Many of the FUDs circulating about bitcoin seem to indicate the scouring of bitcoin users' trust on bitcoin so bad perceptions of bitcoin, especially for new users and selling bitcoin, which seems deterrent to use bitcoin, will the price of bitcoin be destroyed by FUD, How do you react to it?

and the reason is very simple. FUD is not affecting everyone! it is always falsified information to create fear uncertainty and doubt in the market but it will only create such feelings among certain group of people who don't understand what is happening. we usually call them "newbies" or "panic sellers". they are not all the market, in fact the rest of the market is enjoying this group because they are the way to make profit easily and big time.

It matters how big the FUD is, who is spreading it, and who is believing it. If the FUD is big, something along the lines of people being able to steal bitcoin from a code problem in bitcoin -- that in and of itself is going to be a pretty scary claim for people -- plus if this is spread by mainstream media companies, I would think that this is going to be the nail in the coffin for bitcoin.

But let's say in the off chance everyone has lost faith in the MSM, then it doesn't matter what they say or report.

No matter how guinue the FUD sounds it will never destroy bitcoin but it can only make the price to drop. Most of knows the truth about bitcoin.

I don't think so. look at the history of bitcoin.
there has been a lot of FUD going but none can destroy it. only happens at the rate of decline not more than that. after the FUD and the ban passed bitcoin grow back without any doubt.

I dont think it can destroy bitcoin, but it can dump the price really hard. So see in the past weeks how many fud news are arround, and they are all dumping the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The most of them are just fake news, but the investors in cryptocurrencies are very sensitive and they are immidietaly selling their coins when there a bad news arround. So people here have to learn to stay cool and keep calm, or they will always lose their money.

No,  a lot of FUD right now but still bitcoin going strong. As far as I know bitcoin alot of haters but from cents to expensive value. It will rise a gain in the next month. Bitcoin will not die but will multiply. FUD is just a garbage need to put on the trash can.

FUD is not a bad thing at all if you look at it like an opportunity. or in other words How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love FUD (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1784749.0). it can actually be a way to make a lot of profit from the manipulation that has been happening to bitcoin for a very long time now.
the only problem is knowing what is a real FUD that can cause or at least intensify a drop and also know the difference between that and pure bullshit that some users spread on bitcointalk and elsewhere thinking they are FUDing. the first one is what you want to take advantage of and the second one is what you only want to laugh at :D

FUD is being generated only by the people without the proper knowledge, therefore FUD can never destroy Bitcoin, since strong investors will always stay in the market and hodl.
Also, FUD is even good every now and then, since many strong players will enjoy buying BTC at discount prices and gain even more profits in the long run. We all should be investing like that.

No, it can destroy it, this is completely out of question.
But it can make damage among the users, especialy those unxeperienced ones who esily fall on such false information. Think this is the only purpose of FUD, to create panic and unstable environement and at the end no one has the use of it.

My opinion to this is that FUD may affect slightly especially on the price of bitcoin and so does with the negative news from media outlets where due to volatility,  price may cause some fluctuations. In connection to this, I will disagree that it may totally destroy bitcoin as a whole but it does not at all since usually bitcoin may be able to recover in the soonest time.

Don't say FUD, Even banning can't stop or kill bitcoin. Bitcoin is not only currency or digital asset. It is a community. Borderless community with million members growing. everyday the members are growing. By the end of 2018, bitcoin and cryptocommunity can have strong position in political decision in my opinion. I don`t think that this is possible. Bitcoin is already strong enough and self-assured to be influenced by FUD. FUD can have a negative impact on new, still not held crypto-currency projects. But Bitcoin is no longer subject to FUD, since it is influenced by completely different factors.

All FUD can do is inhibit it's growth. It might destroy business structures that center around the use of BTC; maybe even set it back years in terms of acceptance and adoption.

