Title: What affects the price of btc most?
Post by: ahrispool on April 03, 2018, 07:08:10 AM
There are a lot of factors influencing the price of bitcoin, including technical issues/new alts coming out/regulations/stubborn miners/conflicts between developers(or groups)...etc.

What do you think is the most crucial cause? Why did the price drop dramatically these days? Will this be a rebound point?

I think the factor that most significantly affects the bitcoin price down is due to the high sales and also the fake news made by a journalist about crypto.

but, I predict the bitcoin will rise and high again, because spreading and volume of bitcoin is still stable.

Supply and demand. They have to balance each other out and if the amount of supply is more  than the amount of demand then prices go down.

Nowadays the most influenced factor is regulation. If countries will ban crypto currency, the market will go down. Now, when attitude of the world towards crypto currency is indeterminate, this's the most important thing. We can see how China restrict miners and how it's influenced on crypto currency market.

if in my opinion bitcoin prices will improve. it is not possible the bitcoin price will continue to fall until the bitcon price becomes zero. usually that often happens every price is down there must be up. as it has happened in last month and last year

I think the most crucial factor would be those FUD news. Because it creates panics to the holders which will later on make a domino effect, thus creating a sudden dip for the price.

bitcoin is one of the world's juiciest prizes for hackers. there must be thousands or tens of thousands who've tried to break it, let alone governments and banks, and they all went away with their heads bowed.

this forum would not still exist if bitcoin had been cracked. if it is we'll sure as hell know about it.

Essentially the speculative news and personal individual speculation is what affects the pricing to the largest extent.
People rely on some random news and speculative analysis to wheather to buy or not. This creates an unwanted bias towards buy or sell task. For some speculations, people tend to buy more and more, and thus reduce the supply virtually and altermatively increase the price, while due to some speculations people tend to sell more and virtually create huge abundance of btc which further decreases allot of the price.

people have a bitcoin price impact because of the absence of too many investors today so it will also affect the price of bitcoin so the price is low.

For me, I think the rhe factor that most affect the price of bitcoin is  that FUD's or the news about cryptocurrency. Investors especially those who are new in cyrpto world that when they heard about the news of bitcoin and when the peice starts tp drop down, they are in panic and continue selling their bitcoin inwhich it affects the price of bitcoin. It also keeps dropping down.

I think the most affect the bitcoin price is the number of investors, if investors a bit then the volume of bitcoin in the market will increase and prices will fall, otherwise if the number of investors increases the volume of bitcoin in the market will be less and the price will continue to increase

I think there is a big relationship between the rise and fall of Bitcoin and people's demand. If the demand is higher, the price will rise. If the demand is low, the price will fall.

The main reason, I think, is the policy factor.
Because more and more countries recognize the status of bitcoin, the value of bitcoin has also been recognized to some extent. ;D

A research in 2017 revealed 4 major factors that drive the price of Btc. Media hype and uptake by peers, political uncertainty and risk, moves by government and regulations, and governance of Bitcoin but I think media hypes has the highest influence. It is believed that most investors make decisions based on the behaviour of other participants in the market and their own intuitions, rather than hard analysis of the market. This means that as the media speculates bad news about Btc, it is likely to influence their decision and once investing in Btc goes down, the value is likely to also go down and vice versa

The global bearish trend started with the launch of Bitcoin futures contracts. Institutional investors got the opportunity to play short. For them, Bitcoin is a fizzy so they crushed it. They are interested to buy it now for 1000-2000 $

Supply and demand is the answer. Banning cryptocurrencies in some countries, allowing it in some, the number of investors on bitcoin, and the number of individuals who use bitcoin are the one who affects the number of demands on bitcoin. So basically we control the price of bitcoin. We have a power as a whole.

Factors that affect the bitcoin are the investors.
I think some investors did not trust the crypto and decided to withdraw their capital. That has made the crypto market in crisis. Bitcoin has gone down at the lowest price of $ 6k5. In addition, I think the stock market has a lot of impact on bitcoins. Top technology companies like Amazon, Alibaba have lost more than $ 100 billion.

Definitely this is because of the black propaganda against bitcoins and any other cryptocurriencies. Investors who are weak got scared off and withdraw their investments also this could be cause with the banning of cryptocurrencies in some countries in the world. The bitcoin market has been shaken up quite well but the good news is it is fighting back and has shown improvements in price in the past days👍

I wouldn't agree with that. It's not the first time that such propaganda is in action and so far it could be concluded that Bitcoin has become resilient to such influences.
I beleive that the basic principle is still supply and demand and how much are users willing to pay at certain moment. All other factors are just side ones and don't influence the price as much as we think they do.

