Biycoin is developed for peer-to-peer transactions, to bypass the third party, which is mostly the banks. That's why bitcoin is a threat to state issued tender. As bitcoin is decentralized, authorities have no control and they are afraid it's used for criminal activities like money laundering (they say). Banks are afraid that bank accounts would run empty, that everyone would invest in Bitcoin. And in order to get rid of bitcoin, banks and authorities are collaborating to create their own centralized cryptocurrency, which is not what we're waiting for.

Yes, of course, government does. At least until they arent able to control everything in crypto... It's a question of the time cos they have started to own it.

I wouldn't call that fear, they have nothing to feae about. But what all governments want is to have everything under control, especialy over something that can influence the economy. The problem with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is lack of control mechanisms. With possibilities to control Bitcoin governments would also have the possibilities to use it for their own purposes.

Government is a monopoly and anything that will work to break the monopoly is seen to be an enemy even coup. And bitcoin is made to break the financial hold on the masses both in creating wealth and third party involvement in financial transaction.

Exactly! You’re right it’s actually greater than banks and the financial services provided by the governments. They don’t want to lose.

If bitcoin ever becomes the worldwide accepted cryptocurrency as a mode of payment, It will diminish the middleman system resulting in loss of many rich people who just get richer by stealing peoples money through banks and these are the same people who support the government, or more appropriately control it. So, there will always be fear, Fear of loss. It is human nature that he will do anything to prevent his loss and due to that cryptocurrencies have so many restrictions in most of the countries whereas the countries which actually do care on the betterment of peoples standard of living have accepted bitcoin! There are indeed a lot of disadvantages of decentralisation but the advantages weigh more!

bitcoin is prohibited not for access but as a means of transaction because in my country the government still forbids her because bitcoin has not become currency for that country

Perfectly said, none of the Government do not want the people to live independently that is what they are doing by the regulation. None of the people accepting the illuminati theory but as time goes with the big regulation and fake news spreading.
I feel that they were existing and they do not want the money to be in the hand of all the people.
If we fuck them and bitcoin as a legal money we all people from world will be happy.

Yes exactly, government is acting like church, the things that they don't understand they try to destroy it or just ban it like happened recently in India. The Indian government is full of illiterate politicians and they do whatever profits them or work for someone who bribes them so the corruption rate is quiet high in India and now those politicians are afraid of open ledger and decentralized nature of crypto that they can't control so they have banned it to be on a safe side, while the rest of the world is accepting cryptocurrencies Indian government is walking away from them.

Govt fear bitcoin because it is decentralized digital currency, and no one can control it. That means govt will lose their control on people and money, and they do not want it. But its 21st century and people want control on their own currency without interfering any institutions or bank. We will see that day soon, hopefully.

Governments do not fear bitcoin itself. They are perhaps afraid of bitcoins capabilities such as taking over the banking system. I think that is why they have started associating criminal activities to it so as to bring it down.

Yes your opinion is quite reasonable, and I have my own opinion. The government forbids bitcoin because the government only knows if crypto can only be obtained by investing, and then many of its people use crypto, and then the government is worried if the investment is a scam, so the government bans crypto for use. If crypto persists, then one day I'm sure, the government will support cryptocurrency and blockchain slowly.

The fear of bitcoin can be summed up as this: Ignorance and fear-mongering.
One day, Bitcoin will be responsible for changing the way governments try to run an economy, and may even change the way our economies function by fundamentally changing the behavior of savings. Governments all over the world get scared whenever they are faced with a phenomenon that is beyond their control.

My opinion may be very different from all of you, Bitcoin is hated or feared by the government because its value is easily controlled/manipulated by third parties like the Mafia, for example: "Businessmen, Politicians who have a lot of money, and Whales that have bitcoin more than 40% ", this is exactly what they are worried about because the crypto market does not move naturally.

We can also add here money laundering and tax evasion. These factors can not add to the love of the government to BTC.
In addition - some countries are going to create their own crypto and they are not interested in any competitors.

Yes, but some governments not all of them. It’s more like people’s assets rather than being government’s and some governments are afraid of the outcome like what may happen if something being valued and becoming the economy what they can’t control, and there’s another who are actually greedy they can’t see others prosperity.