Look at the recent rally last year, despite prices currently sitting roughly 7x higher than last year, some people got burned in the FOMO. Now all you hear in the media is how it was a bubble, it can't possibly work as a currency...blah blah blah.

These types of comments will stop some from becoming adopters or wanting to get involved; but it won't destroy a community of early to mid adopters who believe in the ideology of a decentralized system. Hell even if they don't believe in that ideology they can see a working and thriving ecosystem.

My father always used to say, "A lie can only run away for a short time, until the truth catch up to it" This is very true for all the FUD that are being spread around on the internet. It is our responsibility as Bitcoin supporters to make sure that the truth will catch up with the FUD, by continuously spreading the truth and by doing this, we expose the FUD.

Bitcoin will not be destroyed.  The big institutions wants the bitcoin price to become very low for them to buy a the cheapest price. To do this they need to create a FUD to current bitcoin investors and retailers. This FUD will be heard everywhere and on news broadcasting company. When the bitcoin price is at low. Big institution will buy a lot. it that happens bitcoin will sky rocket again to its new ATH

As other noted here, I don't think it can "destroy" bitcoin but only to damage its value. Bitcoin is becoming really popular and in my opinion it's on the verge of entering the mainstream, which would make it even more durable and strong.

As some negative and not open-minded people spreading of false or misleading information with the aim of undermining confidence in a project. We all know that the term is popular in cryptocurrency circles, and for good reason. A lot of the critiques of bitcoin in the mainstream media over the years certainly smack of FUD. Setbacks such as a sharp price correction or a government writing burdensome regulations are often exaggerated as fatal blows.

Absolutely not. The price of bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a whole depends on the investors and not in the FUCKING FUD's. FUD's are not affecting all of the investors but it only affects dead woods or the ones who has weak hands saying "OHHHH FUCK I SAW A NEWS ON BITCOIN SAYING IT WILL CRASH. TIME TO SELL MY BITCOIN". FUD does not destroy bitcoin until now unproven. if true destroy, give me the proof. you can try to learn the history of bitcoin from the first created to date. of course the various FUD in attack on the bitcoin in the accompaniment with the ban and hacking. but bitcoin to date still has a value that is quite expensive.

In an indirect way it can destroy peoples bitcoin spirit and because not all bitcoin user's are based on forums or are usually reading all the FUD being spread it leaves some hope of bitcoin seeing another day. But lets face it, pro traders use fud to score themselves some cheap crytpo coins.

I think not, because FUD is just part of the strategy of the whale to get bitcoin at cheap price, FUD will not make bitcoin destroy, from the first after FUD after some time the market could bounce back again, now we are as a trader should be smarter further exploit opportunities is in the market.

FUD cannot destroy Bitcoin, FUD can make Bitcoin difficult and go down quickly, but it can not destroy it. I believe many big investors will not care about FUDer because they know that if it goes down, they can buy at lower prices instead of worrying and selling them all.

It can be distressing to read the headlines... but rest assured, the FUD was a lot more harder to handle when the world (and the press) were just getting to grips with Bitcoin. Perhaps to newcomers, the news of illicit use, money laundering, terrorism financing are crucial shortfalls that seem to imply risk to owning Bitcoin, but these were the very same issues that cropped up years ago, and somehow seem to return in cyclical fashion. The FUD isn't new, it isn't fresh. It certainly hasn't destroyed Bitcoin. If anything, every wave of FUD seems to only make it stronger.

To a fanboi (that's 90% of this forum) then anything negative about bitcoin is labeled as fud, so when btc dies, from a fanbois perspective it will be due to fud.

From a more rational perspective the death of btc will be seen as a logical conclusion to a hyped up bubble.

So there you have it, it's impossible to answer this question as it depends on the individual what fud is or isn't.

FUD in itself is only a measure to try to trigger an emotional response from traders to get them to sell bitcoin. So yes, if the FUD is big enough/well achieved enough, then it can definitely result in BTC prices tanking. But most of the time FUD is only a catalyst, not something that caused the price to start decreasing in the first place. Take for example FUD generated from crypto ad bans, on the surface it may seem like that's what caused the BTC prices to go down from its peak, but in reality, it only quickened the process of the bubble bursting.

