Crypto Sportz is a fun way to support your favourite team and challenge your friends to make the game more interesting while learning how to use blockchain technology.

• Traditionally, sports betting is done on confusing websites with lots of unnecessary gimmicks designed to maximize how much money users lose to “the house”

• Crypto Sportz operates autonomously on the Ethereum network and only assists users in making peer-to-peer transactions, which means fans bet each other just like they would as a wager between friends

• It is an autonomous set of code living on the Ethereum network. There are no accounts, wallets, or books

• In a peer-to-peer format, fans are able to pick the score of a game, predict a winner and play other exciting game formats

• Everything happens entirely on the blockchain, all the transfers and winnings never leave the Ethereum network and are sent right back to your wallet when the game results are validated

• No one can control or interfere with your bets and you are no longer constrained by geographic restrictions, your credit card company or a bad bookie.

• The Ethereum powered by blockchain technology is going to do everything. All you need to do is enjoy the game.

BECOME A CAPTAIN

Captains are people who are influencers and can drive lots of players to play and wager each other using Crypto Sportz. When you share your custom link you will receive 1% from ticket sales from every person that used your link to get to Crypto Sportz.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Every time someone you referred buys a ticket, you will receive 20% of the fees we collect right in your wallet. Not to mention, the more players wagering on a game, the greater the grand prize.

As being part of Crypto Sportz and a person who experienced the whole process on the platform. I can say gladly I'm amazed how unique this platform is without any sign ups or verifications problem only betting directly through your wallet and getting your money back to your wallet. Great hard work supportive team with a huge vision to keep up and bring new things every time and bringing the best of the most. This has a lot of unfulfilled potentials and only need to be exposed and increase their traffic by showing themselves to a huge audience. Wishing CryptoSportz the best and proving how success looks like.

Before we put money in your dapp, can you assure us that it is safe and that the code was audited? I read an article that there are about 34,200, more or less, smart contracts and dapps created in Ethereum that are not safe to send funds into.

I reckon we should encourage everyone to start becoming more vigilant and not use dapps without doing any research.

http://bitcoinist.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/as-smart-contract-1120x700.jpg

There are hundreds of thousands of similar smart contracts on Ethereum that control wallets, tokens and applications, or hold funds. Now, researchers say they’ve devised a new approach for finding vulnerabilities in smart contracts that would have exposed the flaw DevOps199 exploited before it was too late. Even more, the researchers say they’ve discovered an additional 34,200 vulnerable smart contracts. A sample of roughly 3,000 vulnerable contracts that the team verified could be exploited to steal roughly $6 million worth of ether, Ethereum’s in-house cryptocurrency, they said.

That's a fantastic question and obviously very valid from both a security standpoint as well as general credibility.

Here are a few things that we have done to date.
A) We are constantly keeping an eye on the latest exploits in smart contracts and are aware of all the current vulnerabilities. To say that we are safe from some new future hack would be a lie but then again that hack will most likely be used to exploit far bigger contracts than ours.
B) We have put the contract out in the open for all to see. It is located here as well as in the footer of our website https://github.com/cryptosportz/cryptosportz
C) We have invited people to come and play with / hack the contract. Not a lot of hacking was done but people did suggest certain improvements, relevant and otherwise. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethdev/comments/7ww0xb/any_sports_fans_interested_in_helping_test/

We are about a week away from launching a revamped version of the contract that includes additional game types such as survival and more, which we'll also open source and seek feedback from the community on. Hope this answers your questions. Please join us in our Telegram group if you have any other concerns or questions.

Wouldn't suggest anybody to use the system as the code seems to be written by an amateur.

I can't say that the system is broken or something like that, all I can tell that there are chances that there is a breech in the contract code and you may result sending your ETH tokens to the space.
Anyway, the system is still not usable and more contributors are needed, the idea is cool but there are already bunch of projects that do the same thing, they all failed at the level of getting more users to bet.

You're a senior member and we want to respect your opinion so hope that we can understand it better. Point by point is probably the best way to have a decent dialogue going...

