Title: Trust in Government
Post by: tom.hashemi on October 28, 2013, 07:55:39 PM
Don't know whether anyone will be interested, but on the off chance...

I attended a working group session at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris a couple weeks ago on the subject of trust in government. Wrote a little blog post on three statements that were made over the day:

1 - Those who know who to trust are more successful in life
2 - Loneliness is a key driver for a lack of trust
3 - If a distrusted government says A is not true, A is true

Anyway, check it out here: http://www.edelman.com/post/a-day-for-trust/

So, basically your stance is that who is not sheep, is a loner and a loser.

How did you get that?

Well from your statements.
My short response to this is: I don't trust the government and will probably never do so.

Did you read the blog post or just the snapshot that I wrote on here?

I skimmed through your post and trust in government is only as important as people make it out to be, the problem is we've been brought up to believe it is much like with how back in the day everybody was brought up to believe that belief in God is important.