The reason why the bitcoin price are changing it's  a supply and demand, we knows that the value of bitcoin are very volatile and it is hard to know if it's continuing to increase because sometimes it will dropping her price. And yes the negative news will may affect the bitcoin price but it will recovery.

several factors that affect a bitcoin value, my opinion
1. supply and demand
2. Good and Bad News
3. Bitcoin Investment Fraud

Why did the price drop dramatically these days?
Possibly the scammers who sell their frauds in the market.

Will this be a rebound point?
I do not know, but I hope that in April bitcoin will go up.

Controlled social media, banning of cryptocurriencies in the social media platforms has taken a big toll on the fall. It has make weak hearted investors to stray away fr their investments also the banning of several countries of bitcoin also has a big effect on the market. From the previous 2months the effects could really be felt. But good thing that even with all this bitcoin is recovering and manages to stay afloats🙏

I think the most important factor affecting the price of bitcoin is media report.Whe there is a negative report or speculation by the media, prices usually drop even within 24 hours, people are much easily swayed by what the media says than with any technical analysis or new projects competing with btc.To a large extent, the last dips were caused by fb,twitter and google.Even if government issues a statement about btc,if there is no negative report by media, prices wont crash that much

What influences the price of bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market is the communication, the advertising on the web, the press sites talk about bitcoin as well as other co-altcoins. In addition, the supply and demand of investors in the cryptocurrency market also affect the price of bitcoin. Therefore, if you are a smart  you can take the best opportunity.

Defenitely media cause more damages than any other factor with cryotocurrency prices because media is everywhere if there is little negative thing about bitcoin will go viral in short period of time and do enough damages before knowing the real reason behind it,mostly there are rumors more than the real news.

The answer is "We". We are the one responsible for the different aspects of bitcoin which also includes the changes in bitcoin prices. Many times it happens that we push bitcoin too hard and off limits and then the alternation in the prices happens. For example, consider the cases when bitcoin naturally dropping in its value then people get panic about it and they get so nervous that they cant even hold their breath for a minute and think about the whole situation and immediately start selling everything they have got. This makes the market situation even worst and thus bitcoin loses itself. In same manner prices increases too. I mean when they are done selling everything they have got then they will start thinking that Oh! Its good time to buy the coins and thus in the long they put more money and become responsible for the price rise.

Volatility is caused by huge supply and demand, fueled by emotions and fear of losing. Also since the futures entered the game market is highly manipulated. I am expecting another huge bull run once ETFs enter the game.

Hi
In my opinion most crucial cause that Regulations and media coverage. IF we consider past examples the announcement that bitcoin would be considered legal tender in Japan the Bitcoin up by 2% in just 24 hours and increased the price around 2 months. But China’s Decision to shut down several Bitcoin exchanges and ban ICO sent the price of Bitcoin down effectively. Many countries already legalized BTC that effect for future expansion of BTC. Banding cryptocurrency ads in Social media networks also somewhat affect to price. But people panic about fake news is also most effective on Bitcoin price. When considering these things I believe Regulations and media coverage are the most crucial case for BTC price.
Thanks

From my own finding I think negative speculation aka FUD is whats causing the price to drop drastically

but after this Easter holiday I have seen the price recover after this period but let us not get ahead of ourselves and expect a $10k rebound so fast because if that happens it will drop fast too, we need an organic price movement.

Analysis of the price of Bitcoin shows that positive media coverage is one of the main factors driving the price.
Political risk around national currencies can also affect the price of Bitcoin as people use it to hedge against price movements in a particular currency, or they need to quickly move large amounts of value out a country or currency.
Although Bitcoin is a decentralised currency, some decisions about how it will work or evolve need to be made from time to time. These also have an impact on the price.

Currently, I think what affects the bitcoin price the most is the bitcoin, itself, being banned in multiple countries since the value of the bitcoin and the number of bitcointalk users is directly proportional to each other. When bitcoin users increase the bitcoin value also increases. So, if a country bans bitcoin the number of people who uses it within that country will be deducted to the number of bitcoin users and the bitcoin value will now decrease its value. I will also like to add the strict regulations that are being implied right now slightly reduces the users because many bitcoin accounts are being banned for disregarding the rules. I suggest that they further add campaigns to spread the new rules and regulations of bitcoin and the government of each country.

In my own point of view, the reason why the price of bitcoin dumps dramatically these days is because of banning of bitcoin in other countries that the number of bitcoin users are starting to decrease that will affect to its price. I think the reason why pther countries banned bitcoin is because they are afraid that bitcoin will replace everything.

in my opinion, that greatly affects the price of bitcoin today is the level of trust people have with digital currencies. because so far a lot of negative news about digital currency and all countries have not allowed the use of digital currency so everyone is afraid if using bitcoin or altcoin will not be used to transact.

