That caused by the majority of bad news were attacking icos. G20 will be discussing about that soon. As far as i know we know that not only ethereum but all of the blockchain platform that offers an ability to generate our asset gets a big decrease on the price too. You must see another token just like NEO, Polymath and they are all getting the same way just like ethereum.

Probably caused by news that cryptocurrency advertisement will be banned in major social media sites and even google. I think they find it alarming that more and more scam ICOs are popping and google and some major social media sites are some how liable for letting them advertise their ICO. This is somehow good because the tendency of scam ICO advertising their project on registered advertisement company is lesser.

The drop in price is not just on Ethereum alone but across the cryptosphere. Although Ethereum has experienced more drop in price of about 16% in the last 24 hrs as compared to Bitcoin's 9% drop of the same period.

Do not panic Ethereum is just in a bearish market cycle just like bitcoin, once this cycle completes then we will see next bull run too, so just be patient and wait for the right time, crypto is just getting started, good times will come soon.

It's typical for ETH to fluctuate a bit more than BTC. Especially in dumps like this. Hopefully everything stabilizes soon.

Many had speculates prices and best choice when buying at dump price. Dump price causes a lot of fuds, it so happen of went down and up but usually fuds may disappear. And I think ethereum can bounce back, mostly ethereum uses in so many ico's. So definitely ethereum will going high.

Yes Ethereum suffer from this now but not just ETH all crypto and even BTC is also dump and I am hoping soon it will go up again so my investment will go up again . Im too sad of what's happening to be honest I totally lose half of my investment and that's very alarming :(

When bitcoin and ethereum dropped a lot everyone thought it is the end. However, time and patient made patient investors to earn a lot when bitcoin reached it's ATH at $20,000 and ethereum at $1400. We cannot actually tell that it's the end just because the market fell too hard. It can be a great opportunity for investors to buy more.

I think it will go down even more.  Don't forget thet last summer when eth was at 300-ish people considered it as a bullrun.  The price was high back then and a lot of investors were quie happy about that.  1400 was just ludicrous and couldn't be held much longer.  Now that the price is 500 ish, it's actualy still quite high.  It could go down back to 300ish and stay there for months.  A lot of early investors need noobs to leave the room and forget all about their bad investment episode in crypto.  After the dust settles and they're gone, we're in for the next ride.  Until then: you better hold on.

Well, I must say that this is definitely a good buy at this price range. But, don't go all in yet. We haven't seen the bottom yet and I think we can go down to $350 area. I think the price will stabilize again and go back up. From the investment banking perspective, I hear a lot of FUD about bubbles. Since there aren't a lot of institutional investors in this market yet there technically is no bubble to pop. Retail investors still dominate the cryptosphere so any concerns about overvaluation should be considered moot for the foreseeable future.

Ethereum has bounced back nicely alognwith Bitcoin and other cryptos on positive G20 news.
This may be the final bottom. We'll see if this rally continues higher.

EOS developers are begging for money in bitfinex.

The team was dumping it at the cheap price that if that was not caused by the g20 summit. but the fact EOS holders are dumping ethereum form the crowdsale to the market.

EOS looks like a terrible project.

It's certainly not good to see that number fall so low.  But it's not a reflection on Ethereum specifically.  All of crypto is down right now.  It will come back.  I would say if anything now is a good time to take a strong position on Ethereum, because the price is favorable for a buy scenario.

It is been a painful week for all cryptocurrencies, but Ethereum in specific has been struggling tough, at one factor shedding under $500 for the first time in 2018, and resetting its prices back to pre-December phases..Overall Ethereum's withdrawal perhaps most carefully tied to ICO uncertainty, rather than anything else..Regardless of the uncertainty and slipping utilization, there still appears to be a lot of demand for the token, notably when the cost gets this low..Ethereum is still one of the best investments.

It was superb awesome entry level for ethereum. I think many people jumped on it for future. We will probably never see that level later this year. I wish I had more money to buy some ethereum but I couldn't.

