Both sides make sense to me, there are a lot of shitcoins being dumped into the market nowadays, so, either that can continue and we'll see more altcoins.

Or, on the other hand, people might start prioritizing quality over quantity and limit their investments into the coins that are actually good and have some potential.

Yes i think altcoins will continue popping up but those who are serious to stay will be the ones that will last. It is quite sad how most of these altcoins turn out to be scam projects and go away with people's money. These numerous scam altcoins are the reasons why most social media platforms want to ban adverts on cryptocurrencies.

More quality coins, hopefully and less shitcoins. But judging from the coins this year, there are still some shitcoins around and even being developed as we speak. So right now, I'm not too hopeful.

I think we will see more alternative coins in the future.

Cryptocurrency is known now all over the world and many businesses wants to jump into this.

soon we will be more into crypto than FIAT and money company will launch their own tokens.

With growing awareness and more and more stringent adoptions, I feel the icos will not decrease in number, since the scope of good projects is infinite, but this will definitely sift the scammers out or inhibit their number to a great extent.

I think like with ICOs, that a lot of them are scams and people are starting to differentiate between the real ones and the fake ones, people will start prioritizing quality coins over shitcoins. Who knows, we might even see certain regulations to prevent scamcoins being listed.

I believe we may be seeing more and more altcoins in the future. Based on the current trends, ICOs and altcoins have been a really great way to raise capital whether for legitimately projects or scams. The altcoin hype will last much longer simply because there are greedy people who always keeping looking for the next 1000% coin to capitalize on.

The appearance of a large number of coins is a competition. I always support that. New coins very often include a pump. This provides a good opportunity for traders to make money on all new coins without exception. Long-term investments are best kept in the safe coins. I think that this year we will see a lot of forks and the appearance of numerous coins.

In my opinion, the market is now full of different coins that will simply disappear in the future as they will not be able to develop their projects and compete with other companies.

I think their should be some sort of screening and low quality projects should be rehected in the ico phase, we only need quality projects with practical use cases and authentic teams behind them, this will also help in mass adoption of cryptos as people will invest confidently in all coins.

Also, I think other coins will come along with objectively better tech, speed, etc. Causing those coins to die out because of the competitors.

I think there will be more altcoins in the future because people are going to realize and think that by creating new digital coins people wpuld be more draw to cryptocurrencies and maybe most of the shops online would have created digital coins too. Who knows, the world is full of possibilities and I think there are a lot of great possibilities in the crypto world.

As of the moment there's no sign that there will be less altcoins in the future as different ICO's keeps popping almost everyday. I think the real battle would be who will be the one who will gain the trust of those investors as I think there maybe a lot of altcoins and ICO's in the market now, investors will be more wise to invest as they will value quality over quantity first.

Yes, there are a lot of shit coin, then a qualified investors need to avoid these, because most of the time investment in these projects is not a good return, and are more likely to let you lose money, so I don't like to invest too much hype the token.

Right now, very few of these cryptocurrencies have widespread adoption,including altcoins. An altcoin can be defined as any cryptocurrency that is an alternative to Bitcoin. And for that, I think we will seeing a lot more alcoins in the future.

With time there will be more altcoins but as we now most of this coins are shitcoins dont have any features so with time they will die too but yep anyway one year afther there will be more than now.

Yes because regulations of ICO's and not allowing it to promote on social media sites or in google makes the team think about possible loss or cause the project to fail due to lack of exposure to the public and to investors. Even in those early days which has no restrictions a lot of projects still fail how much more in the near future where governments and the community has this awareness to spot a project whether it is a scam or not.

Probably, the investor who have been scammed once, will be more quibble to the project backed by another coin or token. The ICO is good and convenient opportunity for the small businesses to increase a capitalization and make their product or technology better, so I think the number of altcoins will increase extensively.

I think there will be more altcoins but lesser shitcoins. The tokens which will now arrive or work will be the ones which prove their utlity in this world. Who prove that how are they a great coin and can help people in daily needs. Gone are those times when people could just come up with any ICO and expect people to go crazy over it. People now want to invest their money in something good as they know that just making an ICO doesnt guarantees return

I think there ll be more Altcoins given the fact that Bitcoin is becoming to get more credit, like recently the G20 in Europe trying to find a solution to regulate it. Therefore, a bunch of companies are attracted in bitcoin which gives birth to a lot of Ico s. I think Ico s will increase over the time but they ll be more regulated.

The fact is that there are a lot of similar projects that promote their coins on the market. I think that only promising projects will progress and therefore their number will be limited.

For the near future, I guess we will see more altcoins ( or let's say shitcoins ) whose creators do not have a goal but collecting money from investors) . Unlike the long term expectation ( far future ) there won't be such innumerable non-sense coins ( because at that time investors would boycott all of them )

I think the tendency is to see less alts and ICO projects as people are growing more aware and knowedgable in general and it requires a lot of effort and a good project and developers' team to make a successful endeavour.