Why is the state afraid of crypto currency?
What is the reason for such a cool attitude on the part of the state? The absence of central regulatory bodies is the main reason why governments are afraid of crypto currency. What is behind this fear? Let's try to list its main components.
Money is an instrument of control and political influence
Governments control the traditional fiat currency. They use central banks to produce money from the air, using so-called monetary policy. They also dictate the rules of the banks, allowing them to monitor the movement of currencies, and to some extent determine who gets profit from this movement. When the private currency appears in the arena, the state loses all these levers of influence.
Since central banks can increase or limit the amount of money circulating in the economy, in order to stimulate investment, create jobs or prevent inflation and recession, currency control raises a fair concern among specialists.

I do not understand why they forbid bitcoin when all countries support the freedom of all people and it is also regulated in human rights that one has the right to freedom to choose but why many countries do not give freedom to everyone in the economy. Whether the freedom of a person in choosing a decision has been taken away by the fearsome parties?

Many country’s governments are corrupted they live on corruption, they don’t want to see the prosperity of the people they just think about themselves ,as they can’t corrupt the decentralised economy maybe that’s why they purposely ban bitcoin.

Bitcoin is offered and they go against it. Where is the the freedom there? The truth is they are in control and they dont want that to be eliminated by something created in the internet.

I don't think government has much against it except the fact that cryptocurrencies makes it easy for people to send a country's money abroad without their permission. Since government cannot regulate this market hence they feel the pressure of not being in power. Why would any government want the users to have all the power. They obviously want to be in control and dictate people's lives.
Only a handful of countries recognize the true potential of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and have already made amendments in their laws. Japan is one such country which is extremely friendly to bitcoin community. Apart from that no other government is willing to make it a legal tender. I hope that government stops fearing bitcoin in the future and accepts it as a legal tender by understanding its true potential.

I think fear is not the word here. It's just that governments are cautious with viewing on things because they want to safeguard their people from anything that can cause them losses or that can put them in a position where they can be scammed or victimized by shady characters. Unfortunately, this market, if you're not careful, you can be subjected to its normal features like the volatility of its assets, which could really make you regret investing in it. Other times, people can take advantage of you. Those are the things that a government wants to protect their people of that is why they are not embracing the cryptocurrency market like other markets.

I don't think so. It's silly to fight with drugdealers just banning Bitcoin. Everyone understands it. Actually I believe that they are just afraid to lose their control over financial sector as it is slowly becoming more and more decentralized. That is why a lot of banks now support and use Ripple, and these are not private banks, but also those that belong to a government, such as The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, for example.

Government and banking agencies has been battling with anti money laundering and financial terrorism , the best weapon used by government and banks is Know your customer ,popularly called KYC for short to identify and scrutinize transactions. However bitcoins and block chain enables users of money transfer to bypass this kYc, hence government is very worried of these issues and afraid of bitcoins.

A ban is never a good thing, but people have the power to protest against it, but they rarely do. The government that bans something is always afraid of it. If your government doesn't want you to have guns it means they are afraid of an uprising. If they are not allowing you to freely exchange local currency, they are afraid of people getting rid of it, moving their assets abroad. There's always an explanation and nothing is being done without a reason.

Governments are nervous about the anonymity and the tax evasion that could come out of cryptocurrencies. I don't blame them, as these are perfectly fine reasons to not want to add crypto into their environments. However, I think the governements shouldn't run away from the problem, but that they can simply find a better way to deal with the issues. Anonymity is something that will survive as long as bitcoin does. However, in terms of taxes, there could be a more efficient method of getting earning data from holders. Sure, not everyone wants to pay taxes, but they have to be done.

I personally don't think that any government fears Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just an experiment, while the real brainchild is the blockchain. It is the blockchain that shakes up the old foundations of fintech. The blockchain really disrupts the way information is accessed and stored.  Instead of a private ledger that could be doctored to misrepresent it's true value, blockchain is a publicly available transparent ledger, not controlled by a centralized authority.

From year to year, our government always gives a negative signal to bitcoin, and this is very difficult for bitcoin to grow in our country.
The government certainly has a careful calculation when carrying out the assignment given the current ban is not limited to volatility alone, but the fact has grown, the presence of whales behind the volatility is a government's biggest concern.

Supposedly this Japanese way can be imitated by other countries. That way most likely our country will not be able to limit the development of bitcoin until the future.

