Its because bitcoin is the main and the king of all crypto currencies. So any movement of the price of the Bitcoin, all altcoins will also down. Bitcoins was the center of the market, if there is no bitcoin probably there will be no altcoins also. So Bitcoin has the main role on market.

altcoin paired to Bitcoin and bitcoin is the highest pair to fiat. so when bitcoin into fiat prices goes down, altcoin holders will panic and sell their altcoin. and move to fiat. so altcoin follow down. altcoin only follows the bitcoin trend. but news for altcoin could also have an effect on rising or falling prices.

A lot of people investing bitcoin today because of its high value and they expect their will be a big return in the coming years. Any investors are so optimistic of what happen in the future, they simply grab opportunity that will bring them a great investment return. If bitcoin price still increasing probably everyone will make investment on it, and so do i.

it short because everything that is not bitcoin is called "alt"coin.

alternative cryptocurrencies have never been known for being useful, they have always acted as a small market with a lot of manipulation (so high risk) where people go to in order to increase their bitcoin wealth. if you ask people "how to earn bitcoin?" or visit the topics asking it, you can see the most common answer is "trade altcoins" and that is the only reason almost all of them exist.

now with their purpose cleared out, you can easily understand why they are getting dumped each time bitcoin rises or falls.

Because Bitcoin is popular in a greater number. Still to some people CyptoCurrency and Bitcoin are synonymous. SO, people judge the Crypto market based on the situation of Bitcoin. Most people who invest in altcoins, also have some of their money on Bitcoin too.

it is simply because everyone wants bitcoin and bitcoin alone. nothing else. nobody cares about having more altcoins in their pocket (with the exception of newbies who lose money) but they all care about having more bitcoin in their wallets.

that means each time bitcoin is making a big move, everyone drops whatever they are doing and rush to bitcoin market. that means altcoins get dumped each time.

Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency. And he of course has an impact on the markets of all cryptocurrencies. If the technology SegWit will become more popular then the bearish trend may end. Because of the speed of transactions and the reduction of commissions. This system will be supported by a new bitcoin wallet. Will the closure of suspicious accounts . Coins that have no intrinsic value will disappear.

I think that many active market participants follow one and the same principle, giving in to global impact. I took the funds that were lying without the need for financing hedged positions and immediately put them back in their cold storage wallets. Despite the potential absence of risks of infection, I felt that it was better to take action, and then look at the further development of the situation.

Here bitcoin becomes the leader of all coins, and after bitcoin the price drops then many coin alcoins are in panic selling through bitcoin and making money flat.

When bitcoin drops, many of the altcoins holders start buying bitcoins by selling their other altcoins coins in exchange for bitcoin. As bitcoin is regarded the best cryptocurrency and has remained number one since the invention of cryptocurrencies holders prefers saving their investment in bitcoins rather than in alternate cryptocurrencies. This rapid dump results in the decrease in the price of the dumped altcoins. This is one of the reasons for the altcoins price drop when bitcoin drops.

Bitcoin plays a big role in the price movement of the cryptocurrency market. We can see that in some recent pumps and dump of the market, when bitcoin pumps also other altcoins pumps. There are many altcoins that is paired up in bitcoin in exchange.

Most coins are linked or dependent to BTC in some way; before you can get these alts, you must first get bitcoins in order to buy altcoins. Also, most altcoin traders are also bitcoin traders, so it could be that once a massive selloff has happened with bitcoin, they know that the same thing would happen to altcoins, thus creating a domino effect whenever bitcoin is down. And, since altcoins are valued using bitcoins, it's natural that altcoins would also devalue since its conversion unit has also devalued.

I think bitcoin and altcoin are linked because if bitcoin price drop altcoins drop also,if bitcoin price increase altcoin increase also. Bitcoin is a leading coin that has a big rule to play in cryptocurrency. Every altcoins need to exchange firts into bitcoin before you can use it as payment methods and before you can exchange it into our local money.

Bitcoin prices affect other coins because crypto are identified as bitcoins. When people see bitcoin prices dropping, they get scared that all crypto will be affected and thus they start selling alt coins as well.

Well i think it's because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and bitcoin price that is really high compared by other altcoins. So when the price of bitcoin drops, other altcoins also drops and when bitcoin price go up, altcoins also go up too. If you look at the market right now, bitcoin price is crashing so hard and altcoins following it too.

Bitcoin is all the basis of the alt coins. Even the slightest change in price will immediately affect other coins. In another sense, if the btc just suddenly drop, the holders of coins just panicked then sell their coins that also contributed to the price drop of coins. Just remember that bitcoin affects all aspect of market.

Well aside from bitcoin being the Top Cryptocurrency out there I think because other Coins exchange is base on bitcoin itself And even if others are base on ETH, or litecoin it may still affect the value of it because ETH and LTC base their exchanges with bitcoin, Just like in fiat currency where dollar is the main source of exchange for other currency we all know that bitcoin is the first and base on bitcoin alone other coins price affected from it.

The reason for this is simple. The number of investors in bitcoin is always greater than all other crypto currency. This is the reason for the bitcoin dominate the crypto currency. The investors of all other coin will surely have their share in bitcoin. If the bitcoin price reduce, surely it will impact on other coin.

