I always think EOS is a good token, and EOS is likely to surpass ETH.
If EOS has a larger throughput after the launch of its main network, I think EOS will become the real block chain 3.0, and EOS will get most of the market quota.

If I have a lot of money then I will choose Bancor, With its age Only a few months looks pretty high price. It's not an easy thing to fully understand the core values ​​of the Bancor protocol but I see BNT's technology allows people to invest their money here.

I do not agree with you if EOZ will surpass ETH, in terms of spreading and volume, sales power in the market, and also value, of course ETH is more professional. simply, not possible new altcoin surpass the old altcoin.

Begging for merit is not a nice move to get some, dont you feel embarrassed on what you are doing? maybe you may get some merit on this post if you dont ask for it, but you show us that this post is just to earn some merit and not to help, though the topic is useful its better to wait for someone will appreciate you than to beg for it.

Nice list but I don't invest/ trade in altcoin since down trend market at February 2018. I already see their history and not too good, so why you say " best "?. That coin not familiar for me and maybe half of forum member must think twice in which part the " best " is?. Even I trade/ invest right now I'll not follow you, sorry. 

The list is not bad. I have almost all the altkoins from this list and a few more coins in which I believe. For example, the project is zrx, I believe that it has a very great future.

If anyone is selling merit and you have a proof, then report them as they will get banned, but what you are doing yourself is totally against the rule. It simply shows how desperate you are for merit and that is uncalled for. First things first, contribute to the community, get the attention of people with your quality post, and if they deem it necessary to always give you merit, you will get it, otherwise, you are just going to get people who may want to give you merit even get pissed by your begging for it.

Although I am a beginner, I'm not sure that you chose the most prospective coins. On the general market, the market all grow up but the prospects for some are very small;)

Everyone here is contributing in their own way and if you feel no one is giving you merit for what you are posting as a member of the community, then you can quit posting.

It is a free world with a lot of free information, so begging for merit before you continue posting is absolutely ridiculous. If people find what you do useful, you will get merit, but stop begging for it, as that would easily put anyone off.

For me the best altcoins for 2018 are these, NEO ($NEO) and 0x ($ZRX). Why i believe in NEO. ($NEO) recently started to gain more attention from investors. Its price more than doubled since the beginning of December. In January, the team will further distribute the network, guaranteeing no single group of node operators can control the network. It will also have a number of ICOs launching on its platform in the months to come, which will further strengthen the network’s position. Why i believe in 0x ($ZRX). 0x ($ZRX) backs the 0X project, which is creating a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange for ERC20 tokens established on top of the Ethereum blockchain. It aims at overcoming security issues related to the centralization of current exchanges like Bitifinex or Coinbase, which makes them more exposed to threats.

Good list with one exception: consider adding VeChain to your list. It is undervalued at the moment.

Why is Monero not listed in your list. I agree we are now studying VeChain. 90% that we will add it to this list. In fact, we will add many more coins, now we are busy analyzing many projects and ICO.

 I think The Merculet Coin will be a worth holding coin . I have seen the roadmap of merculet in future  and it will go to top in 2019. Another coin is ABT which i think would sucessful as ETH did

With all due respect to your opinion I would just like to add a point that's nothing but I have stopped trusting the existing altcoins as we have witnessed these coins will just dump if the value of bitcoin falls but I support and trust ethreum.

I am holding EOS, ADA, TRX still i am beliving this coins it will be the millionaire coins for 2018 . Still some coins like COSS , Kucoin shares (KCS) exchange coins which is trading in low value you can grab that and hold atlat it is paying devidends. Powerledeger first power based project in crypot space still doing well .

I wonder how attractive to the gamblers are honest casinos based on blockchain technologies. Many after all know how dishonest classical online casinos

yes, I completely agree with you that EOS will not go beyond Ethereum.
Ethereum can be labeled as king of Altcoin, so I find it very difficult to go beyond Ethereum

A bit of critisism to the list. Because it is not the best in my opinion.
I would delete some coins from the list as they are not fundamental anymore (hype have passed) - for example, PAY. Tenx is not a fundamental coin anymore - not sure that it may increase in value more than some of other coins in your list.
And of course you list TRX!?? Common man - this coin is pump and dump coin and not fundamental. People should be carefull with it. It may only serve for daily trading.

I would definetly add BNB, WAN, ICX, NEO, FSN, QLC - these are fundamentally strong coins. I am also thinking of loading some ZPT to my portfolio. If galaxy release will be great - so we may expect more and more interesting games in blockchain on Zeapin platform.

My best altcoin is GVT. I really trust project, team and supporters.

if to choose a good altcoin is actually a lot and maybe sometimes we can be confused to be able to choose and analyze when the altcoin will rise prices first, if I could say newcomers, and I prefer altcoin that has the potential to be able to hold with time long term, such as, ETH, ETC, LTC, WAVES, XLM and XRP, that's my choice altcoin.

Ethereum.  Pay close attention to what the coin DOES and what it stands for.

I like the list you shared, I also have some good projects in my mind that I think you should buy, pretty much every one of the following coins have a good future. Take a look at these:
STRATIS, POWR, TAU, ICO and QTUM. I’m bullish about Lamden, people are saying TAU is the next ETH so I’m strong on this one.

I buy Alts now that are long term, there are some good projects out there that are making their names. Check these out my friend.
PRG, NEM, IOTA and ETHOS. I like the progress made by these in past few months.

I'd add MSR - Masari to the list as well. Super cheap right now for the relationship it has with Monero!

The best alt coins in my opinion are ETL, ADA, ICX, PRG and POWR. They are great ones and have good prospects. I really believe they will deliver according to their respectives roadmaps. You have to do a research on them. They are worth investing in.

The coins I currently have in portfolio are LISK, TAU, ETH and MCO. I don’t think you can go wrong with these coins. I mean they have working on great projects. They have highly efficient teams. Please have a look at them. It is recommended to invest in them.

FGC is by far the most active coin around at the moment. Just within the last month they have started a 50 million Euro fund raising process, Live events for their Esports sites and partnered with an ATM company for people to buy FGC from and ATM. in addition have listed on HITBTC. this coin is about to take off.

good altcoin is altcoin that can survive in an uncertain market situation, for my own good Altcoin is Neo because quite stable in the market.

Definitely a masternode coin worth looking at.  So many of the masternode coins out there are trash.  This coin is legit with a working product and active team.  As mentioned great ROI on this coin.

In my mind, the best Alt Co I think is ETH, ADA, and EOS. I think they are very good coins, have a very good prospect. I believe with those coins because they will give you huge benefits. If you want to have those coins, you should first do some research on them. they are also very good for in making a long-term investment.

The only altcoins that i know this was a huge price be coming was ETH, I do not know if it is true or not. But i will trust ETH to be my earning in profit in this year of 2018. So ill started to buy some of ETH from the market and holding of it.

In the future, one should expect that, with the flourishing of the market, NEO will show itself in all its glory, because the platform for the Asian market, which is the most numerous, is oriented.

Really those are just a few of the main reasons, but overall cryptocurrencies are far superior in speed, cost and security than any fiat currency.
