a lot.

So you admit you personally own all of the donations? If not who does?

Also why do you claim you have a registered traded mark if you know you do not?

And I've never deleted my own posts. EVER!

I say Walter is a registered trademark so nobody steals his image.  IS THAT OKAY WITH YOU?

@ Goat,

Perhaps you should address these concerns on the Litecoin forum concerning "The Litecoin Foundation":

https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,997.msg39610.html#msg39610

Quote
So what is the current status of this "Litecoin Foundation"? Is it incorporated somewhere as a non-profit org? If so, where is the paperwork for us to examine?

Legally a foundation is a non-profit entity so you can't start a for-profit business and call it a foundation (at least not in any country where the rule of law applies). If this "foundation" is actually a for-profit business then it is 100% a scam designed to confuse people into lining someone's pockets in the mistaken belief that they are helping out some sort of charity dedicated to promoting and enhancing Litecoin.

If that is the case this "foundation" is actually hurting LTC and this business should not only be banned from promoting anything on these forums but should be actively denounced by the LTC community for what it is.

I bring this up as there is no real information here on the so-called "Litecoin Foundation" yet there is another thread where they are looking to sell physical Litecoin coins. Where is this money (received from the sale of the coins) going and what is it being spent on?

As well as others in that thread. Its been over 2 months and you (The Litecoin Foundation) have not addressed these concerns.

Thanks in advance for addressing their concerns.

Off topic. Make your own thread and quit trolling.

I have posted it in the thread I linked.

Trolling, well that's a very broad term. Someone is trolling when they are addressing a legitimate concern as you are with this thread. So in essence you are trolling as well. Let's keep the standards of the playing field level and fair here as we joust okay? Thanks

Can you please answer the question about the ownership of the donations?

Thanks

I have stated MANY MANY times that any item donated to the museum, is not owned by me. The Museum owns said donations and will NEVER EVER BE SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY. In the event of my death my (soon to be) wife has been tasked to find a new curator for the museum. Said new curator can only take ownership if they are willing to state that said items cannot be sold.

The Lourve is in fact a real registered museum and it can "own" things. OP's collection is not registered anywhere and can not own anything. He has admitted as much.

You can get a tax write off for giving to the Louve, you try that with OP's thing and you will go to jail for fraud.

took your time doing your Google research, did you?

you are contradicting yourself so much it isn't funny, you keep calling DobZombie the OP when clearing you are the one who started this trolling thread. you are also stuck on the role of the curator, you are right a museum owns the items and not the curator, so how about you read what you wrote and apply to this situation.

just because you feel hard done by DobZombie for telling you off for your slurring comments you have decided to make it your mission to destroy him. he is an open book, does not hide any information, never deletes his own comments, and does pay for a lot of the items in the museum (I should know as I have paid for some myself) and does not keep these for his own collection, he donates them to the museum himself.

how about you answer these questions yourself in regards to your own "Litecoin Foundation", and do you claim any BTC you earn through your investments on your own tax? it is an income and that is what tax is all about....

and I'm not off topic here as I am responding to things that you, yourself, have posted or responded to

He was not backing you up. He did not support you in anyway at all. In fact he linked this to what he thinks is fraud. That is not really helping you out.

I'm going to be the better man and move your off topic questions to the thread found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=313210.msg3359646#msg3359646

There was no reason to go off topic here Smoothie. You could have made your own thread. I will not respond to anything off topic in this thread from now on.

Attacking me does not help your friend here. Just cuz I lost 39,000 plus BTC does not mean what Dob did is correct. Personally attacks are not a defense, it makes me think that you agree with me and have nothing left to say.

I thought you weren't going to address off-topic comments?

Yes I know you think The Litecoin Foundation is a fraud and you have made that very clear. I responded in the other thread. Even lets say that some how I or the Foundation committed fraud does not mean that Dob is off the hook. It would mean we are both fraudsters. You are not defending him very well by trying to attack others.

Prove it.

Provide a link where I state that I think the Litecoin Foundation is a fraud.