We need some special service that will take responsibility for sorting out altcoins. Because more and more altcoins are useless.

IMO,quality is better than quantity when it comes to shitcoins because you will never know when will these shitcoins are going to pump the best thing ti do is to hold quality altcoins do not try to get bunch of worthless shitcoins or you will regret the day you bought a lot of it because if bitcoin's value surge up or failed most of these altcoins are goibg to fail.

It would be nice to see a culling sometime in the future. There used to be a time when no premine, no ICO, no clone was standard. Even a 1% premine was scoffed at. Now it is all about dev incentives and dev foundation reserve and founder reward taxes. Still, most of these coins either run out of funding or nothing happens because they were speculative cash grabs in the first place. I think we will see more altcoins with higher quality which may help us establish a system that is similar to the current monitoring of shit-posting on BCT.

I think altcoins will be more and more now. And the market will begin to be replenished with coins. Accordingly, people will begin to invest in these coins.

The total crypto scenario and industry is still immature. Altcoins will start to show up until there are some serious players in the market with established platforms and agenda. So until that time ICOs are not going anywhere.

Indeed quality is better than having quantity,doesnt make sense why people are holding bunch of shitty coins because these coins wont have any good value in the future that is why you need to do a lot of research before investing because you could lose a lot of money when the market has failed because most of these altcoins are going to dump whenever the market fails.

I think there will be less coin because of the regulation of each country where the ico is located but that will increase the quality of the icos in the future because they don't want to mess with regulator and they have to increase their quality to attract smart investor. Investors won't invest blindly because they have seen too much shit ico and will choose more wisely.

Some people suggest nearly 500 to 1000 coins will die in 3 years. I think that yeah, most coins will die, but to be replaced by new even better coins. So I am expecting to see slightly less coin but not huge difference.

As long as their government policy did not forbid their project and still profitable building new token, I think in the future there will be more altcoin.

What do i think? quality still better than holding bunch of shitcoins that doesnt have any good value because the market's volatility wont allow these shitty coins to survive,most of the solid coins can stand on their own so it means holding solid coins is better than holding these shitcoins especially when the market starts to move ,im sure most of these shitcoins will fail too.

In the future there will be less shitcoins i suppose because people are now more vigillant and doing a lot of research compare to the previous years that people are too dumb to get a lot of shitcoins without doing any further research.Well next few years there will be less shitcoins because only those worthy altcoins will survive that great bull run,which if bitcoin's price surged up to $50k or more few of the altcoins will be able to survive.

Probably yes? because if bitcoin's value has skyrocket again most of the altcoins wont have any value i mean these shitcoins or low marketcap coins wont have a value greater than 1 satoshi especially when bitcoin's price is above $50k or more you could lose a lot of money when you are holding too many altcoins so it is better to stick to bitcoin.

Indeed,a lot of people are now more vigillant doing a lot of researches before investing to something that is why these scam projects,and low quality altcoins doesnt have any good support from the community because people are evolving into good investors,not all the people are careless and dumb to invest into something that they arent aware of..

In long run, useless coins will fade away from market and only projects with strong growth will remain. There are too many altcoins and crypto project, it's difficult to choose a good project. You have to find and select a project with good team and good project for good returns. A project with a prototype product and strong team have more chances of success. But many of coins lack these things and will eventually die. However strong projects will give positive returns. So please be careful before investing in any coin and do complete research. Hence most of projects many not succeed and many of the coins may die but if you want good returns in crypto space then start analyzing and doing research. All useless cryptos that don't have the potential to grow will be dead and market will witness strong shift towards more useful projects.

I think the number of projects will increase, because the number of people interested in the crypto industry is not decreasing, but growing. Until this niche itself is drained, we will see an addition in the altcoin family.

The lightning system will not solve the bitcoin problem. I do not believe that this will help to attract more users. But even if it happens the relevance of altcoins does not disappear. Bitcoin can not exist without the support of altcoins. This is a complex ecosystem that has already developed and the next time nothing will change.

I too think the same because people today are more aware about the risk of sticking too much with the altcoins,it could be the reason why their portfolio gets burned when the market has failed all over again,doesnt make sense if you ask me ? why would you risk with these altcoins if bitcoin's value will move wildly? these altcoins are going to fail whenever bitcoin's market moves regardless if its going up or down.

Bitcoin's LN or lightning network is almost ready that is why most of the investors are choosing bitcoin to be the safe haven because if the LN was implemented these altcoins is going to dump hard,and most of these are going to die anytime soon especially those worthless piece of shitcoins out there which doesnt have any good use in our daily lives.

there's always going to be alt coins popping up. The key is really getting education out there about the coins that are just in for a quick buck to scam some newbies. The arise of all the altcoins makes it harder for governments to really back anything crypto, because its so easy to create a new currency without any business or real work.