I think the biggest factor that affects the price is that the lack of awareness about the market. I have seen newbies/impatient investors selling/buying under the pressure of fear of missing out without acquiring any information about the market. Most of the time, it doesn't work in the way that they expect. Their actions helps panic selling wave to spread and it affects the entire market.

a lot of things that affect the price, one of which is bad news and market behavior. let's see, when there is bad news about Bitcoin, many investors are flocking to sell their coins that cause a drop in prices. another if we calmly face bad news and do not sell our coins. definitely the price will remain stable.

I am not sure but I think the biggest thing that influences the market value of Bitcoin is the demand. It is believed to be proportional such that what happens with the demand will be reflected to the market value of Bitcoin. Given that at this moment, the market price is continuously falling, chances are high that same thing happens with the demand. Surely, dumps are temporary. The market will soon recover so holding is advisable.

Yes its true the reason that affects the price of bitcoin from decreasing is because of banning it in other countrues that the government is afraid that bitcoin or cryptocurrencies will replace the original currency, banks, and etc. The number of bitcoin users has a reflects to bitcoins price because if bitcoin users increase, bitcoins value would increase too and when bitcoin users decrease, bitcoins value would decrease too.

We have been growing consistently throughout the last years, but people focus too much on peaks, and these peaks have proven to be unreliable, especially in the very short term as everyone can see now.

I draw a line from bottom to bottom to look at the actual growth development, and that's far better and more accurate than the hype peaks. While people here are panicking the bottoms are still unharmed.

Current bottom shows that the support above $6000 is solid enough to maintain the market for the time being, and it looks like we're slowly on the way up again. Im still a bit conservative, but a higher range is a good start.

no 3. goverment policy to regulate crypto currency.

I think right now the whole credit credit card issue of purchasing bitcoin has been hurting it a lot, seems like it made a little rise today though. I actually wanted to buy more as it hit below 7k again, it's a good thing for investors and believers.

There are a lot of factors influencing the price of bitcoin, including technical issues/new alts coming out/regulations/stubborn miners/conflicts between developers(or groups)...etc.

What do you think is the most crucial cause? Why did the price drop dramatically these days? Will this be a rebound point?
With increased usage and wider adoption of Bitcoin, the demand for bitcoins is always increasing. Mainstream media is now too much involve in bitcoin and crypto and mostly spread negative news about bitcoin which influence on new investors and current as well.

Bitcoin price is mostly affected by people selling outvtheir coins. Its not really because of fud or fake news that bixtcoin is down. Its bwcause of the reaction of bitcoin investors. Panic selling is one of these factors. People wantto earn more with bitcoin but they sell everytime the price is down. Instead of helping boost bitcoins value, its helping it pull down its price.

It nice to see that people still thinking BTC dropped due to FUD news or government regulations. The market is manipulated by whales and only they decide where will we go next. News or other factors it's only control levers.

I think the most influential factor to the value of bitcoin is the government. The ban on bitcoins in some countries has a direct impact on its value

I think Bitcoin price is determined by supply and demand. Supply is well defined and well controlled. New coins only enter the system through mining. Mining generates new coins as an incentive for proof of work. This process generates new coins at a fixed rate. The number of bitcoins in circulation at any time is calculable.

The media can also influence the bitcoin price significantly. Media hype can easily lead to an increase in the price, while negative news can lead to a decline in the price. For example, news about bankruptcy or hacks on bitcoin related websites and services can cause panic and disruption among bitcoin users, leading to price dips. Negative news about government involvement and regulations as well as news on the use of bitcoins in illegal dealings such as drug transactions and money laundering tends to have the same impact on the bitcoin price.

Because it was originally created to act as an alternative digital payment method, Bitcoin does not have the same kind of investment qualities as other assets. Unlike currencies, there is no governmental backing no matter how slight that may appear at times.

In my opinion, the negative news and the panic of the holders have the greatest influence. When the holders are panicked by various news in the media and start to sell massively, it has the greatest impact.  ???

From the point of view I see. Bitcoin and the crypto market share the same nature, that is, the supply is dispersed and not fixed. That means, the popularity and needs of users, along with the scarce exploit supply. The bitcoin value will increase to match this natural process. That explains why, we should plan to hold the bitcoin as long as possible. Profits will increase over time.

bitcoin price is depending on the market requirements. now the requirement of bitcoin is less due to some issues will declared by the government. the people was started to sell the bitcoin. for this reasons stocks will raise and bitcoin price will reduced.

There are some many reasons for the price falling of btc. Demand and supply, unusual trade is mostly mentionable. Some news also affects the price in the industry. And traders should look over the correct news.

There are a lot of factors actually. But to my knowledge, market always run obeying the law of Demand and Supply. If demand goes up compared to supply, price goes up. If demand goes down, price goes down. It’s the basic that affects the market as a whole.

