Title: Help multibit export private keys lost bitcoins :-(
Post by: Daniel Smith on November 05, 2013, 07:49:38 PM
Hello all,

I have recently bought some bitcoin using multibit as my wallet. I noticed that one transaction had not verified even though it had been a day since I had been sent the bitcoin.

So i googled the issue and was saw that one had to reset the transaction date and let the wallet run the transactions through the network for verification.

I backed up using the export keys, got the message keys match wallet comntents. Placed the key file in 2 seperate places.

when i come to import the keys it only shows the very first transaction I did (.1 btc) I am missing the other 2!?

I noticed whenever I back up the keys and go to import them again it only shows 1 key as being in the backup file?

please help me, are my coins lost forever? I can learn to live with that but i would like to think I had done my very best to get them back!

Many thanks

Daniel

Just a smidge of extra information...

I am unsure as to weather the export keys backs up a key per transaction or not?

When I choose to import keys it only shows 1 key even though I have several transactions in my wallet, am I correct in thinking this issue may be with me resetting the transaction date and not the deleting of keys?

I am reluctant to try and change the date again incase I lose what little transactions of bitcoin that are left. The wallet I am using is the same wallet that the original now missing transactions were sent to.

SOS :-(