  • Which aspects of the code do you find to be amateurish, and where / what suggestions would you recommend? Trying not to take offence to these words and want to understand where you're coming from because perhaps there is indeed something somewhere that we messed up and we are happy to fix it as our goal is to create the best possible platform. In fact we would be happy to compensate you for a proper code review. Feel free to PM with a price or post it here. Your feedback has to be constructive and indeed prove that our work is as you say "amateur".
  • The contract is actually quite simple and from all the generally known vulnerabilities we are pretty well covered. But again, happy to hear your suggestions.
  • The system is 100% usable and we've had almost 4ETH in bets already take place. Given that most bets are in the region of 0.005 to 0.01 ETH we would say that these are great stats for a project with no marketing budget, no coin, no affiliate partnerships, etc. We personally welcome you to try and place a bet on a team or sport that you enjoy so that you can understand the ease of use that we created for people to support their teams and make the experience of watching a game more enjoyable. All it takes is MetaMask and a few clicks (or Toshi on mobile). Bet up to 0.1ETh and we will personally pay you back if you lose. Just post the tx details here. Want to make sure you understand what you're knocking down and happy to spend 0.1ETH to do so.
  • The idea is indeed cool. Thank you for saying that. Please show us any other example of a Dapp out there that requires no account signups, no funding of an account, is completely peer to peer, has an open source contract contract that uses http://www.oraclize.it/, etc. etc. You are partially correct in that there are traditional bookie services that accept crypto out there. That is NOT what we do. We've only seen one or two tiny attempts to do what we do, which is autonomous contract betting and none have done it to the level of quality of what we do - even if that level isn't, in your opinion, a high one.
  • Last but not least, check out a few websites by the name of Etheroll, vDice, Smart Billions and others that clearly demonstrate that there is a huge market for smart contract, decentralized betting experiences. The challenge, as always is reaching those users. We are trying to reach them through this post. Comments like yours (when aren't made in full fairness or with the entire picture in mind) make our job so much harder. I hope you reconsider some of them or at least take a second look.

We genuinely look forward to your thoughts, please keep the open dialogue coming.

Thank you. But can I ask why your team decided to use Ethereum? What would the difference be if you chose the immutable version of Ethereum, Ethereum Classic? I reckon not too much.

The main strategy was to "fish where the fish are" which is just a fancy way of saying that ETH is where the majority of adoption and activity is. There are lots of options, EOS is also a good example of where we could have built it... but we just wanted to be where the user-base is.

Honestly, I have never used a service like this before. I finally had a chance to spend some of my Ethereum and I don't regret it. I had to install MetaMask in order to use your service but it wasn't difficult at all. I have to admit that everything is easy to use and complete newbie shouldn't have any problems with using your service. I really like the quick amounts - they are reasonable and even if someone would like to adjust the value, it is very easy to do it. Website looks great, I really like dark themes. User interface is simple and looks prety good. Making a bet takes less than a minute! All you have to do is select the game, choose which team you think will win, type in the amount or select from the quick amounts that I mentioned before and... send Ethereum! Let's see if I will win the bet, I will update my review after the match.

You should consider adding "Contact" tab. I noticed Telegram invitation link after a few minutes. You should at least provide an e-mail address or make the invitation link more visible.

As i have not seen anything like this before, and i see a very big potential on it, i have decided to give it a try!

First of all, i enjoy very much how clean and simple your website UI is! Also using Metamask for your site, was a very good decision because it is user friendly, easy to use and secure. Placing bet was also an very simple process, you just choose the game which you want to bet on, then the team (or draw). Then you enter the sum which you want to bet. Big props for the "Quick Amounts" as these make the betting alot easier.

However here are some points, which i'd like improvements on as the site is still new and probably not developed according to user feedback as of yet:

  • Multiplier at the time should be shown on the bet page on each team
  • The site should have some games like CS:GO, Dota 2, Starcraft 2 and LoL for gamers as well.
  • Live support, in case something happens with the bet

So far i really like the idea, and how you guys have made it so simple!
Cheers! ;D

I just gave it a try to experience how it works, and I liked the user-friendliness of the the site. And the UI is quite simple but attractive.
I'm not sure if it is done for such kind of sites or not, but I just feel having a Chat section for users would be nice as the option for creating nicknames is already in there. So that people can visit the site for betting on games and meanwhile they can discuss about them in the chat with their chosen usernames. That would be more fun IMO.

