The MQL5 cloud helps it's client base run tests on expert advisors (trading robots) that trade mostly on FX CFDs, not stocks.

The Strategy Tester included in the terminal is designed with consideration of all modern achievements - it uses all CPU cores and it is available for 32 and 64-bit Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008/7 operating systems. I'm not sure if this means it is only for windows though.
