Title: What to do with Ethereum mining
Post by: alex21btcplus on March 26, 2018, 08:11:22 PM
Hi,
I'm stuck with ETH mining and I don't know what to do.
Maybe someone can give me some advice.

I was mining ETH about 3-4 months, with ethermine.org pool
All my mined ETH, pool automatic sent to poloniex when I reach 0.01 ETH
And that was ok. But now poloniex changed deposit policy:

"The minimum amount for deposit is 0.5 ETH. Smaller deposits will be credited once they total this amount."

ethermine.org pool always send 0.01 ETH
I changed settings to 0.05 or 1, in any case pool send 0.01 ETH
And poloniex doesn't accept 0.01
He will hold my 0.01 in infinity space... And after I reach 0.5 ETH I will be credited.
But what if I reach 0.5 for 6 months? Can my first 0.01 stille existing after 6 months?

So, I download windows Ethereum Wallet Mist and get new ETH address, for deposit.
I'm using new address for mining and after 0.01 ETH, ethermine.org send me ethereum.
I'm NEVER seen this ethereum!
In thansaction stats, all is ok.
But Ethereum Wallet Mist can't have a problem with sync and node, so my balance is always 0.00

Other trade markets have min deposit 0.5 ETH so this is not solution.
Maybe some another ethereum pool can solve my problem?

Thanks in advance

Binance has no minimums that I am aware of, so I would advise moving there or some other exchange if you insist on mining to an exchange. These minimum deposits are disgusting in my opinion.

I would suggest you open a ticket with poloniex and see if you can send the remaining balance in a second transaction for it to become "available" to  you.
Perhaps sell some BTC for a day to just move it over and save the ETH you have mined so far, then just buy back the BTC. With the low tx fees we have these days that shouldn't be too expensive.

Otherwise plea your case with them to see if they can help you out. Perhaps look into mining into a MEW address in future as well. You should always hold your own funds wherever possible.

You might use another crypto exchange and, accordingly to change the address on the miner ETH. There are many exchanges with a deposit of less than 0.5ETH.Use them.

Your problem it's not problem, on net there are many many minning pools, why you just sticked on poloniex.

Every pool has it's rules, maybe minimum payment is 0.01ETH, maybe 0.1 and maybe 0.5, that's up to the minning pools.

So now your problem is change the minning pool, find a lower minimum pament pool.

What exchange you recommend?
I didn't find any with min deposit 0.01 ETH..

Why don't you use non-exchange wallet such as MyEtherWallet or MetaMask to receive your mined Ethereium? It is safer and there are no minimum restrictions what so ever. With the current ETH prices being so low, it is better to mine and just hold anyway, so MyEtherWallet is safer to hold your ETH.