Just because you say it is true, doesn't make it true.

I will speak for myself and say that I do not have enough information to claim The Litecoin Foundation is a fraud or scam. Hence my linking you to the community concerns without my opinion attached to it.

I wasn't defending him, I was showing you how a double standard works. In essence by holding you to the same standard it is backing him up on the grounds of your accusations and your rep still needing to be clarified surrounding those community concerns and NOT anything to do with my opinion of you or the Litecoin Foundation.

Meaning you making claims that his entity is a scam and things needs to be addressed and you not doing the same for those community concerns I linked you to makes you to be operating in a double standard.

Now back to my original intent: Are you going to address those concerns in that thread? It is more than just the first post you see in the thread. You have not posted any answers to those questions there for 2+ months.

I see you are the "sister site" of the bitcoin museum so I understand where you are coming from. I'm assuming you are his wife (if not Dob himself).

You are correct that I am the OP of this thread. I did make that mistake not that it really means anything in context.

If you want to post about the LTC foundation, please find the correct thread and do so. What you might think are my faults do not make Dobs actions correct.

Dob has both claimed that he does not own the items and that he will give them to a new owner when he dies. Do you not see how there is a slight problem here?

He also clams that he has a registered trademark when that is not the case. He has admitted to two counts of fraud.

Really all he needs to do is retract one of his statements, remove the lies fro his webpage and carry on with life. Once this is done there will not longer be an issue will there?

Trying to claim two contradictory claims at once will not ever end this. He needs to man up and make a correction.

so, because I'm a lowly female I can't think for myself and this must be my husband posting here....sexist pig!!

and the mistake means everything here as you are the one who started this whole thing and can't even get it right!!

DobZombie (not Dob) has claimed ownership of the museum and "Walter" not of any items - did you not read me saying that even items we have bought are not owned by us and have been donated to the museum - and I do understand that we can not give you a physical verification to this as you have never been in our house (and you'll never be welcome here anyway)...he has stated that the ownership of the MUSEUM will be passed to someone I deem fit enough to carry on the legacy and then when that person takes over you can give them 20 questions about their own mindset of the operation.

DobZombie has worked very hard on this museum, I have given up many nights of homecooked meals and time together for this site to be set up for YOU and the rest of the public to have a place where the history of the BTC is gathered into one place, and then YOU come along with your spiteful and defamatory comments trying to stuff it all up.

Walter is now a registered trademark in Australia

And now The Bitcoin Museum is a registered entity in Australia.

Now goat you said before that your only problem is that I said "Walter" is not a registered trademark.

You started this crap thread over something so trivial, so I'll be willing to retract my remark saying that you were trolling, if you retract your trust tag, and your "friend's" trust tag.

Are you happy with yourself now Goat?  I had to take savings out of the money that me and Noella are only supposed to be using for IVF.  We've been trying to have a baby now for so long, and it's pricks like you that make it hard.

Is the "museum" a not for profit corporation?

I never said it was 'not for profit'  You got any Idea how hard it is to set up one of those?

I've registered with the relevant government departments, the applications are gonna take a while to be accept.

Thanks to DobZombie for working on the issue, also, keep up the good work at the museum!
No need to beg for mercy from Chaang Noi or crying, it's not like he's in everyone's trust list.
I'd like you to shed some more light on how you registered your museum as soon as you're comfortable with that, and also propose that you don't hold at least the monetary donations yourself. You should find an escrow service of some kind. I personally might have an addition or two for your museum to display, after all.

Chaang Noi, good to see that you've refrained from leaving negative feedback for the moment. As for the sock puppet, well, I guess it's a little hard to believe that they're not yours, but I'll take your word for it.

Noellajean, you might have done your man a disservice by chiming in over the Litecoin Foundation and pirateat40 issues. That's way offtopic here.
Also, Chaang Noi is not a sexist pig, rather a sexist goat ;D

And smoothie, waaaay offtopic. There's a reason why your ignore button has this "tan", you know?
