Post by: remotemass on November 01, 2013, 07:03:32 AM
Rule #1
All digits are written and said as digits, being for that matter one character long each.
Rule #2
If the word is a noun, like Paris, Peter, cat, dog or milk, take the first letter of it and make it lowercase.
Rule #3
If the word is a verb or any other word category but NOT a noun, like love, this, that, the, nice or stop, take the first letter of it and make it uppercase.
Rule #4
If the first word is a vanity address it must end in ISM, IST or ING.

It is a compact and universal way of saying your bitcoin address with a tweet.
Just like saying a telephone number, a common place for everyone.
They are easy to say and memorize. By contrast, to say a raw bitcoin address orally, is difficult and will not stick.
TV/Radio advertisements, for instance could use this protocol rules to tell a bitcoin address in a quick and efficient way, that could be really difficult to forget.

Wow, humans do not have tape recorders implanted in their ears. I must have read that aloud 5 times and I still can't remember it all. Sufism 4 epic ghandi... 1 2 kids was in there somewhere... 5 million.

And that's ignoring the fact that the original rules make no sense. Make words uppercase? Lowercase? There are no words in bitcoin addresses unless it's a vanity address. How did everything wind up uppercase? Oi.

No, your idea is just impractical.

There is this nice invention called QR-code.
Voice-only stuff is going to be niche in the future anyway (or is already).
