Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Be Worlds Single Leading Currency. The CEO of twitter Jack Dorsey has said that that the Bitcoin will be the worlds single currency. In the wednesday interview of times with Jack Dorsey he himself noted as a bitcoin investor and said that ” I believe that cryptocurrency will take over the US dollars and becomes the primary global currency for payments within the time of 10 years or less”. He personally reviewed that the world and internet will have a single currency and that will be Bitcoin.

While the price of bitcoin is going on slowly and costly the twitter CEO has argued that new solution will ease the difficulty in the end. Jack Dorsey also said that ” The more and more people have it, Those things go away there are new technologies for the blockchain to make it approachable for everyone”. Jack Dorsey is putting his money on the Bitcoin where his words can bring the Bitcoin transactions to faster and cheaper.

Bitcoin is already the worlds leading Crypto currency. I disagree with him that Bitcoin would replace Fiat currencies, because the world is not ready for that and neither Bitcoin scaling at the moment. These governments will rather create their own GovCoins where they have full control over the currency, before they allow Bitcoin to replace their Fiat currencies.

We have already seen this in places like Denmark, where they want to move to a cashless society.  ::)

In 10 years? That's an audacious statement. We do not even know if the community can still altruistically run Bitcoin nodes, as the blockchain's size reaches a point that it would be too expensive to run one.

I am not talking about storage, but bandwidth.

Yes, i agree with the Twitter CEO and his statement that bitcoin will be leading world's currency and it will be ruling all over the internet as every people around the world will be having in their wallet. I agree with him because even i am personally invested in then bitcoin and there are many pro traders who are holding it for long-term and we all believe that it is the one coin which has longer value and potential in the coming years and even i am expecting it to be the king all over the world.

In the next 3 years, maybe 5, Bitcoin will be for sure still the leader. After that we can't tell. The technology evolves far too rapidly and many things can happen.
Bitcoin to become leading currency for payments? Hm, in 10 years it's possible. Again, if nothing better emerges meanwhile.

Or if by some technological miracle a solution to the ever growing size of the blockchain is solved. I believe Bitcoin's blockchain would be over 5 - 10 terrabytes large in 10 years, also having taken account the growth in users.

As said, storage will not be the problem but bandwidth might be.

Powerful and visionary seeing potential in bitcoins is a good proof of that fact that bitcoins are not bubble. I have heard only positive opinions from all successful people bitcoins except Warren Buffet. Warren Buffet is investing in stocks and thus him supporting bitcoins will be quite contradictory.

I hope we hear more such positive news about bitcoins as it really helps to combat the FUD being spread regarding crypto. It also brushes off the rumor regarding Twitter going to ban crypto related ads.

A week ago twitter want to forbid crypto adversiting and now their Ceo said, that Bitcoin and crypto will be one currency in future. Its funny, how big people trying manipulate the price.  

Yeah but I don't like what Twitter is doing for other digital currency business, by not allowing blockchain companies to advertise for their ICOS. It's kind of ironic unless TWITTER is very PRO BITCOIN and anti-everything else. I like the idea of Bitcoin to gain a large market cap as that will positively affect the crypto market in general but big companies like Twitter aren't making it easy for those in this space. I hope that one day Twitter acts more positively to the blockchain sphere unless the U.S is clamping down on anyone advertising crypto projects, like a bully lol.

this will certainly add up to so many achievements of bitcoin, though he is quite late, bitcoin is already the leading coin in the digital world, even from the start, bitcoin is on top of market shares, but this news will surely help boost the morale of this platform, since twitter is partly engaged in bitcoin due to twitter campaigns that pay bitcoin, twitter also benefited from  bitcoin because of the campaigns that are running at present.

His views aren't that far fetched, we're moving in to a more global world where in 10 years time the need for international currency movement will be much much greater than it is today, just look where we were 10 years ago, A LOT has changed in that time.

If borders keep opening up more, competition will create a scenario where bitcoin becomes adopted locally to cater for people coming from outside, still a long way from reality but it's not that bad of a view, people are always looking at the now when trying to determine the future, imagine the idea of having computers in our pockets using wireless internet 20 years ago.

I dont believe Bitcoin will even be the leading cryptocurrency in 10 years.  Too many technical and political flaws, one of the others (or as yet un-created) coin will come to dominate.  

We cannot say yet that bitcoin will be the leading crypto currency in the years to come. Why do I say this? because there are plenty of good coins that offer better technology than what bitcoin has. Think of it like Apple, it was the starting way for all the smart phones until android came into play. I dont know when the day would come that bitcoin would be over thrown in the top but probably it will come.

This all sounds too optimistic. Regulators can prohibit its use and threaten with a prison term, then bitcoin will return to the price of 100 bucks and already no one will be ineteresen. He has such a course, only because regulators look at him positively and he does not interfere with the world financial system, but imagine if he becomes a threat?

A very interesting statement from Jack Dorsey. Bitcoin will becomes the primary global currency for payments within the time of 10 years or less. I think everyone in this forum is also hoping for the same.

The world’s single currency in a 10 year time frame from now? Yeah that’s not going to happen. What could realistically happen within 10 years is bitcoin being implemented into mainstream payment methods for huge companies like Amazon, Ebay etc, that alone could see the proce comfortably reach $100,000 per bitcoin.

I’d be more than happy enough to see that kind of progress.

Bitcoin can be one of the leading accepted cryptocurrency in the future instead of using Fiat money but I don't think Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency can be replaced with Fiat.

hopefully what is cited by the CEO twitter.com is true, hopefully twitter does not prohibit advertising crypto currency in falformnya like facebook and google

We never knew what happen in next 10 years, maybe will born new coin or new kind of system that much better than cryptocurrency system

The centralised crytpo efforts are not able to compare to btc.