May be. Or they could just bothering that it will disturb the financial system of the nation and thus will halt the developments due to insufficient taxes paid and brought into the nations development. Bitcoin's decentralisation makes it harder to track each and every movement of the BTC-invetment and thus it could slowly destroy the economic balance and thus cause problems. I mean I would have been government and I was told to take the decision on this regard then this would have been my way to think about it. Its kind of decision making for the sake of nation but not the fear at all.

The higher the popularity of bitcoin, the more concerned governments and owners of large banks. This is due to the fact that bitcoin and the blockchain system do not have a controlling party. And the blockchain excludes any taxes or interest rates. The whole essence of the government is to control all financial relations in their country, but with cryptocurrency they will not succeed. That's what they're afraid of.

Bitcoin is the pinnacle of modern financial technology. When Bitcoin is developed and used, the current banking system does not meet the realities. Banks that do not want to lose the role of holding and regulating currencies must be encrypted and have legal policies in place to manage Bitcoin. Do not let Bitcoin grow freely. At that time the role of the government was to manage Bitcoin. Nowadays, many government officials are undertaking a research project to manage Bitcoin, not to develop freely, without letting illegal cases take advantage of Bitcoin to operate ... Before governments can manage By Bitcoin, they will try to limit it. That is understandable.

Government fears Bitcoin because of that they could loss some control of fiat money and many people will use bitcoin or other crypto currency and will forget about paper money.
I think at the moment modern technology is being developed by the nations. For Bitcoin it is an unconfirmed government encryption system for managing and regulating Bitcoin. It has many advantages if it is developed freely, people will choose Bitcoin. While Bitcoin The government will not have any taxes from this market, it will affect all areas: economy, politics, culture, education, foreign affairs ...
While the Bitcoin market is in the process of capturing and managing, the government will limit its development.

yes, the government is not afraid of bitcoin, but the government is once again thinking about how to legalize bitcoin, and to this day many people can be helped with bitcoin, bitcoin can help people to improve the economically disadvantaged people to be a little bit better, and with the presence bitcoin they can help, and I hope the local government will make the right decision for it.

I don't think they fear it, it's just that they aren't crazy about it. Governments could have banned crypto a long time ago if they wanted to. If btc reaches $1M in the future it's because the governments allowed it. They can pass the law ruining the crypto industry whenever they want, but I don't see it happening. They want to regulate it and tax it.

It is hard for a government to block bitcoin.

As long as there is a country in the world that does not prohibit BTC, BTC will exist!

The value of bitcoins and blockchains is also recognized worldwide!

The government stepped up regulation to avoid money laundering, illegal trading and fraud.

I think the biggest reason the government is concerned about Bitcoin is its inability to control Bitcoin. More precisely, there is no effective policy for Bitcoin. Once Bitcoin drops, all users who hold Bitcoin will decline their assets. Investors were robbed of wealth by whales, which is also a pain point of globalization.

Part of bitcoin in the world economy is very small. I doubt the government fears losing control of that small amount of money. They are concerned that they may lose control over people. if you use bitcoin, you are trusting your money to a complex system you don’t understand, people you know nothing about, and an environment where you have no legal recourse. In the traditional world of investing, this would raise enough red flags to make it a bad idea. But I think the governments are smart also to think that if they would ban Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they will be blamed for the chaos it will imply and so I think in time they will also join the bandwagon and would soon create their own cryptocurrency or technology that would be opposite to these cryptocurrencies they just have not figured out yet on what they have to put up or create.

As we all know that governments are greedy for the control, they want to control almost everything in our life. On the other hand, Bitcoin is something that relies on the power of decentralization that takes away control from the centralized authorities and transfers it to the users. In that case, governments can do nothing in case of crypto to crypto transactions but they can restrict the fiat to crypto trade through the banking system.

I think it has something to do with "everything under their control" and they can get something out of it because Bitcoin is a large source of income at the expense of nothing on their part. We have to pay taxes and they will surely agree on whatever is happening about Bitcoin as long as they get what they want.

Bitcoin is a decentralized transaction which means the system works without central authorities or a middle person. Government uses central banks to trace any currency movements, taxes and even illegal activities. Without being able to do so, government fears that illegal activities will easily get through and can’t be able to track them.