But over the long term, I don't think FUD will "destroy bitcoin".

Bitcoin first of all cannot be destroyed. It is a decentralised p2p network which means that as long as people are using it, it's going to be "alive". Secondly, FUD relating to bitcoin usually dies out extremely quickly, and FUD is at its highest points when market sentiment is pessimistic which is definitely not all the time.

Fud is a clever instrument for price manipulation and the people utilizing it are very adept at controlling the feelings of the masses. So when a quick pump & dump is needed some new fud pops up and the sheep follow blindly haha. Don't be sheep guys wise up  8)

In my opinion bitcoin can not be destroyed by FUD because bitcoin is a system that does not know FUD so if according to my view continue to preach about positive things about bitcoin that much advantage if we use it.

Not all people who have invested in cryptocurrency is stupid person, maybe some investor who don't have knowledge about cryptocurrency he will believe that. So, the FUD wouldn't make the price bitcoin distroyed, it's very imposible. If investor who have knowledge about cryptocurrency and he get information the he will reviewing the truth of the news (FUD or not). But a person who don't have knowledge about investment in cryptocurrency they will believe instantly and will sell his investment.

I think FUD make an effect about 20% of bitcoin price movement but that is not totally accurate, old investors are more than the newbie investors so if newbie are do panic selling while those old investors investing while the price is down. So at this moment even though how many FUD's news broadcast by the media bloggers is, still, bitcoin exist due to decentralized and that asset people trust bitcoin and embrace.

Somehow it can completely affect the market condition because the truth is many Bitcoin traders/investors are still lack understanding of Bitcoin as a financial asset, and we must respect that Bitcoin is yet still a highly speculative asset. But for completely destroy BItcoin as the whole term it would be impossible.

FUD certainly had an effect on the cryptocurrency i think because there people who just can't withstand negative news resulting to panic selling which in turn could make them lose money. FUD can affect the market but it can't destroy bitcoin.

I do not think that FUD can have long term effect on the prices of bitcoins. In the past 8 years we have seen news like :

-- Bitcoins is juts a bubble.

---Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme

--- Bitcoin is launched by US government to eliminate huge debt in their country

--- Bitcoin is  being used by criminals and for other illegal activities

Many other similar news has been shown in  media and posted online but bitcoins is still growing strong.

Mostly this media creates a huge FUD with providing wrong information or half information and due to this people gets panic as they understand half or get wrong information and this creates a dip in the market. This has happened time and again and very difficult to get away with it.

I actually believe Bitcoin is super strong to FUD. Yes, the price dropped, but it is more cause of manipulation than FUD. If you compare BTC to any other company, you will see how strong it is. Just take a look what happened to Snapchat over just ONE tweet! Or when eBay said they will not renew the contract with paypal. FUD affects, but not as much as to the other companies.

Absolutely NO. Does everyone really believe that FUD is a huge factor for the price to decline?. FUD only plays a very tiny role in price manipulation. Huge factors are, whales who dump big time, regulations, banning of exchange, and minimizing the use of cryptocurrencies. Below all that is FUD. I don't think that FUD can destroy Bitcoin completely, it can certainly damage it a bit. People are way to emotional when it comes to investing money. It is fairly easy to invest in cryptocurrencies and that's why many inexperienced people decide to buy Bitcoin. People are not well educated, they spend their money on something they actually don't understand at all and later they blame someone or something else for their mistake.

It can not destroy the bitcoin but it only causes the price of the bitcoin to drop for a certain period of time. The value of bitcoin is still not affected because the news is just a tool for sharks to suck money from investors.

No it cannot. It can affect the price though and sometimes to great lengths but there is no way that bitcoin will be destroyed due to people spreading FUDs.

