We are planning on implementing a widget that would be available for an Android home screen, but this would be an on-demand feature you have to enable manually. @gellimac we have to make our money somewhere. We have toyed with the idea of offering in-app upgrades to remove advertisements as well as explored the thought of other feature adds.