For Banks, the advantages of cryptocurrency are huge. First, the cryptocurrency allows people to trade directly with each other, just a small fee. When you transfer money through a bank, the service fee increases as the amount of the transaction grows, and when the amount of your transaction is large, you usually have a high fee. In addition, because of the mechanism of distributed bookkeeping, the cryptocurrency is not tampered with by anyone, and in the security guarantee, the encrypted currency will only be better than the bank.

Bitcoin and the crypto market in general has reached a point where it wont be easy for the governments to ban them straight up. As there is billions of dollars of institutional and public money on the line and I don't think governments will take the risk of causing such mass losses to its people.

may prohibit directly will greatly affect the people who have made the bitcoin of new livelihoods as well as the money that grows in it, but indeed the government must also maintain and ensure that it will be safe for the people. the situation is difficult to prohibit it but rather it only prohibits limited.
As of bitcoin can not be controlled by any government because its more like independent, so i think government can not make sure whether bitcoin is safe for their citizents or not. Bitcoin built with high risk and high return so not any government can make sure that.

Simply because they don’t know anything about Blockchain, cryptocurrencies and ICOs. The issues of regulation and how to control its operation. There are other factors as well like how to impose taxes on it. Fear comes from lack of understanding and anything that looks odd and suspicious is forbidden to the government.

I do not think the government is afraid of bitcoin, maybe there is a government concern about bitcoin freedom. The government is afraid if bitcoin is rampant, while no one is controlezing bitcoin growth. If everyone has an automated bitcoin of all rich people, this will have a negative or criminal impact. The rate of economic growth can not be controlled, so that fellow people do not need each other. So instead the government is afraid of bitcoin, but the government is afraid of the negative impact that bitcoin will cause.

I am also convinced that the majority of the governments that remain adversarial to the idea behind Bitcoin and the whole of cryptocurrency are afraid that their strong power and influence will wind down because of the very strong sense of freedom that cryptocurrency is espousing. So do not just overlook on the goverment because in reality they don't really that care about us. They just care not to be blame for not doing something in regards to cryptocurrency if it will fail. These kind of topics never ends. Bitcoin will never be feared by governments. I believe in bitcoin's innovation but no one can do anything if governments decided not to support it. Fiat money was used way beyond history can specifically tell and it's still used until today.

Bitcoin offers an alternative method for online transaction, so whether we like it or not there's still the conventional way to do transactions.

The uplift of a decentralized world of digital or cryptocurrency won't necessarily have the governments coming down. There are more aspects to Government than just financial affairs. Decentralization only gives the power to own control of ones financial affairs and this power is what the banks and government fear to lose.

Government/banks hold control to our financial cash flow ever since. Then bitcoin was created, spread and is now becoming more popular. Why doesn't Government want it? It is because bitcoin promotes equal distribution of wealth-creating-opportunity, while Government and banks hold control to it. On the other hand, there are good points on their view as well as to why they are not yet ready for bitcoin and crypto-currency. It is because of it being decentralized. Criminalities, human trafficking, and other forms of crimes involving a huge amount of money are going to be freely-operated with the use of decentralized blockchain technology and there's no way we will be able to know WHO's behind it..

Bitcoin is hated or feared by the government because its value is easily controlled / manipulated by third parties such as the Mafia, for example: entrepreneurs. Bitcoin will be responsible for changing the way governments try to run the economy, and can even change the way our economy functions by altering basic savings behavior. you are absolutely right, because I think a system that can not be controlled by an agency would threaten the institution itself, especially the financial field would have an impact on the state financial institutions that benefit from its economic monopoly, blockchain (cryptocurrency) free us from the old system that can only utilized by some people ,,, it's time to reach financial freedom

Yes, of course, government does. At least until they arent able to control everything in crypto... It's a question of the time cos they have started to own it.
slowly the government will begin to control the use of bitcoin and crypto and begin to legalize it. because the government knows if they can control its use it could be one big advantage financially. and can improve revenue for the country. and legalisasipun will benefit many parties

These are very important issues when comparing the benefits of bitcoin and the balance of the economy. I hope there will be an optimal solution in the future to connect bitcoin and crypto in ecosystems from national governments.

In my own opinion, government fears bitcoin because of it unstable price and tax evasion problem. But I guess governments shall accept it because of its accessibility and easy usage and thats what people wants right now.

