The crypto currency recorded a decline during the first quarter of 2018. This condition contrasts with the year 2017 when the digital currency recorded a fantastic rally.

Despite the sharp decline this year, investors who have had bitcoin since early 2016 have enjoyed a nearly 650% increase.

Everything is a good news to the  bitcoin enthusiasts. Even a dip is a good news since it is a new opportunity to purchase low value bitcoin. Anyway The lightning networks if it could help the transaction much faster without paying for a high transaction fee then it is a good news. And if it does , possibly many bitcoin users will go back to use bitcoin again.

I also think it's good news for a bitcoin enthusiast, both rising and falling.
The good news is that the drop meant that it could be bought again at a cheaper price.

I Realy dont do daily tradings so i hope bitcoin price will hit 1000 So i can buy some coins for future to store up, right now i mostly buy dircetly altcoins

news is not what changes the price, it is only one of the many reasons why prices changes up or down. for example all these negative news that you keep hearing about in the media these days have been around forever but nobody paid any attention to them and most of  them may not have reached the major news sites during the price rises. but whenever the price starts dropping everywhere is filled with them.

the good news in OP, Lightning Network, has also been around for a while but for the same reasons it is not talked about all over the news only because it is a positive one and now is not the time for positive news because people are more interested in FUD and the drop for the time being!

A correction in the price of Bitcoin to normal levels is not necessary bad news. Irrational exuberance is always bad. As long as awareness about Bitcoin and Bitcoin adoption increases, the price of Bitcoin will eventually rise.

i think that was a all good news because bitcoin is deserve that kind of news and also it was be  so good for bitcoin  in his dip it was a good opportunity to all of buyers!

This new lightning network will save bitcoin as it is already well established across the globe but is hampered by the slow transactions and high fees. Once that is overcome there will be no further need for litecoin or bitcoincash as bitcoin itself will have all the things that the other two are marketing as advantages.

Good point Sir, everything news related about Bitcoin just see it as enthusiasts market, sooner or later many people will realize that Bitcoin can't be stopped. When price was going low such these day, it is was a discount time, just take a positive think from any happen, because i still believes it has chance to replace current currency in future.

I'm quite surprised that the market hasn't recovered yet. Many people are optimistic about Lightning Network which to be honest is really fast and reliable. Is it because of Bitcoin Cash trolls and supporters who are trying to convince people that Bitcoin is not the "real Bitcoin"? They must have quite a lot of money because they managed to pump Bitcoin Cash a few times. I think that it is a matter of time before market recovers. People definitely panic to much which lead to more FUD being spread

Good news, I do not see good news, I see a steady decline in prices, not by the limits of the bitcoin but for all currencies, this is not good news, but this is very bad news.

that is what I was trying to say above. there ARE a lot of good news like always but the difference is that you don't hear them just because the media doesn't want you to hear them right now. they only spread things that are according to the trend and the trend is downtrend so they only spread the negativity.
last year they were only posting about how bitcoin is going to reach $50k, $100k, $1 mil,.... and the speculation of different people saying so. this year they are posting about how bitcoin is a bubble and it will drop to $2000, $1000, .... die,... :D

Good news and bad news greatly affect the bitcoin fluctuations. In the past there have been bad news that Google forbids cryptocurrency that causes a decrease in bitcoin prices. Hopefully with this good news bitcoin will recover.

In fact, it's just FUDs. We should not believe too much in the news. We should learn about that information before making any investment decisions.

That's what I keep saying to those experts posting up expert opinions from other experts. The news will always be there, both bad and good. But they rarely have the effect people think they do. At any one time, during a bull and during a bear, you'll see more or less the same range of news out there. The analysts just go shopping when they make their post analyses. OK, today was a bad day, let's see what bad news we can attribute to it. And vice versa.

Of course, some specific events can lead to quite predictable outcomes, but these aren't always consistent enough anyway or they lose their significance, or they equalise after a period.

lol, even if bitcoin goes to zero it's going to be some good news as it gives new opportunity for a new generation of coin to come out.

Anyway the problem with cryptocurrency investments is that most of the people are searching for fast profits, and that's the main reason of the recent decrease of bitcoin's price.
People that are very short-term traders, sees that the price of bitcoin doesn't change frequently and they just sell it off.
So short-term holders are basically ignoring the whole interest the bitcoin brought them because they only do very short-term trades.

I remain bullish on the future of the entire cryptocurrency market.
All the bad news and FUD are just to get us out of our hands, HOLD.

