Title: Best faucet sites?
Post by: rc-cola on November 06, 2013, 05:05:34 AM
Currently I'm just using bunny run and freebitco.in
I know these probably aren't the greatest faucet sites.
What faucet sites do you guys use?

Not going to get any real money from faucets, but might as well send you to one of the best... http://www.landofbitcoin.com/

The best one should be coinad and bitvisitor. But still their payout is really low.... if 1 BTC became $1,000,000 then it might be a lot :)

I like http://dailybitcoins.org/index.php

Mainly because I like banking up the advertising credits... :)

They're all a horrible waste of time, so if you want coins, sell stuff on bitmit or work for them.

currently its best tip but without money you cannot do any thing so first have some money from good faucets and join this for more and big

Second this.  At best you can get 2mb from faucets in a day, but not really worth the time.  LandofBitcoin's faucet rotater is best one I've seen yet.

Actually whats pretty fun is to gamble with the free 1000 satoshis on primedice every minute.

I'd suggest you to try some of them for a week, this could be enough to find the valuable ones.
Avoid the ones based on inputs.io, I found they were not really reliable in general.

In "pay to click on ads", bitvisitor and coinad are good.

I love clean made websites like this. Even if it's a waste of time, it sure looks sleek and professional. Props to designer/webmaster.

Mainly advertising, sometimes a gambling section on the website.

I tried all the faucets on landofbitcoin for about 2-3 hours. Got my first bitcoins, in form of two transactions, but it totals just .00015805
Not worth it, i guess. Btw what's the thing with those bitcoin generators floating around, anyone here generated some ?

Yes, not worth it. You can now send .00005805 with .0001 fee  :(

Go through http://coinreaper.com (http://coinreaper.com) every day, and you should get a few mbtc's in a week. Also check the gambling section as some sites tend to give away free BTC's.

It's true that faucets don't pay a lot but if you're sat at a computer and bored, then why not accumulate some dust. If you keep it then one day in the future it might well be worth something.

that's usually not the case. They mostly give out 0.00001BTC or 0.000001BTC

No-one bothers to readjust that tiny amount, whatever price may be.

I stand corrected, the faucet I've linked to earlier (freebitcoin (ref) (http://freebitco.in/?r=4909)) just lowered it's payouts by 30%.

And there are no more "true" faucets, it's actually captcha solving for BTC

Title: Re: Best faucet sites?
Post by: Robin on November 08, 2013, 07:52:56 PM
True. The "original" faucet just paid 0.05BTC once per IP address. No captcha, no ads.

Title: Re: Best faucet sites?
Post by: h0lybyte on November 08, 2013, 08:10:57 PM
I just lowered my faucet payouts by a large amount. The fact that bitcoins went up to $330, means that faucet owners need to lower payouts (to keep the faucet's pool on par with advertisement revenue).

It is to prevent bots from drying down the faucets. IP check is not enought

At bitcoinInformation.info (http://bitcoininformation.info/faucet.php) you just have to solve a little puzzle. After that you can choose to either save up the BTC until you have 100uBTC for a payout (this is against dust payments) or send it instantly to your PeerBet account (where you can gamble with it).

Happy earning / gambling.

when ill try open the site theres warning 404 not found?? why  ???

I hope you liked it. I certainly enjoyed running one. The puzzle faucet was amazing if you ask me. I would love to reboot it someday, but I just don't have the funds to do so and ads didn't get me enough to sustain my faucet. Oh well, such is life.

This is the problem with faucets. They are not profitable for their operators to run. This results in them shutting down.

Faucets are also not going to be profitable for users to participate in, unless they are using them for a very short period of time for the sole purpose of learning about bitcoin

That's the bitcointalk list. Yes it's a complete list with faucets but they are not checked daily. Several of them gives annoying popups or have insufficient funds already but aren't transferred to discontinued section. And many of them gives a low or even very low payout.
You cannot name it the "best faucet list". that's mine (http://www.kwaasteniet.eu/faucet/) of course.  ;)

If you do a faucet right then you can make money. freebitco.in probably makes quite a lot of cash. According to one tool, (I'm not sure if it is accurate though) freebitco.in makes ~$1,500 a day.

i repeat,
faucet is a waste of time.. but the attraction to get free money is strong

 ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

i do a simple computation:

i see the first on my faucet list have an average payout = 972sat every 15min.

this mean you need to play something like 102880 times... to get 1BTC

multiply it for 15min and you get 1543200min

this mean 1071days or if you prefer 2,93years...

oh.. and this playng 24H 7/7days

Selling a service like programming or designing (or any skills you have).
Joining a sig campaign won't give you much if you are a newbie, but the pay rate is still higher than using faucets.

Faucets are great to get your first satoshis and test the wallets out. Other than that yes its a bit of a waste. You are better off in McDonalds and using that fiat to invest in BTC.

I put together this list of Bitcoin faucets (there are also buttons on top for altcoin faucets), you can search and sort by min/max payouts and timing; if you search MMH it won't show the listings that have popups. http://makingmoneyhoney.com/bitcoinfaucets.php#btc

There's also a Bitcoin Faucet Rotator without popups: http://makingmoneyhoney.com/rotator/BitcoinRotator.html

Hopefully these will help you out. :)

Ask yourself two things first:
1. How many hours have you spent to get that 0.01 btc (~$2) from faucets?
2. How much $ can you get if you spend the time on a low-paying job in your region?

In most of the case, you should be able to get a lot more by working and buying bitcoin with your salaries.

Your faucet working with only xapo which is not good if you allow multi payment methods then hope you have some better traffic

30-60 bits = 3000 - 6000 satoshi?
Wow I think this is the most generous faucet so far, they have no ads on their faucet too. Hope this one last long.

The problem with it, is you need an xapo wallet, which I'm personally against.

It's not a faucet but I'm tipping new users to my site at the moment, here's the link:

https://www.backed.io

There is even still some unclaimed Bitcoin at this post:

https://www.backed.io/posts/post/1

Not sure why no one has claimed it yet. I suppose you need to know how to import a private key, but there are plenty of tutorials for that around. It's only 0.05 BTC, but that's still probably better than what you'll get via most faucets.

Update: Looks like the Bitcoin at that address has finally been claimed! I'm still tipping new users that sign up and comment or post on Backed though.

Personally, I don't find any faucet site worth the effort  :-\

I prefer doing some small tasks to earn free bitcoins, coinworker is one of my favourites
