If bitcoin did not exist and tomorrow there would have been the ICO of Bitcoin, would you buy it? Or would you invest in other projects?

in fact and various information, I have known. then I will buy bitcoin, along with this bitcoin price is down, this is an opportunity for all who have the capital to buy bitcoin. soon you invest and earn a lot of money.

if there were an ICO for bitcoin then it wouldn't have been called bitcoin anymore, instead it would have been called a shitcoin and i only buy shitcoins for trading purposes to make profit on the bitcoins that i already have.

unlike altcoins bitcoin was not created to make the creator of it rich. Satoshi never made bitcoin to earn money. he made bitcoin to make a decentralized currency. and such creation does not need an ICO or any other shenanigans to raise free money out of thin air.

An alt would always remain an alt to the original, and be faced with the same results no matter the name.

If future Bitcoin is like today I will buy them. Buy a lot, to hold them for a few years. At that time, I could become a Bitcoin millionaire. If the past can come back, I think we will have a hard time buying Bitcoin because the number of Bitcoin buyers is too great.

Since this is just an IF situation. Okay, if bitcoin didn't exist and there is an ICO for bitcoin.
What I'll do is study first this project if it's profitable and it's going to be worth of my money and time.
As we are just speculation and putting this situation on an IF case, there are some that will be skeptic about it.
And ideas about ICO aren't that popular.

Of course I did not buy it. I do not know what it is and what it can help me. It was just like that when the bitcoins were just beginning. No one has been interested in it, but over time it has increased its demand because it can do so in our lives.

It's all about the nature than a name, if there were other name for the first crypto, than bitcoin would just be another altcoin.
For bitcoin to have an ICO, it must have a 100% premine or a large one. And it would not be any different from any new mineable altcoins coin coming with an ICO and they all have same fate, failure.

My answers will be in two forms:
- Considering the fact that i have been well informed about cryptocurrency, if bitcoin is an ICO today, i will with utmost interest invest in it and even refer others to also invest into it.
- Secondly, peradventure i am just new to cryptocurrency and i have no accurate information as regards investing into ICO, i will think of it twice before investing. Which means i may not invest into it. Something of this nature happened to those that were first introduced to bitcoin.

no, i believe at the first time btc will work and have a future because it makes me money, so if this thing started with an ico and I have no knowledge of this thing, probably the best bet i will ignore it, like an ads that I watch about btc in 2012-2013 on youtube.

If bitcoin ceases to exist, no projects will survive. I'm 100% sure of that. Now you can say anything you want but this is only until the time when there is confidence in the existence of bitcoin. A lot of ICO is funded thanks to cryptocurrency. People have the opportunity to have additional income and can afford to invest in various projects. If bitcoin will disappear from the people once again will not be money available for investment.

What the reason you write if bitcoin will did not exist? I just weird about this time because many people who write about the future of bitcoin. I will say if bitcoin is not worth anymore, I think cryptocurrency will not exist because other people will be afraid to spend money and choose the investment place in cryptocurrency because of seeing bitcoin die. I think this will give a big effect on everyone's thinking.

The roads and way are sure to many. I'm sure there will be many ico emerging similar to Bitcoin. But many people will take advantage of the moment

I do not understand with your intentions, if there is no bitcoin the next day of course I will switch to another ico, if bitcoin is not like where i can buy it, but its bitcoin actually never goes away and that is just fantasy people do not like bitcoin alone

If you're assuming that in that scenario I'll have the knowledge about Bitcoin and what it will be, for sure I'll buy it.

I think when I already know bitcoin, maybe I will buy it. but, once bitcoin is not famous, and there is still a lot of negative news about it. well, I am very careful, so I may not buy something that is still not well known.

But then what would Bitcoin be trying to be? Would Bitcoin try to be the next Ethereum or would it have its open payment system? Honestly not gonna lie one main reason I got involved with Bitcoin was because of the network that it has and if Bitcoin was going to ICO I may scoff at the idea.