They achieve nothing towards having a global decentralised currency... or any form of global currency

Whether his prediction will come true or not, it's still positive that these semi high-profile people are publicly coming out in support of Bitcoin.
It is a bit strange though that this comes from the CEO of Twitter, since they're planning on banning crypto-related ads.

We'll have to see what kind of ban they're looking to put in place, for now it's just speculation anyway.

The truth is, more and more people know and acknowledge bitcoin. The impact of bitcoin is very clear to the lives of people, along with the large corporations that use blockchain technology in their companies. That's great. This will be good news for the market.

Every country has a different financial system and I'm sure many banks in the world will refuse because they have a system that is much different from Blockchain. if the twitter CEO says Bitcoin will be the single currency in the world, we agree because our goal as a community wants Bitcoin to be a legal transaction tool worldwide..

I partly agree with his statement. The global currency is not going to be USD or EURO or CNY, it needs to be more neutral and not controlled by one country's bank. Bitcoin is the original digital currency with no national control and is therefore the only contender to be an international currency

I smell a conspiracy of big people on this. once they support, on another they ban. also it doesn't make my sense how Bitcoin will take over the US Dollars becoming the primary currency, where many nations now are banning Bitcoin as legal transaction currency. those nations are willing to protect the authorities of their own currencies from being replaced by cryptocurrencies.

If Twitter CEO believes bitcoin like so then why Twitter is banning the advertisement of a crypto. this is clearly inversely related to the news that has been circulated widely about the crypto ad advertisers by Twitter, should if Twitter CEO alone believes the future of bitcoin crypto ad should not be banned because it will accelerate his belief in bitcoin materialized.

Well considering there isn't currently a "world" currency, except for maybe gold, bitcoin doesn't have all that much competition. I think gold could be considered the one world currency. According to Forbes all the gold mined so far is worth $7.8 trillion. As of this writing bitcoin is worth $5.6 billion. So for bitcoin to usurp gold is faaarrr off. However, if you think bitcoin is in a bubble, then you don't understand how valuable it could become if even a few countries or banks decided to hold a small amount of bitcoin as a reserve currency.

It is part of consumer protection. Are all cryptocurrency ads banned? I think not, it's just that they are more selective in receiving advertisements from projects or companies that are really true and beneficial.

I've some concers to replace BTC for USD. But I've agreed other predictions. BTC will become one of the most biggest curriences over the world in near future.

Bitcoin is the coin of this age, thou this migth take a while as government all over  the world migth want to create there own coin that, that they can be incharge and determine it rate, Bitcoin is the driving coin for all digital currency, just the way dollar drive most fiat globally

It is good to see what Jack Dorsey sees and his vision about bitcoin, i am not sure about the rest of the coins but one thing i am certain is that bitcoin will be here for a very long time and it is a mainstream currency because you can trade anywhere in the world without much fuss.

Well,the twitter CEO was right and I agree with  him. More businesses are keen on accepting and adopting bitcoin. Bitcoin is alowly gaining  more supporter because of eqse of using it. This technology ia new and emerging and as it matures,more companies realize its importance.

World's single currency? As if the world government will agree on this one and this can be the fulfillment of many conspiracy theories about one world government, one currency.

Mate there's no official statement from twitter that they are going to ban cryptocurrency advertisements. Those articles came out does have "likely" on the title and authors are just speculating since google and facebook made the first move.

This always comes to my mind that someday in the future we live in a cashless society and human will pay anything with something digital like cryptocurrency but I'm not sure  Bitcoin will be the leader of that. The government won't let it happen, they might create their own crypto but to accept bitcoin it kind of impossible. Well it's all just speculation even statement from Twitter CEO, everything is possible to happen.

This is highly likely to happen in near future. It’s hard for anything new to replace something that stayed traditionally for long. But there’s no denying that Crypto is future currency.

this is definitely true because it is now clear to  everyone that  the governments of the world are changing there stance from an adversarial one to one of acceptance and obviously this is in response to there new found knowledge as to what bitcoins truly is . its clear that this was created with the aim of revolutionizing the world financial markets . The world is headed in a direction where our financial situations will become virtual and bitcoins is obviously the vehicle chosen to take us there so this statement come as no surprise to me as it was clear from the beginning that bitcoins is the currency of the new world order.

This is so true believe it or not. Bitcoin is the next step of future. Day by day every country is realizing the importance of Bitcoin or crypto currency and they are accepting it. Near future people will use Bitcoin as their main currency for sure. Crypto is future currency  and we have to admit it.

     Well, that guy is probably right if things go the way the people who support crypto currencies want to. But I think it probably will, because the let's face it, bitcoin really does have a lot of pros attached into it which increases as time goes by with the efforts of the people behind it to improve the usage of bitcoins. The best part? Well, we are still in the early stages of the crypto world which gives bitcoins together with all the other altcoins out there a lot of room and time for improvements. This is the reason why I try my best to accumulate as much as I can whenever given the chance financially.

I hope that will become a reality. So there are big corporations that accept and advertise bitcoin. People will trust and buy more bitcoins. The bitcoin market will expand and bitcoin prices will increase.

Twitter CEO doesn't know grammar well it's not will Bitcoins is already the world single largest currency, and it always will be this big. Now isn't this ironic at a time when there is news they may ban bitcoins ads.

Then again this is a welcome news for the community and if the endorsement is coming from twitter chief this could be huge for all of us.

However I don't see any impact on the prices which is strange considering that's a huge statement and there's hardly any news so is this a muted response to his words?