The government’s ban will cause the Bitcoin trading platform to close.
However, due to the unique nature of Bitcoin, it provides an excellent channel for officials from various countries to take bribes, launder money, and transfer assets overseas. In particular, under the general trend of official disclosure of property by national officials, Bitcoin provided a very good way of anonymously holding large assets.
From this perspective, there may be officials who actively promote the legalization of bitcoin.
Or incorporated into regulation

Bitcoin itself has no value, just like banknotes are nothing more than a piece of paper and have no value. Just as the government grants the value of the legal currency, people trust the legal currency because they trust the government. The original value of Bitcoin comes from the trust of a bunch of science and technology houses that believe that Bitcoin's code-supported system can protect us. Wealth prevents governments from abusing their power to manipulate currency.
Nowadays, Bitcoin moves from the niche circle to the public, and more and more people recognize Bitcoin. The price of Bitcoin is also getting higher and higher, and the market value has reached the point where the government cannot ignore it. The bitcoin crisis has also come.

Bitcoin claims that “It is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen.” That lack of central authority is the primary reason governments are afraid of the cryptocurrency. To understand this fear, it is important to know a little bit about governments and conventional currencies. Fiat is a term used to describe the conventional currencies that are issued by governments. Fiat  currencies have value because governments say that they do. To an increasing number of people, that promise means nothing. After all, fiat currencies are not backed by any tangible assets. You can’t return the currency to the government in exchange for a bar of gold or silver, a can of beans, a pack of cigarettes, or any other items that might have value to you.
Another reason why government fear of Bitcoin because of issue of privacy and anonymity.

Governments control bank system while bitcoin is decentralized in which theres no person or individual who control the system, as we compare to bank the prices always stable in just a lower rate but bitcoin we can't predict on its prices because of fluctuations and has a potential to range higher value so I think governments afraid because of potential that bitcoin has to surpass or overtake in near future.

Title: Re: Government fears Bitcoin

Well yes, I think so. It is because in Bitcoin, they do not have full power no matter how hard they try to exert their authority. They have always wanted to have power over its people but for some reason beyond they have ever imagined, that sense of control was taken over by technology. Hence, what they just settled to do is to tax the people who earn through it. But the thing is, the latter situation pains them more since they cannot totally ascertain who among its people are profiting in Bitcoin. They do not have any mechanism to know for themselves who are engaging in any businesses with Bitcoin. Thusly, we all can suppose the government thinks they are losing in terms of Bitcoin's power.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that governments don't like Bitcoin. It is because they won't be able to freeze money of their citizens, create new money to spend it on something that is (not) needed. Bitcoin gives us freedom of how we use our money and it looks like it won't die because it's decentralised. It is too late for governments to stop Bitcoin from spreading. They started to fight with it too late. Some governments are trying to take advantage of Bitcoin popularity and they apply small taxes for it so investors are very likely to invest in that countries.

Yes that is the only reason, what else!  Actually the decentralised nature of the bitcoin is what makes the governments think pretty much in this regard. The problem of acquiring control over such a vast system of crypto currency is not an easy task for the governments. So they better stay away from it, declaring it to be illegal or imposing the so called BAN on the crypto currencies. Also banks have an issue with the acceptance of the crypto assets. Their role in the financial system will tend to decline when the crypto assets will emerge into the scene.

Governments control fiat currencies. They use central banks to issue or destroy money out of thin air, using what is known as monetary policy to exert economic influence. They also dictate how fiat currencies can be transferred, enabling them to track currency movement, dictate who profits from that movement, collect taxes on it, and trace criminal activity. All of this control is lost when non-government bodies create their own currencies.

Control over currency has many downstream impacts, perhaps most notably to a nation’s fiscal policy, business environment, and efforts to control crime. While each of these topics is broad and deep enough to fill volumes, a brief overview is enough to provide insight into the general concept.

One of the dreaded things is taxes, as we know that taxes are the main source of finance to finance a country. In addition, the rapidly changing price fluctuations have indeed made the government afraid of Bitcoin. They fear that there will be chaos if there is a drastic increase and decrease in Bitcoin prices. That's normal because many governments are still not ready and they are still trying to discuss the regulations that govern Bitcoin.

Why the current crypto currency market is worse than the Rothschild owned central banking system!
Why the need for bitcoin black?
The founding members of bitcoin own 95%+ of the entire crypto sphere! Founding members are disguised as Satoshi.
The new money system is doomed! The main need in the crypto space is a fair distibution with education to truly empower users, not to continue on the old path of money centralisation painted in a different picture based on tech.