I definitely will buy bitcoin, its like for curiosity, its new electronic currency in the world wide web so maybe i will buy this and keep it. Last time when bitcoin is so much cheaper they used this for game developers or program to purchase some skins on that game. Then it was introduce to some marketing affiliates then next here we go the exchangers and its boom now as long there a trade or buy and sell with that coin it would be a good and start of the development. But always do research it is a basic rule were you invest your money do study and research before anything else. Good luck.

If its happen, then firstly I will check the Roadmap of that project.
Then, whitepaper read and finally I will check the future bright about thats project. Because I did not know about the project.
If without thinking anything I would invest, then I was blind. So, first research about project, we can not know which project will be hit or not.

No, I would not buy bitcoin in this case. Bitcoin is good for its community, but if it does not exist, then there is no bitcoin itself. In general, this is not a very correct question. Bitcoin has some inherent properties including historical ones, this can not be changed.

If they used different name instead of bitcoin but the system are the same as it is yes I will buy.for example they used etherium instead of bitcoin and the rules or procedure are the same, but I will go first for the signature campaign then after that I invest.

It depends, there are already other cryptocurrencies or bitcoin is still the first cryptocurrency? If there are already other cryptocurrencies then it will not make any sense to invest in any coin that is just a copy of another that is why all of those copies of bitcoin are useless and never succeed, however if in your scenario bitcoin is still the first cryptocurrency but instead of the coins being given to those that mine it there was an ico I will probably invest in it but not much.

I would buy bitcoin, I will read alot about ICO's before investing coz we all know that they need smart contracts before it utilize. Tho that time I will be skeptic so I could invest a little probably.

In my point of view, analyzing and studying the project and the future possibilities of Ico Bitcoin, without doubts i would be an investor, but in general it is complicated to calculate this question where everything changes, concepts, opinions and investments.

That's why you'll never get rich. A lot of people think that they will become rich due to the fact that they have now bought 1 bitcoin. I don't believe that. Now everyone knows that bitcoin is valuable and therefore there is no chance to get rich. Only those who believed and bought bitcoins when they cost 1 dollar became rich.But it was a big risk.

It's very interesting question because almost every day I ask myself if I bought btc in 2011-2012, when nobody knew about in, we there were not sooo much hype around and of course not so high price.
And anyway my answer is no, I would not. Because I'm sure, that there exist smth right today, that in couple of years will have higher price and what we don't know today about.

Unless there is other coin that is being backed by blockchain and which is like the first while other ones will be altcoins, then if an ICO is  being  run for Bitcoin i will then invest in it because there are other coins already being promoted and bought. This is a truly original question. I would give you merits if I had any. If there were all other coins around, but bitcoin was on ICO stage, I guess it wouldn't have survived on the market. People would say something like that: what is the product for the btc project? What's the project really about if we already have blockchain? It doesn't even enable smart contracts! Oh, and the transactions are really slow. Who's the coin's creator? No team leader? It's probably a scam!

If I want to buy bitcoin, the most important thing would be informations about this coins. Is it profitable, all informations about team, support and opinion other people. Like any coin

If theres an ICO then most probable thing that there is already a Crytpo coin into the market if none then hesitations on investing would really be there just like on what we do feel on bitcoins first existence on where the early adopters and believers did risk to engage.Towards the question im not really sure if would decide to invest into things which are on first encounter but if bitcoin whitepaper can be read on,then high chance i would really take a risk.

Definitely i would have brought bitcoins if the ICO would have been tomorrow as I was in my teens when bitcoin was launched and didn't had such knowledge about cryptography and other stuff so I wasn't able to know about bitcoin but when I came to know about bitcoin I became mad after bitcoin and now I am still here and have spent more than 3 years in that process, but have spent most of my coins and still dreaming of collecting 100 bitcoins. When this dream of mine come true then I will still continue to post here, but also start my own business related to blockchain technology.

I would have resisted investing in an ICO as I have encountered a lot of fraud ICOs which did look legit but ultimately turned out to be Ponzi. What I've learned from it is invest after observing the coin for a while in the market and if it turns out to be well, invest in the coin during the market is down.
What this does is it increases your faith in the coin and reduces the risks a bit.