I don’t really see any good news atm, unfortunately we’re in a bear market. I just hope it doesn’t last too long & that we find some kind of support soon because it’s been rocketing downwards at an unstoppable rate the last couple of months.

Look man, people will only see what they always want to see. It really depends on the person who is putting all these information in his mind. This is just like the saying that states: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Which is pretty fair if you ask me. Just try and put it this way, if a person hates bitcoins, they would not care of the lightning networks. But if the person loves bitcoins, then they would see these red days as sales on the mall. Asking about the future of Bitcoin is a common question now days. Jack Dorsey is the CEO of Twitter and Square. Especially those people who bought BTC when it was expensive last year and experienced a hard drop in BTC's price next. It wasn't a positive experience for them on short/medium term and there is a good chance these people have sold their coins fearing to lose even more money by holding for more time, boosting the dump in BTC's price that we are still seeing.

It's indeed a bad move, but I understand these people, as many of them are new in Crypto-Currency world, don't have experience and are just trying to avoid more depreciation over their money. Unfortunatelly these people spread bad news, by sharing their negative experience with Bitcoin.

That is not exactly a bad news unless and until someone who invested in bitcoin when its price was skyrocketing, is planning to sell them now at this time due to any sort of reason. Dipping of the value of bitcoin allows and encourages more people to join the bitcoin community by investing in it.

it seems that the decline this time not only because of the significant news, it could be this because there are big investors who want to drop the bitcoin to their advantage, this is sure to happen. I analyze bitcoin slippage in the middle of this year could be moving at the lowest price I target in the $ 3000 price range before rising at the highest price by the end of the year or early 2019.

I'm not worried about bitcoin going down all the time, and many people say that bitcoin is about to die. I think that's a silly statement, looking back at the history of bitcoin, which we've been developing over the last few years with many of these adjustments. I didn't panic because the price of bitcoin was falling, and I chose to keep buying it because I thought the price of bitcoin had reached the bottom and it would soon start to recover.

The good news is that although the news does not fully affect the price in the market, the market is now green but the price is still red after a very sharp decline in the past, I hope this condition lasts for several months to improve my protofolio. because now my protofolio has been reduced very much because the coins that I make longterm always decline.

I think that the most anticipated thing about bitcoin is the LN, ever since last year where the bitcoin transactions took a long time to get confirmed, and miner fees were at high numbers which made micro transaction with bitcoin impossible, everyone has given up on the idea that bitcoin could be used as a global payment method until this LN idea came which supposably will help the bitcoin with these issues, and when it launched i am pretty sure that the price will go up again.

Mt Gox pull down the bitcoin price completely in the market as his 600 billion dollar worth of bitcoins mate. There are few regulations from the various countries on bitcoin and ICO projects. These both made the bitcoin value from from the 11k USD to back 6.7k that minimum value we see recently.

Good and bad news make the newbie enthusiastic and panic sell. If they come here to buy more number of bitcoin that will be good information to find the big profit as price goes up but panic sell always collapse the price fall.

It is just the mafia of traders want profit that want to trap all the bitcoin from the people, they are just spreading the fear amount of the people that bitcoin will not grow and they will get lose but it is not good to listen them just do what you think is good, for me the best thing we can do to get profit is holing, if you will not take notice of all there fake news and let the price of bitcoin be high you will not get any lose but only profit.

All news -- good or bad -- is relative. Meaning, it is up to the receiver how he will view it. As for me, I do not think what you have earlier posted on is bad because it is an opportune time for investors and prospective investors to come in and invest more since the price is quite cheaper than it used to. I view things this way because I think there is always a blessing in disguise in every rough situations. There is always learning along the way. And, we cannot expect the good to always come to us because if it be the case, there is no more time for people to learn their most valuable lessons.

This is definitely good news. For me price declines aren't really bad news since they are the perfect time and opportunity to buy yourself some whole cryptocurrency especialky for bitcoin with a huge price. On tge itger hand the support of Lightning Labs would be a great step towards bitcoin's success ib the market since now slow transaction processes is alleviated.

That's the first thing that anyone that wants to get involved in the crypto space should be aware of. This is one thing I always tell me friends. I inform them of the market risks and strategies that have kept me afloat in the space. There's one thing peoin the community usually say ~ Buy the rumours, sell the news. Somehow, I agree with it.

Falling the price of bitcoin is not bad news I think. Because price of anything may fall but it is not for the decades. Bitcoin has allowed people to make huge profit from last few years. And I fully agreed with Jack Dorsey that it would be the common currency in future.

it is only one of the many reasons why prices changes up or down. So i would say you can clam down for a while. things are getting better little by little.