Hello!I think we will see less altcoins in future,becose ico regulations i think in near future need to happen this is not normal how much now and before is lounching out altcoin icos,so many scams and peoples now dont trust new ico i see it from ico funding peoples now invest less money!

One of the big point is that there are hefty ico regulations getting prepared through out the world and being that in place, we will see a good reductions of ICOs popping out creating new alts out of no where.

I think with time most of the weak altcoins will simply disappear from the market. This year, most countries will make rules for ICO regulation and crypto-currency, so weak projects will be eliminated.

You're right. As long as the ICO is still there we cannot control that the new altcoins is still develop from time to time, because it is one way that it shows that every now and then ICO is still growing.

I think that in the future we will see more and more altcoins, but I hope for the best that these altcoins we'll see will be more innovative, more improve or upgraded in a way. Think, we will see more alts because everyone can create its own centralized coin. There are above 1500 alts on coinmarketcap however not all of them really worth attention, a lot of them are shitcoins.

Few people remember, but after the "dot com bubble", the insanity of selling a website with empty promises abruptly decreased. I think the same market dynamics will apply here.

Of course you we will see a lot of altcoins that will fail in the future,especially when bitcoin's value skyrocket.Most of these altcoins wont have any value specifically those shitcoins that doesnt have any good working product,only few wil lbe able to survive in the future low marketcaps will be worth less than a dollar that is why we need to stick with bitcoin

Good question! A simple answer will not work. The number of new altcoins is likely to decrease in the near future. The people will become more legible and the scams will be less.

Although there is a lot of scams in this forum it's getting easier to notice what coins have potential and what coin doesn't. You have to use your due diligence on your investments.

For me, I think we were seeing more altcoins in the future because nowadays crypto currencies is in. So lot of businessman and business industry will going to create their own altcoins for their respective business.

Over time, they will be immeasurably more than now. Crypto currency is gaining momentum in popularity, and therefore there will be much more! 8)

Considering current amount of ICO it will be a lot of new coins. So I do not see reason that amount of coins will be decreased

As I observe, I can see that we will have more altcoins in the future, lots of them, and of course these altcoins are the trusted and has a high quality among others. More altcoins will be introduced to us using bounty campaigns and if these will be successful, it will be a great help.for the altcoins to be known everywhere.

Most would agree that in the future more coins are gonna start popping up, may they be scam member of pump and dump or legit and will go a long way.

Crypto market or any other market, scams and fraud activities are everywhere and it’s hard to stop them unless people become smart enough to spot them and be careful from them. Scam ICO’s and altcoins surely won’t last long once the governments apply regulations on launching of them. Many scam projects will crash to zero value and die when BTC and other good altcoins start their bull run. Actions are being taken by government as well as by social media platforms to stop launch and promotion of scam projects and to secure the investment of people.

Surely it all depends on the number of other currencies and their overabundance. And to balance the virtual market, will change the number of currencies

Many altcoins in the crypto market will crash hard and head towards zero value when the bitcoin starts its bull run. It is being said by many experts and experienced traders that 95% of altcoins in the crypto market will crash and die in future and very few will survive. Only those altcoins will survive which have advance technology and serve some utility in the real world. New altcoins will keep on emerging, but only those will hold on to market which has real world application, are unique and have advanced technology. So I think there will be pretty less altcoins in future then there are currently.

This is like a natural cycle in nature. Constantly, new altcoyins will appear and weak coins will constantly disappear.

Actually until now there's a lot of developers creating coins or altcoins, because they believe that time come passed and bitcoin will retire to their position. Most of the coin creators are hoping to the declining of bitcoin value, it's because they beliefs that if it is happen more crypto currencies and new coins are starting to raise up. I think altcoins will still be in existence for a very long time. But, I'm sure lots of altcoins in the crypto world will crash. Although, there are still some very good altcoins, which will gain their rise. But, i hope altcoins still stay for a very long time.

I believe that more and more altcoins will be minted but most of them have only one fate – to become a sh*tcoin in the future.  Only few coins would reach their goal and would bring you a good return on your investment. My personal opinion is that we don’t need more coins, we need more quality coins.

The phase Cryptocurrency is in can be compared to 90s interenet bubble. Many companies came online. There was huge fuss. Everyone wanted to cash out on the opportunity. Shares were trading at heights. Whether worth or not, companies were making fortune in the initial phase. Same is happening in Crypto market. Hundreds of ICO are coming everyday and launching their own tokens and platforms. Many are doing good in terms of investment. But most of them are worthless in long term. Even investors are not focusing on utility factor before investment. Most are following the crowd. I expect more altcoins to cmone in future as the fuss hasn't ended yet. There is huge potential market is still there. But just like the bursting of Internet Bubble where people lost millions and only those companies survived which had long term potential. We might see 90% of altcoins disappearing from the market. So yes, more will come and disappear in future.

I think we will see more, because there are a lot of people interested in it already. The providers are always doing what people want. If we will want altcoins in the future, they will be there. My opinion is that we will see more of them.