FUD would only affect newbies who don't have enough knowledge about bitcoin and they just become victims of big whales which the FUD spreaders expect.It would just increase the fluctuation in bitcoin price temporarily and it does not have enough power to destroy bitcoin.Otherwise by this time,bitcoin would have got destroyed hundreds of time. In practice, that means price crashes, people frustrated, market sentiment below zero, but ultimately the truth will come out so that fudsters will be kicked out and laughed at. All that matters at the end of the day is real utility, and bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies do provide it. Despite being mostly a speculative asset these days, bitcoin remains a viable means of payment across the world.

FUD may or may NOT kill Bitcoin. That all depends o the spirit of the People. If people run after Bitcoin only for its speculative value, then yes, FUD will easily kill Bitcoin in the end because if the price drops to 0 no one except some very clever whales will want to invest in it. FUD works on the mainstream populations as does the mainstream Media spread all the bad news very fast to all the people, everywhere. Only if people believe in the whole idea BEHIND BITCOIN, then FUD can never destroy Bitcoin because Bitcoin will rule in the hearts and minds of us and not be moved.

FUDs  will always be present especially if someone are getting more popular and we know crypto is becoming more popular so I think this is normal. The only thing we should do is to always not quickly believe by some news that aren't even giving reasonable proof. Not all people are in favor in crypto so we should expect with this kind of problems.

I don't think that FUD destroy Bitcoin. Because It is A good and long lasting coin which always give profit to its investor. It Just demand Patience from its investors. 

Not FUD alone I guess. Social media is a big factor that .any influence and affect the world of digital currencies. With people thinking that FUDs are true will lose their trust and may probably lower the demand of bitcoins or any other coins in the circulation that would lower the prices and would eventually pull the market down.
Since we are talking about destruction , I think FUD is just an external factor and would not affect the system itself to make the use of bitcoins stop.

I agree with you FUD is the catches coming from the shark wanting new investors to stick with. This is the best way to make a profit from new investors. To maintain the market and stabilize it, the sharks are creating a lot of traps.

FUD has been with us ever since specially in the 3 years when bitcoin price experience a exponential growth. If FUD has the power to destroy bitcoin, we all wouldn't be here I guess.

If may have affected the market though, but its not enough to pull the price as bitcoin has been so resilient will all the negative rumors and will bounce back even higher after a fall because of FUD, it a nutshell, the effect will be just temporary.

If this is possible,  then it would have happened along time ago,  we have heard alot of FUD news about bitcoin and crytpo as a whole,  news like Bitcoin is dead,  news like the end of crypto in the world,  news like india wants to ban BTC,  we have seen so many FUD news and still seeing more daily,  but that can't stop the existence of bitcoin because it's a free market.

So many FUDs that have sounded even more than genuine, and still the market still always get back up. I feel FUD is usually just a way some set of people try to use information to quickly drive down the price for their benefit, knowing how the market will respond quickly.

But the truth is that is how it would just always be, the short period and it will be over and the market recovers, those who panic, end up joining back as FOMOs, the market makers make money from the fluctuation and the market cycles that way once ina  while, but destroying bitcoin like OP said, unless there is a news internet is going to be banned worldwide.

With the support of the community people to bitcoin there's no FUD that can take it down. It may lower the value in a bit but still bitcoin won't die because of those FUDs. There are lots of new altcoins wanting to replace bitcoin so the devs can benefit from it.

I believe in bitcoin's technology so for me no FUD can tilt bitcoins nature since its technology has still so much to offer in the future.

I don't think FUD can destroy bitcoin but for sure it can really slow it down because people panic easily, after a while the hodlers are like "oh, China says they're gonna ban BTC, again, who cares".

FUD is something that is normal, most especially for every new market and that is what makes it stronger as far as I am concerned, as it keeps weathering those storms and getting better, then we keep seeing stronger investors who would not care based on experience. We have always experienced FUD, and it won't stop, but they are meant to just scare the weak ones.