Yes i will buy around 1k pcs coin i am sure the price would be cheap if it will come in ICO. I will consider it as one of my alt coin that i just keep in there corresponding cold wallet until the price of each become 5$-10$ then i'm gonna sell them all. There would never be a bitcoin ICO because bitcoin is created by nakamoto satoshi and he did not want to collect any money to develop his project. He can do it by himself and make bitcoin popular all over the world. IF there was a bitcoin ICO, I would never spend a single penny on it

I am very interested in this crypto. I just joined and did not have bitcoin but because I want to try trading, I bought bitcoin with cash. I started to try with a little capital and now I am be grateful my capital has increased.

I'd say that I'm going to buy a coin that has good value and has good potential and still lots of good coins besides bitcoin but no one can replace bitcoin there is a good coin like Ethereum that can transact quickly and have good trust

For me, i will not buy it. It is like the other coins who are just starting to bloom and the knowledge you know about it is very low. If bitcoin will not exist then whichever coin will be there we should do the thorough research about that coin and then only invest in it.

This appears to me as both a funny and a puzzling question. This may be a highly theoretical question but this is surely a good one.

But, to be honest, after thinking of my own set of criteria before joining any ICO, I think Bitcoin would fail. I do not invest in an ICO that has not proven something yet. In this case, since you set the case that Bitcoin did not yet exist, Bitcoin does not have any track record yet. I also do not trust an ICO with an anonymous team, much less a one-man team carrying only an alias. I also do not invest in a project's ICO whose background and experiences of the members of the team are not presented.

But then again, Bitcoin never had an ICO nor any of these criteria of mine, and yet as if it is written in the scriptures, it became miraculously successful, and even getting bigger and bigger up to this moment.

If bitcoin is an ICO then it depends on how successful and promising the campaigns is. With so many ICO's right now it is so hard to find a genuine and promising campaign. Like I normally do when I am interested on an ICO, I would do my research, hear some opinions of other investors, wait and see if bitcoin will become big and that is the time I would buy.

It is difficult to answer this question.  Because it was thanks to bitcoin that I learned about the crypto currency.  If they conducted an ICO bitcoin, then I would have bought it, if it was very cheap, and if there was a good advertising company, etc.

Knowing what I know now, and having the opportunity to buy it if it didn't exist, I think I would.  Although, I think the reason why I didn't buy it before was more of the fact that I didn't have extra funds to part with at the time and it was so new that it was too risky.

Bitcoin is valuable only because it is the first one and has broad distribution.

If this is true I will not buy BTC, because now there are more coin benefits than BTC like; ETH vs CMT, NEO..vvv. I gave up BTC and switched to CMT, I know CMT is the most potential coin today, they have more features than ETH. In the future they will occupy the entire Crypto market and they will be the market leader.

If Bitcoin is just a kind of tokens, I will think carefully before investing in it. Because, the future of BTC will depend on the quality of its project and product. If the devs team can create a good product or service, i will buy BTC.

okay, i like your opinion about bitcoin and it wasn't made to be an ico but i think you are a little harsh on Icos don't you think? because there is a lot of ICOs around with a working product and with ideas that could benefit cryptocurrency markets, in the long run, i know that most people are getting into it just to profit or increase their holdings but if any of the developers were slightly true about any of those ICOs we will see a lot of good changes around crypto soon

I was thinking of buying it because now is the right time and the best coin beside the bitcoin is not there but the coin that has good prospect and potency is Ethereum

If bitcoin didn’t exist then no altcoins have been created even no ICO s. Even if I didn’t get bitcoin I won’t invest my money for coin as it could be a scam.

I did not buy bitcoin at a price of $ 300 apiece, at that time no one trusted him, I would not have bought it at the ICO stage either. And I do not understand why ICO bitcoin, because the meaning of bitcoin is simply decentralized.

If so, then I would like to buy bitcoin as much as I can. Because, the number of Bitcoin buyers is increasing in a great manner that I might not get chance to buy even if I would be capable of.

