Title: satoshimines.com CHEAT?
Post by: solareclipse64236 on October 29, 2013, 10:55:37 AM
if you go through the satoshimines.js file

jqxhr.guess comes up alot, that means where the bombs/mines are placed are guessed until the last moment, that means that they are not statically placed

Well, I think its quite logical. If you saved the mine positions on the server it's unfair and if you save it on the client side, someone could just check where the mines are.

THINK PROPERLY PEOPLE

if the game is guessing where the mine is until you press cash out then why is it fair?

You're accusing of them cheating hardcore, so why do you have it spammed in your signature?
YOU think properly.

Can you explain why you think it would be unfair to have the positions saved (or known) in the server ? I suppose the client contributes to a user seed, which is done after the server has generated a seed, or is this not the case ?

The client does not send a seed.

It makes sense that the game state is only known on the server during the game otherwise your client would know which tiles are save which would allow you to automatically win. They can however tinker with selecting fields for mines that you (as a human) are more likely to click as there is no client seed involved.

That is actually a valid remark, the user needs to contribute to the process after the server decided on a secret seed. It is nearly pointless to employ a provably fair method like the one done by satoshimines (just read it up on their site).

I see your signature.  You can't STOP me from seeing it.  The only way is you by removing your posts and getting off the internet.
If you don't want anyone to give a fuck about it, which includes seeing it, why do you have it spammed up there then?