From the start they owned the majority of  bitcoins and manipulated the price to accumulate more of a share in each project.
From this point any other project accepted bitcoin in ICO's and as accumulation through manipulation accumulated their holdings they invested a stake in the other altcoins.
Founding members get involved in a large stage and over time through manipulation accumulate more and more of a market share of the major projects.
Still at a small total market cap 400 Billion the manipulation continues with one goal to own more of a share of each crypto.
December 2017 masses were lured into crypto for the first time strategist to make them lose faith in the space and lose money. Many other rounds of luring will take place and accumulation of a greater % stake will take place into new upcoming projects.

It is the transitioning of the old money to the new money, owning more of a share in the new money than before. Making it seem fair, accidental and a betterment to humanity. When in fact its more slavery and concentration of wealth to the elite.

I think Bitcoin ban is not possible to do till there is internet connection all over the world and also this is peer to peer transactions which depends on the buyer and the seller and it involves no third party like banks and because of this reason government and  other organizations are against it because the taxes won't be paid by trader if there are regulations on bitcoin and other altcoins and in order to control the taxes and charges they are generating their own crypto coin with rules & regulations.

Imagine that's how bitcoin will gonna be change or life...  It is a butterfly effect...  Because of a very simple thing almost all will be change..

Maybe the government is afraid of Bitcoin because it is a decentralized digital currency, and no one can control it. That means the government will lose control of people and money, and they do not want it. Borcoin has become a cryptocurrency accepted worldwide as a means of payment, it will reduce the intermediary system resulting in the loss of the rich by stealing money through bank people.

I think it's true, the government is afraid of something that can not be regulated. Many countries try to fight bitcoin from this. But this is very stupid, progress can not be stopped. It is necessary to develop together with technology

I think the problem with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is the lack of control mechanism. With the possibility to control the Bitcoin government will also have the possibility to use it for their own purposes.
I will not mention that fear, they have nothing to think about. But what all governments want is to control everything, especially to something that can affect the economy.

Yes, government fears Bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized which completes the transactions without the involvement of third party. This endangers the existence of commercial banks and central banks. With the end of central banks the government will lose control over the financial sector of the country. This can also lead to tax evasions and using Bitcoin for illegal purposes.

Crypto Currency is like a Sun powering up the people all around the globe who wants to change the world who are passionate enough to bring changes.

“It’s the top notch opportunity for reaching to the financial freedom”
That’s the reason some governments don’t approve Bitcoin because they already know the Strength of new decentralised digital currency market,if it goes up then the government will have to come down.

It’s just my opinion about Bitcoin ban

Well the government does believe that if laymen go towards crypto and other investments fiat will be heavily affected in the long term. The economy develops through the circulation of money whereas btc is not exactly trading with fiat as a base. As long as blockchin is improved and supported by banks worldwide the govt will have no option but to allow crypto to run smoothly.

On the one hand, worrying about the success of Bitcoin will affect the government's control over monetary policy, so it is hoped that it can control or limit its development. On the other hand, as long as the Internet exists, Bitcoin can hardly be banned if Bitcoin is the last in the world. With success, the current controls will put a huge price on their nationals.

because in my own opinion bitcoin might replace fiat paper currency in the future because most of the people nowadays use bitcoin  for their own convenience . like me i use bitcoin for paying bills and other expenses  i can also go online shopping using bitcoin . and next probably the economy nowadays are dropping because people who use fiat currency are reducing which affects the economy of the country that is why some country banned bitcoin .

Yes indeed some government fears at bitcoin, each and every countries has their own reasons why they have a fear of bitcoin. But base on what I had read in different kinds of articles the most popular thing why government have fear in bitcoin is that this can be used in illegal trades or transactions which no government wants to have in their jurisdictions. This is also the leading cause or reason of some countries on putting in ban bitcoin in their land. For me this must not be blamed with bitcoin because they are just doing their job to serve people. What must be apprehended here is those people who are using or doing illegal trade or transactions.

Government fears bitcoin because this new technology is very hard to control. Officials like to take care of everything they can but they can`t for now control e-currencies the way they do with money and gold, silver etc. They try to point out that virtual currencies are used for crimes like drug dealing, human trafficking, child abuses, money laundering but if so then they forgot the fact that criminals still use ral money for commiting this and other crimes!