Bitcoin is the most important currency in cryptocurrency and all Altcoin is concerned related with Bitcoin. it is clear if the price of Bitcoin down then Altcoin prices follow down as well, Bitcoin is including the center of all Altcoin's market prices.
Bitcoin and Altcoin are the same digital currencies and they is are interconnected.

Bitcoins affect the market because it is the head of the all cryptoes and it shares the highest percentage of the crypto-currency market.

whats the basis or reasons why its going to be bloody when bitcoin drops ? As i observed when bitcoin drops , all coins drops also, and also when bitcoin is bloody , all coins are bloody too.  do  you have some further explanation about this crap.
Bitcoin is the only digital currency that we refer as a true crypto because other cryptos are just alternative coins. Their whole market is due to the presence of the mighty Bitcoin, and if it goes down then they will also go down. Alt coins do have their own value and features but without the main unit (King of the cryptoes,) they are not able to exist by their own self, and thus results in their value going downward rather than upward.

Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency. All other altcoins depends on Bitcoin, so naturally when Bitcoin drops, Other altcoins drop as well.
Bitcoin is like the General and other altcoins are the soldiers.

The king of all the crypto currency is influenced by the bitcoin market. Bitcoin influences the price of another currency on it. Bitcoin prices are discussed more in the market. The more markets will be discussed, the more it will get market expansion.

Yes, bitcoin is the king of the market today, all the value of the altcoin depends on the value of the bitcoin, and the fact that we see clearly if the price of Bitcoin drops, the price of Altcoin also decreases. Think it's because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and bitcoin price that is really high compared to other altcoins.

Of course, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency, the king of all secret currencies, in fact we see clearly that if the price of Bitcoin drops, the price of Altcoin drops. So I guess that bitcoin is really good for our future.

I think it because bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrency and the other coins value are relying into it. As we are known bitcoin has a biggest part in cryto world. It is the starter of all crypto so when it's movement are going down there is a big possibility that some other coins are following to it. Bitcoin is the leading crypto and it is the reason why cryptocurrency and cryptomarket are already known all over the world.

Bitcoin is the first and very popular currency in the crypto world so it is also true that bitcoin holding in the market is more than any other coin of the crypto world and it is not possible that with out bitcoin the market will not run with full fledged swing and it is good that bitcoin is more safe and secure form of currency and for now the bitcoin investment is more profitable.

The reason is simple, most Alt coins are eventually traded for cash or back to Bitcoin. How many merchants do you know that accepts say, "CrapCoin" compared to Bitcoin? The trader needs to convert his or her "CrapCoin" back to BTC or Cash for it to be useful. So when the BTC price move in a specific direction, the Alt coin price is also influenced.

Bitcoin is more useful, because it has the biggest network of users and merchants.

It could be affected of course because market has played a biggest role in the society. So bitcoin is involved that means bitcoin has shared something to the market and not just a market but a bigger and wider range of markets. Whenever bitcoin goes low,the market also has the tendency to go down especially if the market depends on bitcoin as source of financial assistance or a kind of their asset. No wonder market is affected because of bitcoin.

bitcoin decides it all up altcoin. Because the altcoin / bitcoin pairs are a lot. Mostly so. If bitcoin is up then the price of altcoin will increase as well and vice versa. If bitcoin goes down what price of altcoin will go down as well

The thing here is that the whole show started with bitcoin and no one can even dispute that fact, and this gives bitcoin an edge a lot in the market than any other cryptocurrency. Also, we have to understand that they call the other coins, alt, because they are simply just an alternate and that is what they will ever be.

Yes, no one can know what the future holds for any coin, but investors would rely more on the future of bitcoin and only use altcoins as stocks in the long run, which is what I believe will end up happening in this market.

Maybe we should just put it this way, bitcoin is the first, highly used, more established and more traded in the biggest level than any other cryptocurrency and that gives it an upper hand in the market. Also, we need to understand that most altcoins are tagged in price as well with bitcoin and as a result of that, we also get to see most traders considering the altcoins as money making market and that in itself makes the fluctuation in price of bitcoin to affect them greatly.

investors would rely more on the future of bitcoin and only use altcoins as stocks in the long run, which is what I believe will end up happening in this market.
You mean people will sell off their altcoin stash whereas they will keep holding their bitcoins ? Probabaly if bitcoin gets more number of real life applications then we cannot expect people to sell and book profits unlike they usually do with stocks.

As far as I am concerned, every other altcoin was just more like a clone, and as the last time I checked, that is the reason why they call them alternate coins, which makes bitcoin to remain the legacy coin.
The thing here is that the market is controlled by the market makers, and it is their perception in the market that makes the market what it is. This is the reason why altcoins for now will still be in the shadow of bitcoin until later on, when most of them become useful in their own way to stand on their own in the market without them just being speculative in nature only.

bitcoin decides it all up altcoin. Because the altcoin / bitcoin pairs are a lot. Mostly so. If bitcoin is up then the price of altcoin will increase as well and vice versa. If bitcoin goes down what price of altcoin will go down as well
but apparently everything should be different, because if the price of Bitcoin is lowered, then the price of the coin should be higher. But if today's situation shows a drop in Bitcoin, then the entire market is crippled.
