Good spot - this is an early whitepaper for us and a new revision is on its way in a few days. Absolutely mobile apps and integration with mobile wallets is a very high priority. We are exploring a few ways to deploy uniformly across mobile using WebKit and/or something with a little more flair like ARCore/ARKit. We have some great mobile skins already worked up by our resident photoshop guru so its a matter of transplanting that onto a beautiful touch UI/UX that works well on tablets and phones.

Definitely a high priority for us. We have some pretty advanced alphas though so rest assured, we're on it :)

absolutely, we have a base of operations mapped out and the local licensing and taxation requirements verified (expensive, but certainly achievable). Since this solution is entirely server-free, swarm-based for web content and blockchain-based for table content and client interactivity, one could argue (dangerously) that there is no need for a license since it doesn't operate in any given country and is spread across all nodes and only peers communicate directly with each other. even the client will be distributed in that manner.

However! we aren't reckless :) There is a logical case to be made for locating us in the isle of man and taking up a fairly traditional licensing agreement. There is no need to run afoul of legalities when there is a profitable entity that can still operate with huge benefits compared to other major poker sites. we're up for the challenge, we want to do it legally properly the first time, a little like Napster...didn't.

RE: legal requirements we have focused on recent SEC rulings and the exemptions for registered investors and low net trade investment vehicles, and done our utmost to engage legal advice and examine what other startups are doing in this space to ensure that is covered off. it's a bit of a minefield, but we are setting aside a good % of operational budget to solve legal requirements, legislative barriers in different countries, how to work on advertising bans and align ourselves with relevant lobby groups.

Thanks for the valuable commentary on this. It's good for people to know this has been considered at length and a lot of work put in to address issues.

Haha - it was our legal advice that 'all forms of gambling' were banned in Saudi Arabia, so we would be forced to set your account to a play money only state I'm afraid. We don't want to annoy your government :)

Whether you are permitted to participate in an online token sale and/or crypto-currency is (as usual) a grey area. Ripple claim to operate with Saudi Arabian banks with permission and there were rumours of a state-side crypto raising for a state currency even!

I wouldn't just take our advice on the crypto side though, check it out locally. We'd love to have you in the community either way.

Turbo tables, short-buy in tables, Blind tables, forced multi-tabling...we have that, some of it feels a bit 2010 though, who hasn't played short handed or turbo by now...we will do it, but we have some interesting variations that you can try out for bonuses and jackpots. Is ethpoker having online games for poker players?

absolutely! that's the number one premise of it. Fully peer to peer so you aren't playing against a setup house edge or a known probability or anything like that. It will come down to the draw of the cards and your personal skill. Of course some people suggest certain poker games have more luck/less skill or more skill/less luck, we won't get into THAT argument! :) :)

To some of the posters above....nothing like a bit of a flutter/bet/poker game!! :) the adrenaline! haha. we're all hopeless. so long as you have fun and don't go too crazy

Poker is one of the best game and once I lost big time on 4 of kind of Qs vs 4 of kind of Ks. I think it's just a ge of luck. Fortunately I was playing in a group of friends therefore no heart feelings.

Compared to other poker sites (even blockchain sites, which do not solve the block-time problem and basically operate like a normal site), our benefits include:

- Bigger community. Through AirDrop, Crypto promotions, Pre-launch advertising and bonus campaigns, we will have a larger launch community than most of the large Poker websites that exist already. Your EPX won't be play money; it is the real currency used on the site tables

- Wider variety. Although our casino allows you to exchange your Tokens and/or Coins into EPX to play with them, we will offer some limited/unique events where you buy in with the  actual crypto you have. We haven't settled all the details yet but think along the lines of "Monthly DOGECOIN tournament" just for a bit of interest/variety and to directly involve other communities

- Avoidance of Black Friday. That's right, we went there... We won't be ever in a situation like Full Tilt. Your money will stay in your wallets. We will not be running a huge account that stores everyone's money. The only time your funds will leave your wallet is when you join a cash table or begin a tournament. You will settle up anytime you time out of the table or leave the table, or win a cash-paying placement in the tournament results. Table content and lists as well as player tracking will occur on the blockchain, using a combinatin of nodes, clients, and network-elected distribution point nodes.

- Licensed: despite being located in a network swarm with no fixed geo location, we will obtain licensing and base our operations from the isle of man. We have some contacts and preferential license arrangements in that location. We also have a backup plan for another location if someone occurs in this location. There are always options for us in this situation due to the design of the software/layout/blockchain method.

- VIP program: Some sites only give lip-service to their VIP programs. We don't. We take our VIPs very very seriously. This is going to be run like a high-end Vegas VIP program. If you are one of our high-rollers, you will be treated like a high-roller. If you aren't a high roller - to an extent you will STILL be treated like a high-roller. :) We have excellent rake back and bonus schemes planned. We feel this can be a very profitable company/project and yet still offer incredibly generous benefits to its users. in poker game, you must have an extra lucky to be the winner, or you must have an experience and know how to make your opponent surrender by making him nervous with your confident.