I think that with the release of some unrealistically cool news related to bitcoin, its price will immediately go to the top. And later at a certain moment, even more people will believe in a coin and will invest their money in it.

There are so many factors that actually affect the price of bitcoin, but what I think affects it the most, is negative news, which could spring forth as a result of the regulatory problem faced by the digital currency.

I think the most effect of the price of bitcoin are all those weak handed investors and wannabe traders. Those people are not interested of the price of bitcoin or the blockchain technology behind, they even dont understand it, they just looking for profit. So they are playing the whole day on the exchanges to make some money with the smallest trades. There very sensitive about fake FUD news, and as soon as they comes and tv station with some fud they selling everything. Those people effect at most the price of bitcoin.

if only the above issues I'm sure will not make the Bitcoin price go down like this, I pay more attention to its sales,
I think the investors are saturated with the market conditions like this,  ::)
so they make sales in the hope of re-buy Bitcoin in the price under.

Demand (demand) and Supply (supply) on the market.
Total Number of Bitcoins and Holders.
News

There are only 2 things that affect the price of bitcoin: pump and dump from the whales and FUD. The whales are small in numbers but they have the largest amount of bitcoins. When they decide to pump or dump, the effect on the price is instantly dramatic. All other effects on bitcoin is the result of FUD. The negative news keeps investors away, week hands begin to sell off and the price drops, causing more panic sells. As holders we have to anticipate on pump and dumps and stay immune to FUD.

Actually the regulations didn't affect the price, the rumors and fake news are the main factors which is affecting crypto currencies. We can see that lots of new spreads about regualtions and ban of bitcoin are just fake.So news affecting the price more than the actual thing.

Stability of the bitcoin network is a major factor that most bitcoin enthusiasts are concerned about. Most people want a secure network where they will not lose their money. Unlike the conventional currencies like euros and dollars, bitcoins are largely perceived as economic bubbles as they are only valuable when exchanged with other currencies, but do not have any inherent value on their own. If most people and business organizations stopped accepting bitcoins, the “bubble” would burst, leading to a fall in the bitcoin price.

Anytime there are restrictions on the use of bitcoins, their price changes drastically. However, because of the anonymous nature of the bitcoin transactions, most governments are proposing certain rules to eliminate this anonymity. For instance, there have been proposals to create a third party supervision mechanism for bitcoin exchanges. This is bound to significantly affect the bitcoin price.

The media can also influence the bitcoin price significantly. Media hype can easily lead to an increase in the price, while negative news can lead to a decline in the price. For instance, news about bankruptcy or hacks on bitcoin-related websites and services can cause panic and disruption among bitcoin users, leading to price dips. in my opinion, that greatly affects the price of bitcoin today is the level of trust people have with digital currencies. because so far a lot of negative news about digital currency and all countries have not allowed the use of digital currency so everyone is afraid if using bitcoin or altcoin will not be used to transact.
Positive and negative effect both. In my opinion these both have a tremendous impact on bitcoins prices. They are just going up and down and move such drastically that no one can even think of their next move. But when people start losing confidence in bitcoins just by hearing bad news, they sell at once that will be affecting definitely. But when at same time, people buy bitcoins, so positive effect is there too.

This would have to be the balance between supply and demand. If supply surpasses the demand then market prices go down and fall really low which is what we are experiencing right now with the market. With the Mt Gox sale putting so much coins into the market there wasn't enough demand to balance it out. Then cam the people who started panic selling and dumping even more coins into the market.

What you told was little confused. I didn’t get your point about credit card buying but what I know is bitcoins are suffering from bad times. There are so many reasons behind this downfall but what is authentic is people are continuously selling in panic situation. Although condition is really miserable, but still all these holders must show some patience and don’t just selling up continuously.

for the moment that I know that affects bitcoin prices is bad news about bitcoin and many sites prohibit bitcoin advertisements as well as many countries forbid bitcoin to flourish in the country, thus causing panic for holders and investors around the world.
but I am still optimistic if bitcoin prices will rise again because in every market there must be down and up.

The major reason of its highs ang lows is the population of investors who are gaining ang losing their interest in investing. If the bitcoin is in demand, it goes high if it is not then it drops very low. That's what happens and I think it's the most disturbing problem of bitcoin.

It's understood that the reason why bitcoin has to continue dropping and bounces a little because of the drastic increase in supply due to a massive selloff of weak people and manipulators, supposedly the demand should also be higher to meet the basic rule but instead there are some companies usually accepting cyrpto as a mode of payment had been controlling their transactions to prevent loss and to overcome this kind of situation, a large acceptance or mass adoption are needed to attract more payment center accepting crypto and encourage the people to use it not just holding to balance the circulation of crypto in the market.
