Yes, at current difficulty level.It's possible that it could go down. if the total hashrate were to decrease, the difficulty would have to decrease as well to maintain the desired rate of bitcoin creation. so yeah, it's possible, but realistically I don't see it happening any time soon. The price at NCIX is back up to 170 (CAD), but they are in stock and that is still probably about the best card for the money if you want to buy right now. These will do 350-400+ Mhps at stock voltage, and they are very efficient (about 150w). Great card. I didn't add electricity into the equation. If we all followed this advice, the early adopters (you know, the ones mining hundreds and sometimes thousands of Bitcoins per DAY) should have just shut their machines down and quit mining since it would have taken them 20+ YEARS to pay off their machines. |
