So it appears Roberto Escobar wants to revolutionise the crypto currency market. With his brand new idea of forking bitcoin. Lol

There is an article here talking about it and among other things he claims the CIA  created bitcoin and will sell all their coins and tank BTC's price in the process.

I am shocked that he would point fingers at the CIA. ::)

If nothing else it's an funny read. I guess it's easier to fork BTC than to sell tons of cocaine.

With their very huge money that they have from illegal drugs there is nothing impossible for them but i guess for sure that the US government will use all of its power just to make this ambitious plan will not be successful like what Trump did to ban Petro coin because for sure Escobar will just use crypto currency to hide their huge illegal money that better he did not publish this plan of creating his Diet Bitcoin currency.

But at least this becomes knowledge for me even though nothing looks great ;D

For those that are reading the article look at the second sentence. He's going to offer what? Faster and lighter alternative to bitcoin? I heard this many times from other altcoins as well.

I wonder if this coins are made of 50% of cocaine. I think this will be a great crypto like what the Escobar's made their illegal business bloom and become bigger in their area. But what I am curious of, how Escobar know that alts will be down or be less than a dollar soon and his coin will be up. Very positive on that like they are positive on drugs. But I will just put this on watchlist. I will check this DDX and what it can bring to all of us.
  

i've read some of the articles about this today. i was having serious difficulty understanding what this guy is trying to tell us. i'm not sure he himself has a clue either.

For sure this projects of applications and to challenge Bitcon as alternative to use is just a front act just to hide their huge illegal assets which all came from illegal activities especially drugs that once their DietBitcoin will be successfully to join the market for sure it will be use to hide their huge money thru money laundering. Agree that it may be just for money laundering with the use of  bitcoin word in coin name. Plenty of people will buy just because of the name or any hype.

hmmm that is interesting for them.. having the money and putting it in these new coin does not mean that the coin is going to yield a good seed.. in my own view since the money is illegal the project can not go far

Bitcoin and crime. Every time criminals have and they are smarter over time. Rest assured, bitcoin is innocent, they will have ways to prevent crime only.

The news being given here is real, in the fact that he plans to launch this coin, with all the promises of faster/cheaper/ and being the best thing since sliced bread. ( Claims made by Mr. Escobar) maybe not the sliced bread one.

His own speculation on where BTC comes from can be placed on the shelf next to tinfoil hats, and DVD's from ghosthunters. I would say random things said by this guy won't affect the price of BTC anywhere near as much as as lets say something like BTC cash which is being hyped and primed by people who are disgruntled the network didn't go their way.

Considering this article came off a Major News site I'm going to wager my little post doesn't even reach .01% of the people they do. The people I do reach should have more sense if they are here on the Forum than to get worried by something like this. :-\

It's just a method of laundering drug money. Why not just use monero like everyone else :D Anyway, i think these variations are going to become more popular and if the petro takes off then we will see more latin coins. Diet bitcoin is an unusual name, perhaps he meant to call it lite bitcoin instead.