This casino project is pretty nice. It looks a lot like current icos, but instead of offering a coin it offers the product for the already existing and used ethereum platform. I have already seen casinos with smart contract systems (like vdice, for example), but the fees and minimum bets in such casinos tend to be rather high (to justify the whole use of smart contract technology, I guess). It's a shame the op doesn't state the official website, though.
The website has understandable easy-to-use interface and I believe the min bet is 0.01 eth, which might be too much when eth's price is normal, but considering the current market state is actually pretty reasonable.
However, I think what lacks here is some faucet or 'play for fun' free mode to test it out.

As an experienced past gambler it was interesting to try new platform based on blockchain.
Things that I've liked: the introduction video (pleasant voice without annoying to make more bets and win millions), connection with metamask (very convenient), user-friendly interface and colors.
Things that I would like to see: the probability percentage of win/lost/draw, more options like "bet on the exact score", or "a player who will make a first goal".
Also I was fan of tennis express bets (when you make bets on 10-15 games and the coefficients multiply, it's very excitable), and of box and mma and it would be great see this disciplines also.
And the cherry on the cake could be celebrity-political bets, it is always very fun.

That and making a centralized service by combining Directbet and Betmoose would have been a better way to create it in my opinion.

But in any case, I am still interested in seeing more dapps compete with their centralized counterparts and find out what's cheaper to run.

First thing you'll notice about Crypto Sportz is the amazing user interface. I absolutely loved how simple it was to navigate and used. I placed a 0.005 bet even without knowing the teams because i simply wanted to try and see what the user interface would do next. Just one observation tho, the dapp doesn't differentiate between ETH main-net and test net. I forgot i was on the ropsten test net and it still accepted my bet regardless without notification. Thats it but overall, great job to the team behind this!

The flat user interface is exceptionally beautiful. The use of flat colors to emphasize important aspects simplified the whole app experience for me.

The tutorial at the start which told described how to make a bet was really useful but my criticism is that the use of MEMEs made it just a little bit less professional for me. Nevertheless, it is a well-built service that should definitely get more exposure. I wish nothing but the best to the Crypto Sportz team!

I have interest to add your service to Game Protect (https://game-proteect.com) website.

Can you please explain how the affiliation exactly works?

I create my affiliate link adding my ETH address. The player clicks my link and make some bets on your site. But as he do not create an account on your website, how do you know one or two weeks later when he comes back that he was referred by me?

I've actually now made 2 bets in total on this platform, and yesterday i PM'd the main account of Cryptos Sports here. (so far so fine, all of the winnings were paid accordingly).
If you have have won a game, you will have to manually redeem the winnings from here (i thought that the process was automatic :D): https://cryptosportz.com/my-games

You will have to have some gas laying around for paying tx fees on metamask, and after paying those you will receive your winnings in your address.
I wish that the payout process was automatic, and that some kind of fee would be charged on the bet amount instead of having to pay it when claiming winnings. Also your contracts denied my extra bets, as i tried to bet more on the game but it just got sent back ???

This is the tx turned back if you are interested (got tired after 2 times and stopped trying to bet more): https://etherscan.io/tx/0xa8617ea88de9bf19a698a4a5490d53bbb82f5faadd25c0fbf79236215d372c5e

Just remember to bet alot, or on a higher factor as i had factor (multiplier) of 1.04, betted 0.01 ETH and received under of that amount because of tx fees.

Edit: The message when trying to rebet is: Warning! Error encountered during contract execution [Reverted]

This should be fixed, as denying betting more is just really bad for business. Not sure if it was intentional or some kind of a bug.

Ps. Still waiting for CS:GO matches 8)

Wohoo. Love to see this kind of engagement and thank you for taking the time!

Sadly, if we made the payments automated then to launch the contract itself would be impossible as it would be huge AND we would have to limit the number of bets/bettors if it were to be possible. While ETH is in its infancy we thought the redeem process would be ideal. Trust us, we wanted that functionality too. Glad you're on the same page as us.

The error with the tx we think is a known issue, as you're trying to use your own referral link. Right? If you clear you cookies for our site, everything should work.

This is actually a part answer to this question... because the whole system works on cookies. As long as the user has the cookie, the contract wil send it the fee. The problem is when the user refers himself and them the contract says "I'm not paying you your own referral fee". We still need to fix it so that at least it doesn't reject transactions.

That is why I was asking myself:
Why would you need to use metamask because it is a application you need to install as an applet on your web browser and I do not like to do this if I do not need to in order to place a bet to use the site.
Just wish they would allow you to use myethereum to send to the smart contract and place a bet this way if you wanted to.
It is all about customer/player preference after all when it comes to the end product and them coming back to use it.

