Hey all,

We decided to build a bitcoin faucet to enable newcomers to get started for free! We hope that this helps attract sports bettors that are new to bitcoin, and helps our affiliates earn more coin.

Users can currently release 0.001 BTC/day which they can use to place up to 5 bets. Our minimum withdraw is still 0.01 BTC, but if your faucet runs hot you will keep what you win!

That's right. We give you 0.001 BTC which you can use to place up to 5 bets at 0.0002 BTC. If you win the coins up to a large amount you can withdraw and they are yours!

Um, for some reason I get the message that the minimum wager is 0.005 and not the 0.0002 you keep on saying. Could you look into it?

Hey light, our normal min bet is 0.005 btc, but for new users trying the faucet we allow 5 bets to be placed at 0.0002 btc. If you are an existing user with some balance, then you will still have our normal min bet. If you are a new user and you are still seeing this, please send us a PM and we can help work it out.

I'm not familiar with betting, so far I only played a "who's winning" bet.
I read the wikipedia page for the Over/Under bets, what I don't understand is :
- why are there .5 scores ? In Rugby, Soccer, etc. there is no half points... What's the difference between Over +2, Over +2.5 and Over +3? Same question with the points differences...

Thanks for this. Lower faucet definitely will help make sure people will get something to play on your site!  I think some of the bad upsets in the nfl yesterday cause for many faucets to be depleted...lol

We've looked into it and replied. We'll post the response here too, since it could be of interest to other users.

The faucet was designed as a tool to allow people to try out BitBook for free, but once you win your way up to our normal minimum bet (0.005 BTC), you are treated like a regular user and this minimum is applied.

It seems that i'm the first who playing with the faucet arrived over 0.005... looks fine :)

But, if i loose all... can i restart with the faucet or not?
It's important to know so i play with more attention :)

how come tor users cant get teh faucet? i dont like showing my ip.

People were using tor to create many fake accounts and drain the faucet so we had to take this step. Our goal is to allow new users to try betting sports with bitcoin for free. Taking this step helps us keep the faucet funded for more of these users.

Same here its been 4 days since it worked for me...

I was able to get the faucet 2 days ago, unfortunately have been all dried up the last couple of days!

The faucet is a great idea however maybe try to fix the captcha its annoying. MOst of the time I can only see 3/4 of the letter so makes it sort of hard to guess certian captchas takes me a few tries to get the captcha right.

Our goal with the faucet is to allow new people to try bitcoin sports betting and BitBook for free. We want to attract new people to the space, and so our goal is to keep the faucet open as much as possible. Given this, we have a limit on the number of times that a user can drink from the faucet if they don't deposit and place normal sized bets. We want to let many new people try BitBook and bitcoin for free, so we cannot let users drink from the faucet continuously if they never deposit.

Yes I saw there was no update from weeks and faucet being empty. it was a nice option for bets when you don't have a balance with a slight chance of reaching withdrawal threshold.