I think the government is actually scared bitcoin. Because, like all other countries, my country is not developed and people are unaware. In our country, this bitcoin works in the ordinary people are benifited very financially. And I do it, but the country's government says it is an illegal transaction and a means to steal money. In this way, the government is afraid of bitcoin and it is a threat to us who are doing this bitcoin.

I agree with this . Government fears with the regulation of bitcoin. They cant collect taxes on it and theyre also afraid that people will not use banks anymore. As we all know that bitcoin is a peer to peer transactions that didnt need third parties like banks in able to transfer funds or assets. If this happens, they will think bitcoin is an enemy to the progress of any country. Atleast they didnt have the control in bitcoin and didnt have to do with it .

Governments and government banks against bitcoin. The reason for this is competition.
With Crypto money, we can transfer money whenever we want. It's cheap and fast. Money transfers from banks are more expensive. That's why it meets the crypto market.

Cryptocurrency has not been banned by most governments because they see the potential of the technology behind it. They want people to develop it further and are closely monitoring all activities very carefully. When the technology has been refined enough and all it's practical uses have been thoroughly explored, then they will step in with massive regulations to take over and use it to control the masses. That is my opinion and from history, I don't think am far off

The government is currently very concerned about bitcoin, as the need to find a new way to hedge its wealth is mounting, as governments are increasingly fiercely opposed to traditional banks, by law. Anti-money laundering, forcing the bank to provide sufficient customer information, the use of electronic money to hide foreign assets are rapidly evolving, Encryption makes it very difficult to find traces.

Government does indeed fear the growth of the bitcoin but not all of them are not in favor to it. Bitcoin is a digital money. It attracts people to use, buy, and own it. Bitcoin have a huge potential to success and when that happen many people will start to invest and have transaction in here. After that, bitcoin will be uncontrolable and that is what the government feared. Government is afraid of bitcoin because they won't have a control to it and also maybe they won't gain something.

actually you have an point of view as decentralized currency government didn't know how to control and regulate bitcoin because is using new technology so government need to ban for a meanwhile because officials want to make sure how help to the community bitcoin accept in their country,

For me I don't think fear is the right term for some governments reaction to Bitcoin and all the changes it brings to everyone. I think it is more on threaten because it has a big negative impact on their businesses plus the fact that they cannot control it they way they are doing it on the current system so what they do it that they want to end Bitcoin as soon as possible to prevent further damage to them and their own agendas. They make Bitcoin look bad so it is better to convince people to avoid it and easier for them to create some laws that will help them somewhat regulate it and get something out of it like taxes. I just hope that they can see the good things that it can bring to the majority of people and not just the few people who are on power.

As bitcoin supports the community financially stable , in the contrary government would like to ban bitcoin. In the fears that bitcoin uses  for illegal activities likely in buying drugs and in supporting terrorism. That is why they are pushing through the legality of bitcoin. Initial move to it is to know your client , presenting ids just to be sure that user is not involved  to any illegal activities which against the government.

Some are afraid from these changes, the ones who fear the most are the ones who have the most benefits from current system. We all know that more people in this world lives in poverty then in welfare, its normal that this minority of rich people are very laud now when bitcoin is growing, they are talking all the time how cryptocurrencies are scam, but they don`t give any arguments or proofs, they just say it and they expect once again people to believe them. I think we have been scammed many times by governments promises for better life, where we all going to be equal. What we have is that rich people are more richer, there are more poor people then ever, wars on all continents, I don`t need more proofs that this current system is wrong, and we need something like blockchain is, only that can help small guy to grow up.

Very well, so they didnt support this much cause the nature of this currency is much different in what a government is like centralization and decentralization, Bitcoin is decentralized, in which government doesnt have tge right to out any amount of tax in this, and if this currency widen its own capability it will be a threat to government, that the annual amount of tax that they have gathered will never be the same if most of the people used Bitcoin.

I do agree with you to some extent because now if we take look to the banks activates then they are getting lessen day by day, now people really know about bitcoin highly increasing price and they knows how safe it is to put money in bitcoin, so same as you said our government are afraid of losing the profit and the monthly tax they get from their currency and banking system so they don’t want bitcoin to be the way it is getting now, infect they are getting jealous of bitcoin increasing demand and popularity.
