I do not think that this will happen in the next twenty years. Fee money will be in circulation for a very long time. A lot of people have not even heard of crypto-currencies

That's so impossible if Crypto currency will change cash money, every government has their own currency and Bitcoin/crypto currency does not qualify to be called money. And Bitcoin need fee to make a payment, I think will be better if use fiat money for daily needed, that's like shopping to the market, buying goods, and etc, that's more effective than use bitcoin.
But Bitcoin have another advantages, I like use Bitcoin for investment and transfer money between country, with escrow service that will be make safer.
Between money and Bitcoin have their own position in our life, which can't be done only by 1 currency, either by Bitcoin Or fiat money.

I dont realy know which and date but i was realt billieve that crypto currency will surely take over the mode of payments around the world in the future. Im not saying that bitcoin or etherium or any other crypto currency since we still dont know yet if there is a most higher crypro currency than bitcoin in the future.

No many people are not expecting that to happen. Physical money will stay.
Digital currency will be more popular over the years specially  in 1st world countries but in poor countries who has even have a problem on how to eat everyday all they can use is paper money. How can poor people access internet if they do not have a device.

I dont think it will happen, since it is impossible to replace paper money issued by the government on every country. Government will never let that happen, every country has independent currency. Bitcoin is uncontrollable since it is decentralize, and it cannot be use to pay for non-digital transactions because it is intangible.

I think it may just happen, but it will take a long time for digital money to replace paper money. That's because the legality is still in trouble, and there are still many people who do not know him. Then the economic level of different communities, will be an additional problem.

We are already pretty close to a cashless financial system. The large majority of people already shifted to a debit and credit card only lifestyle and online payments are mostly done via Payment processors. <PayPal>

Now we introduced a new more sophisticated and innovative technology, called Crypto currencies that takes us even closer to a cashless society.

Many African countries use digital payment technologies on mobile phones, like M-Pesa. Looking at the bigger picture, we are much closer to a cashless financial system, than most people would think.

I think that we already are in the process of eliminating paper money.
Just think about how much cash do you have in your wallet and how much cash do you have on that piece of plastic. The money in your bank account is still digital money and most of them arent back-up by real money. This is one of the causes of the crisis in 2007.
If you think about we do most of our payments with digital money, with POS, Contactless ...

I think that it strongly depends on the country you live in by when the cashless form of payment will take over nearly completely.
In some northern European countries that has nearly happened.
They even accept credit cards in churches or have some kind of ATM there, because nobody has cash in the pocket anymore to give as a donation.

I do not think that it will be the privately founded crypto currency that will be the main payment method.
The majority of the people love their fiat, they will not leave it.

It seems that paper money cannot be replaced or eliminated, even though the digital financial era is forcing or being forced to enter a more modern life.

Maybe 30 or 50 years, because it involves too many countries (state apparatus and citizens) especially all human beings in the world. In addition, feasibility tests need to be done so that no impact can be harmful especially the users.

I don't even think it will happen at all, it would take a tremendous change for all the money and transactions to become bitcoin and cryptocurrency efficient. It would change the whole system and if that would happen I think it would be change positively.

It will be a long time before digital money can take over regular money because digital money are not even stable yet and prices keep fluctuating. We will get there but that time is not now.

actually, I don't know which year for digital currency will take over our daily things and we can buy many things with digital currency because right now, the digital currency still develops and needs to grow more. but the possibility to use digital currency is wide open since we know that every new technology is always launch and now we are in the evolution of digital era. and if we cannot follow the evolution, I am afraid that we cannot survive in the future and we cannot use the easy and simple of the digital era.

It happened in 2009 when Bitcoin came to life. Now programmers are thinking in terms of  blockchain. The old world of lazy IT professionals are over.

As we can see that technology is taking over the world very quickly , it is not that far when we can see all the transactions done digitally. Cryptocurrencies have also come into the limelight and so it is not far that it will be used in our day to day lives.
I think by 2020, it might happen since it is said that 2020 is the year of development . The change might come if big companies start accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment which already is happening by some companies.

I don't believe it will completely take over the paper money anytime soon. But it could easily become main payment method on the internet in a couple of years.

I'm not convinced that Bitcoin being the Digital Money will now take over Cash, and it's very hard to guess. although Bitcoin will be legitimately authorized by some countries to become a Legitimate Payment Instrument, but still Each country has an independent currency that can not be replaced by one currency that is Bitcoin.

All of that would still be greatly influenced by things that could affect it from time to time as well as recognition among many countries. The journey of its development, it will answer everything, whenever it is and how next, we haven't really been sure, because it can still be summed up as a question mark for the whole countries.

This is very hard to guess to know the year digital currency will take over the paper money, because some country accept it as a medium of exchange while other country are still against it. Another reason that make it difficult to know when it will take over paper money is that the system and style use is digital currency is mostly known by educated people, while everybody are not educated. so the development need to put more effort to make it easy for others to know more about crypto.

It will happen in very near future I believe, We have to remember that Revaluation takes time. Ones upon e time we used gold, then we got paper money, now we use debit cards. All these did not happened it short period of time. Right?

Bitcoins will not take over cash in next 100 years in my opinion because:

1) All bitcoin transactions require cash. In my country, you will have no internet access at almost 40% of the places. Even at the remaining 60% places, internet is frequently down. Relying on bitcoin transactions is thus foolish. Cash has no such requirement.

2) While using cash, you do not have to spend extra money. For instance, if something is worth $10, you give the money and take that item. In case of bitcoins, there is additional transaction fee and it is not even instant.

These might sound like little things but are practical.

The most important thing to keep in mind is, to use bitcoins or any cryptocurrency we need internet and many countries are still deprived of it even if not deprived not all citizens have access to the good internet so they would eventually be not able to use crypto and in that case, we require paper money. To be honest paper money is very flexible to use compared to bitcoins. So just keep this in mind we can say that the dream of a cashless economy is still far away than we think it is. First and foremost each and every person on every corner of the world must have access to internet.

It will never happen, even if we are talking about digitized fiat money, there will always exist paper money that does not depend on technology.

I think it takes a very long long period of time to make it possible since a lot of people especially those people that has no access with internet and technologies can have the difficulty to cope up with this changes. To make digital currency take over our everyday things we need to educate people about it.

I think the time will come. now this technology is getting more sophisticated and all things have started to be on the path of digitization. This proves that the development of Technology is already in various sectors. The financial sector is one of the most important sectors, so the development of financial digitization will make it easier to transact and will also help global economic growth.

It can happen but unlikely to be in the next few years. Though we may see a crypto explosion where the use of digital currency will be accepted in mainstream alongside the current system. Too much still needs to happen if people will go full digital and it probably won't be in our lifetime

After all this crap in market we can definitely see bitcoin again in good position , may take time but can lead still to a better transactions and services.

Hi,

I think changes will happen slowly... But, I don't think that one day we will completely get rid of paper money. Just because it is way too useful for daily shopping.

We are still far from the futuristic visions of people buying anything they want through an interactive wall in their house, or a chip in their arm.

It is actually impossible to state how far changes will occur. We can already buy things through our phones, but there are really few people actually using this option! So even though technology potentially allow us to get rid of paper money, we are still using it! ;)

I think this thing will happen, but honestly, I do not think it will be soon. I think we are far from this year. Maybe in 20 years there will be a country that will take the first step, but it will not be the case with everyone. The impact of money owners will not allow this to happen soon.  ???

Because it's increasingly inconvenient to use paper money.

There is no doubt that digital money will soon replace the classical paper money. But you need to understand that now it is difficult to do it. It is necessary that people themselves understand the superiority of the Crypto-currency
