Manage to delete the wallet.dat folder on my computer like an idiot :( Im back in through my paper backup codes but the wallet name has changed from the name I set initially and is now called Paperbackup Sorry for such a stupid question but will I need to make a new watch only copy of this wallet as the name is now different to the watch only wallet on the online armory? The name of the wallet is really just for your own information. You can change the name through the wallet properties through the right-menu under "Change Wallet Labels". Regardless of the name of the wallet, the private keys and addresses will be the same if they came from the same paper backup. The only important part is the wallet ID, which shouldn't have changed. If so, is there a way to detect active addresses using that, or not really, since they are generated from a list?

You can click "Receive Bitcoins" over and over and it will generate the same sequence of addresses as the first time. Though, if you are online, and you have money in address, say, #23, Armory should've detected that and filled the list up to #23. (the default is 100 addresses, you'll have to manually generate them for going higher than that). |