Being a user who is more of sports games than casino games on my first visit of https://cryptosportz.com/ what I first noticed was the padlock https which means all my transactions on the website are secure and then the user interface is as easy as they come and am impressed that cryptosportz encourages its uses to use MetaMask which shows they are security conscious but what i would have liked to see is cryptosportz showing the price for each selection shown to us without guesing, I think this is the standard of sports gambling as far as I know and is good to see they using eth for their bets to avoid delays but hope in the future the support extends to others popular cryptocurrencies. Overall I give them a 7/10 just to keep them off their toes and encourage them to keep improving 8)

You can check by yourself on our website: https://cryptosportz.com/. Right now there are 5 matches available.
More matches come often, it's all about the real life's events. For the short time, we are online, we have already had March Madness and Super Bowl except for all the single games. And many more are on their way to come from different fields.

In case you missed this, CryptoSportz featured on ProductHunt.

So far I really liked,Crypto Sportz.

Here are the things I like about Crypto Sportz it isn't much a hassle to signup and start playing. So far you don't need I'd for verification and such.Which is awesome and good.(other sport betting site's you would need your documents ready to be verified) or at least most do.

I really like how simplify this game is compare with other sport betting sites. Its like just go and bet and hope you are right with your prediction/bet and hope for the best.

I'm not very sure on this but I think or believe that maybe Crypto Sportz is first of its kind to have almost everything simplified for you as a sport better to just come and play.Which is great!

Until now Crypto Sportz only accepts ETH.But I hope that more crypto coins would be accepted in Crypto Sportz in the future.Unless they want only ETH for sport betters to bet with.

And for all the sport betters out there I would recommend for you to at least try Crypto Sportz out! Who knows maybe you would fell in love with it too!

I'm expecting more good things to come in Crypto Sportz as well.

Kudos to the CryptoSportz team. This is the essence of what blockchain dapps are built for - a simple application that has a real (and actually fun) use case.

I guess it was eventually time for some people to develop a dapp this nice and smooth. As a developer myself, i see a lot of work and thought has been put into the user interface. But more than the user interface, i love how everything is well handled. I was actually trying to find some bugs and trying to input random and wrong values but i found no loopholes. Everything seems to be intact and in order.

Good luck and good job to CryptoSportz. I hope people get addicted to betting on your platform!  :)

Hey guys,

We're excited to announce that our v2 is now live and it is a sports dedicated prediction platform operating on an Ethereum smart contract. Like Augur, just with greater context for sports and no weird open ended components. Please take a look and let us know what you think.

www.cryptosportz.com

It features fixed odds, loads of daily games/sports/leagues, no commission and no fees, powered completely by smart contracts.

For the the guys that love to ask detailed tech questions, please do and we'll make sure to answer but... Here's how it works:

Your ETH is safely stored in the contract when you deposit it (and you can withdraw at any time)

When you make a bet, you sign a transaction to the contract that locks in your ETH - including the odds you are betting on, the game ID and your position

When the game is over, the person that won (you or the user that created the odds) is able to claim their winnings from the contract just as you used to before on Crypto Sportz, by sending a redeem transaction

Essentially it's the same platform as what we've had before, only now you get to bet with fixed odds because we are letting people create their own markets (odds) using exchange mechanics. Before all of the ETH would go into a single pool for every game which was then split between those that guessed correctly. Now, every user is able to set up odds (be a market maker) or take odds (market taker). Feel free to chat with us in the Telegram group if any of this is hard to understand.

The website looked really professional and smooth the design is really cool and unique although, I suggest to make a on-site tutorial to guide new users because it took some time to figure out how things work especially with placing bets and for some reason website fails to load on my desktop no issues on laptop not sure what is causing it its probably something from my side but it would be nice to know the reason behind it, best wishes for the project's future looking forward to see CryptoSportz grow!

This is one of a kind. As I am new to this, I think it is better to stay around a while to understand how it works.

How does a new user, who may not have meta mask installed, create an account to see what exactly the betting options are?

Very non-intuitive to create an account or see why a new user would create one.

It should have an option for bitcoin holders to be able to create and account and swap BTC for ETH? It's the bitcoin talk forum after all...lots of people hold bitcoin that don't own Ethereum yet.

Nice looking site.