The thing is FUD generally cannot destroy bitcoin; otherwise we would not have been here today even after all that happened with MtGox, Bitstamp and the likes a long time back.

Yes, the market responds to FUD quickly than even good news, but it is generally part of the market and no matter what, it is something we have to always expect to happen and how we respond to it is all that matters within that short period.

It may affect bitcoin in a small way because those investoes who are new in cryptocurrency are the ones most affected because they tend to sell their bitcoins whe  they heard bad news about bitcoin becausw of FUDs but it can't bring bitcoin down. It can affect only a little.

FUD does influence. Some investors will ignore it, because they know where it's coming from and that it's false news. But some will get scared and panic sell, afraid to lose their money. FUD can be spread to get the bitcoin price down and it can be spread to try to eliminate bitcoin. This is mostly done by bank officials, because they're afraid they might lose control.

Yes I believe it will but not for a long time. It will disconnect investors because they will be scared to come invest. However, it will not be a destruction that can earn the supreme control of bitcoin for a long time to come.

Fud doesn't need to be stopped and can't be stopped. The main point of importance is that the problem isn't fud itself, but the ignorant nature of the people being part of this market. That ignorant nature makes fud effective, and when you take people's ignorance away, fud will automatically lose its effectiveness as result. It's just a matter of logical thinking, really. Ignorance not being a factor anymore translates into stronger holders and a less volatile market. I however don't think we'll ever reach that state on our own, so stock market measures will need to be implemented on every regulated exchange. Whales will then adapt to that and work out a way to manipulate the market within the security trigger zones....

fud can not destroy or harm btc because there are not all the same people in crypto, there are very wise man who can understand what goin on!
they can understand the situation and they can kick out the fudders and scammers so no need to worry about btc it will be recover soon.

FUD is setup by one or group of persons to negate the blockchain technology but then how can it destroy a thing that FUD did not create. How can you destroy a thing that virtually exists. They can only delay but they cannot destroy bitcoin.

Not good for Newbies and Users who just aim a short-term profit, those who already know how time can change its price will not be bothered on all the Fuds that is happening, well we see waves of Fuds and still Bitcoin and crypto manage to stand and just in time it will soon to recover. C'mon more fuds will come as long as people didn't want to accept that technology in financial transactions and investment changes but crypto can still bear with it.

Yes, I like the word falsified information. The thing here is that a lot of people usually get greedy and with their level of ignorance, tend to make the wrong decisions in the market and with that there is no way they will not respond negatively to FUD, but that like you said, does not mean everyone is responding to it as it is a normal part of the market which a lot of old investors count as nothing, except for new investors that are just busy panicking for no reason.

FUD can affect some users but not all because we have different minds so example like me even they spread a lot of scam accusation about binance still i use it because i don't experience scam but if they scam or hack my btc in my binance account then after that i will leave that then find some exchanger that no scam accusation and more better

Seen a whole load of FUD over the years and Bitcoin is still going strong.

FUD can rock the price, there's no doubting that, however things normalise pretty fast. To be honest the only way I can see Bitcoin (cryptocurrency in general) realistically being "destroyed" is if banks and Governments make life problematic for being associated with it.

Fuds has been existing through these years and bitcoin still existing. It cannot destroy bitcoin it proven many times but look into bitcoin market it still alive. Fuds may resulted into traders such as panic selling that affects prices decreasing but it will increase again.

I think bitcoin is not affected in all those FUD because the affected here is the users well every users has different behavior imagine to those who are worried to lose their money is the most affected because they cannot overcome the situation they feel if they hold long the more they lose their money so basically they become panic seller.

We usually know that a lot of FUD is produced by the media, and these media usually do not do more thorough investigation when they are reported. In normal businesses there are going to be negative and positive reviews from critics which can either leader tour business to a fall or lead it to a better position among the oppositions. I guess, Fud is one of the reason why market value of bitcoin keeps fluctuating because some investors will get believe on it and panic selling their bitcoin funds, especially for those who newbie in bitcoin investment.  And I agree with you, it cannot simply destroy bitcoin just because of the Fud.

