Halfcoin is a technical coin that can be mined on the CPU of your laptop

The fact is that when I created Merecoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3234769), I was asked:

I want to thank you for the coin and have a question. you say this can be mined with CPU but if you see the lpool the hashrate is already 1.6Gh/s. I don't think so that that is cpu miner as I have checked the no. of miners mining the scrypt coins.

So this comes to me as a shock that you write it as CPU mining coin where in it's contrast it's different story.

It looks like a mockery going on in the name of cpu mining. I might be wrong but can you please let me know what protocol has been used or step to make sure this is cpu mineable only.