We keep still, we use any ways to stop at least somehow and do not give doubts to investors to withdraw money from the market. But if there is again a correction, we already can not stand it and fall even below the suggested price.

I bought 10 ethereum for 480 dollars. I think eth will go 1200 - 1300 dollars for 1 ethereum. This will be happen in june.

Today ETH prices have risen again, at $ 550. Although growth is slower than BTC but I think in the coming weeks ETH will reach $ 900. This is the best investment period for ETH, I do not have much capital but I try to buy an ETH to hold, I believe in the next few years ETH will surpass the BTC.

With the recent price fall most of of the users have invested into ethereum, because it is predicted to grow big by the end of the first quarter of the year. The whole market is reduced in price. Ethereum is a very solid project in my eyes. I think that the price will move up again. It started to recapture the market again. That's a positive sign.

Seeing bitcoin dropped that much and there's no double sided mind that it was followed by major alt coins like ETH. Bitcoin now from $7,800 -> $8,500 while ETH from $500 -> $550. Even if the etherium will drop again in its price i still believe that it will recover sooner or later this year once the king rises in its price again. Etherium is not the only one that is dropping in price but most of the altcoins are in dip and also bitcoin. Because of the bad news that have been seeing in some of the social medias. This is exactly what I don't want to see. ETH and BTC will go down because of the ban applied on bitcoin ads. From what I have heard of, facebook and google already banned bitcoin advertisements. I was buying ETH  at its drops to  $700- $800. Should have waited if I knew it will come that low. Anyway, it be all right once it is back above $1000 in next month or two.

This is the first time this is happening this year and I think corrections is on the way and another bullish trend will resume. Ethereum has done very well in few months back and I think it can do better again. You are very lucky if you have bought ETH below $400 because that is so cheap. I wish I have the funds and bought at least 2 ETH and hold for long term or even at the end of the year.

I thought if you were buying at bitfinex and you should get more ethereum because the dumb team from EOS team was dumping a lot of ethereum from the crowdsale to the market directly. Believe that Fundamental Ethereum has been secured by several major factors, such as the EEA (Enterprise Ethereum Alliance) association that has been formed with dozens of globally incorporated companies such as Microsoft, Inter, and CME Group. so do not worry when the price goes down, stay patient and do not despair.

This is something not specific to Ethereum, almost all cryptocurrencies are declining at the moment. One main reason for Ethereum fell below 500 was the announcement from SEC that it will investigate unregistered ICO's and since the majority of ICO's are on Ethereum blockchain this decline was inevitable.

Well, it was as a result of the fources of demand and supply and at this time the supply of ethereum is far higher above the demand for it and in such a situation like this economically speaking, the price of ethereum has to fall although ethereum current value is far above  $500 as at the time of this post.

I think so. I kept on buying when the price dropped below 0.07 bitcoin. I think the price would be 0.1 bitcoin in the long term.

at that moment i bought some eth coin. according to me at below $500 is good price to investing my fund. supported by G20 are cryptocurrency not harmfull for the world economical development, so i dare to invest them

I don't think anyone can say this is the last time ETH going to dip below 500. Crypto now fast becoming another major investment asset, anything is possible. ETH is the main blockchain for new token launch, but we knew cryptoverse changes in split second, as many other competitors are awaiting take the lead. If Ethereum development is underwhelming this year, I think Ethereum still in moderate risk in losing out.

Buy when there is blood in the streets. This might be the best time. One thing that hinders the growth of ETH is mass dumping by ICO owners. Most of the ICOs raise money via ETH and they can't sick to them for volatility reasons so they convert these into Fiat which actually lowers ETH value. I'm not worried on the longterm, but short term I have no clue, if only I had taken some profit. It's strange how most people I know didn't take significant profits and it still crashd so hard. I bet there's some market manipulation going on to get people to panic sell, wish I panic sold at the start, now it's too late though.