Those are actually the ones I see getting screwed up in the market at the end of the day. It's a big No from my side. Fear, Uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) haven't destroyed anything so far. It's a natural thing that whenever some item goes down, we only hear bad news about that item. For instance, when oil went down to a record low of 27 dollars per barrel in 2016  (http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/11/investing/oil-price-crash/index.html)we heard many bad news about oil and equity market. That's the time when people in panic sell their items and are bought by genuine investors. Oil crossed 50 dollars few months later and so does equity market also recovered. Same is the case with BTC, few days back when BTC was under 7000 $, we heard strange news (FUD) about it and when it started moving up, we heard positive news about it. We must not listen and pay attention to news unless they are authenticated.

FUD created by some people in the crypto world, for me is just a strategy to pump and dump their holdings and has no long-term effect on bitcoin users' trust. FUD is affecting to everyone but in very different way. Whether you’re a day trader or long-haul investor preparing for retirement, losing money in any money market is a suck. And Fear is a first reason for loosing your funds.

So there is what we call short term effect. Which means that the price could experience a minor dip because of the FUD. However, long term though, when everyone understands what's going on and if the FUD is real or not, the price will pick up and totally forgot that FUD. And then its goes on another cycle, another FUD comes in, bitcoin bounce back. So it can't really destroy bitcoin because I'm sure that as we mature, this kind of FUD will just be a normal process that we are going to see everyday. And everyone doesn't care anymore, simply as that.

Education and experience is the key to FUD.When you sell off your coin because of panic in the market you will lose money and after some hours the price reverse and move up but you have already lost, that becomes your experience and education  for future use.

FUD can play a role in the effecting a lot of coins but at this point of the game, there's no way that FUD can kill BTC because of its sheer size and adoption into mainstream application such as in Japan where its used alongside the Yen. At most it could ease a bit of the new people coming into BTC but the people that are already in BTC know its true value as something to make money off and they would happy to wait for the effect of FUD to drop the prices of BTC to buy in the dip for big profits.

I don't think that FUD have that power to destroy the bitcoin. In the past it had a significant effect on bitcoin price and this year we say continuous FUD on bitcoin. So the people are too much used to it now. And in the upcoming year, any kind of FUD will have lesser effect on BTC price.

I think it can slightly affect but I don't think it can destroy. Bitcoin is already established and number one digital currency in crypto. Its reputation can never be destroyed by some FUD that so easy. I think those people that are affected by this FUD are the ones that are new to crypto or individual that has been scammed by Ponzi scheme program owners. They might have little knowledge or no personal inclination to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, in general, that's why they panic when FUD circulates in crypto sphere.

There is a possibility with it. For me Bitcoin are more being to a high speculation investment at now, which are based on several factors not only technically. Judging from its steadily rising prices, those whales see this as an opportunity to hunt for money, whether by spreading FUD make demand < supply ? if that so, it will down the price and chances for those whales to buy more Btc at the discounted price :) and will sell again at a high price.

I think FUD is actually needed in bitcoin marketing strategies so people pay attention to bitcoin. Especially the government and banks. But of course the intensity of the FUD as necessary. Sometimes FUD could decrease the price if a mass media could misinform people who holds bitcoin anything bad about it even it is not true. I dont think it can destroy bitcoin. After the FUD and the ban passed bitcoin grow back without any doubt. The investors are immidietaly selling their coins when there a bad news. So people have to learn to keep calm, or they will always lose their money.

FUD can never destroy bitcoin. But it can destroy the bitcoin holders specially those new in the field. Imagine a guy that has no literally experience about it, with the bearish price and several FUD creators he will be surely panicking. Losing a chunk of money from mistakes like that will surely scared them to use bitcoin again.