I mean if that’s the case, I would approach the issue like I would approach any ICOs. I would look at the team, ideas, products, website, and etc. Actually, I don’t think I would invest in Bitcoin because we still do not know who the real founder of Bitcoin is (I mean we know his/her supposed name but his/her face is not yet public.) Based on my previous experience, investing in ICOs without public team never worked out too great so no, I would not invest.

Buying bitcoin you get not only a digital product, which has a nominal value, and something more. ICO and the price here is not related at all.

This seems to be about right, there are many people that are thinking that bitcoin will be worth one million and they think they will be able to become rich by holding one bitcoin and while that is a possibility if you wanted to be rich with bitcoin you should have bought when it was very cheap, you need to take risks that is why investing in altcoins is a good idea because you can buy them for cheap and make a fortune later.

Absolutely not. Why we should bought a things that we never know what it is for. We cant afford to invest a things that we dont know yet what its purpose. But maybe if theres a reliable news predictions that bitcoin will get popular and it is useful for our future then we have to buy for evolution gonna happened. Really BTC arose essentially at the stage of origination technology blockchain. Because the alts per se did not yet exist. Of course I would have belonged to the ICO.

If I am aware of it, YES. I will definite buy it. The sad thing about bitcoin is that only few countries knows about it when it started. We only heard about bitcoin in our country around 2015 and I didn't pay attention that time. I thought that it was too good to be true and I will always regret that. If I can turn back time I will definitely invest on bitcoin and ETH. If there is a bitcoin ICO I will sell everything I have just to invest on bitcoin.

Will,if bitcoin did not exist and  tommorow there would been an ICO of bitcoin,and i have fiat money to buy simple i join and invest it,coz i want to grab that oppurtunity,that the price value is so low and i hold that in a long period of time and maybe that moment,happen its can change my life now from nothing to have something now in my life,and maybe im one  of the person who become  changes the level of status  due to the help of digital currency.

There is IF which giving too much for many so I will keep eye on this and try to study more then check whats going on because I believe its very hard to believe bitcoin did not exist but still any thing happen but I will try to keep buy and involve in this as its already give me too much or can say more then my expection's I will keep buying

Knowing what we all know now, I think we would have all been buying bitcoin back in 2010. But if it never existed before, we would understand it. Just the same as happened when Bitcoin first came out. Only a small number of people saw the true potential.

If i have excess money that time , yes i would buy it. Im sure there are some informations about it, reviews or blogs that can help us decide. All investments are still a question  mark at first. You dont know whether it would be good or make you poor in the future, yet many people still invest. Its all about the risk and bitcoin doesnt achive what it is now if that wouldnt happen.

No I wouldn't invest, either because
A) If I was confident enough that crypto would become so huge in the early days I'd be minted now and not browsing forums
B) If the question was would we invest in Bitcoin if that wasn't around but all the other coins like Eth were then no of course not, it's founding principles and crypto were amazing but alot of what the other coins have done is just build on top of it. It's like asking Would you buy a steam train if they were invented tomorrow rather than an electric train?

If I would know the entire character of how bitcoin is defined these days, possibly I will be buying. But I don't think if it has no value to our lives, somebody will have the desire of buying bitcoin because all informations only comes from internet communications. If nobody could share you about the advantages and advantages of bitcoin nobody's gonna be interested with it. That's a reality now, many people doesn't know the true potential of bitcoin because there's no advertisement of bitcoin in the public televisions or in the public transparency it isn't revealed to people directly. Only internet lovers seems to be informative about bitcoin.

You need to take calculated risks, if you don't you're never going to make money as an investor, those that invested in bitcoin when no one believe in it made a fortune and if you want to have a similar success you cannot invest in bitcoin now because it is never going to give you the same kind of profits that it gave to early investors you need to take the risk as those early investors of bitcoin did.

If bitcoin is gone I will invest in other coins, because there are still a lot of good coins besides bitcoin like ETH, BCH, DASH, MONERO and others, for me from profit still I will keep trading cryptocurency with other ICO project.

If bitcoin did not exist yet , then I should not put my money to the things which do not exist, where will we put and transacts out account which this program do not exist, it is just like a scam , putting and investing to things which are not true and factual.
