I'm new to this forum so i'll introduce myself a bit, I am Marco, I'm 19 years old and live in The Netherlands I study Software Engineer :) First of all sorry if this topic is in the wrong section. I am thinking of starting with the mining of bitcoins, if it is worth it :p I got a server at home wich is already running 24/7 so I thought why not mine bitcoins with it to if it is on 24/7 anyways :) I was thinking about buying one of these: Butterfly Labs Jalapeno 5Gh/s BitCoin Miner - Costs 300 euro USB Block Erupter by ASICMINER - Costs 20 euro So my question is now is it worth for me for buying one of these or will I just lose money? :p Server specs: Intel core i5 2500k 16 GB ram Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 1 Western Digital Harddisk 2.5" 2TB, SATA300 onboard graphics card :p G-series PSU ( 300 watt i think ) OS: Windows server 2012 Title: Re: Starting with Bitcoin mining Post by: demonmaestro on November 11, 2013, 11:22:31 AM Well unless your buying the BFL locally or from someone that has one in hand then okay. dont buy it from them you will be waisting money.
