Title: CryptoCurrent Radio
Post by: Joshua Galinus on April 17, 2018, 04:27:45 AM
I've started a daily radio podcast covering the latest in cryptocurrency/blockchain news. Each video is 4-5 minutes long.  Basically, what I've done is synthesise the main points and data from several online news sources.

It includes updates on

- National regulation
- Blockchain adoption
- Hacks
- Crypo related crime
- When new exchanges open or close around the world.
- ICOs that stand out as vital to improving Crypto-currency infrastructure

I'm not a cryptocurrency trader but a journalist deeply interested in the geopolitical effects of cryptocurrency as well as the underlying potential of Blockchain technology.

Thanks.

Happy Trading!

Hi,
I look over through your pod cast as referred in your posting, I suggest you as journalist to search news related with crypto such as :
1. acceptance of crypto in a country
2. comment from the influence people in the world including an institution such as several days ago, president director of European Bank says something about crypto
3. progress of an ICO and after ICO of a project specially to their roadmap
4. etc.
I will input you further after seeing your progress later as I see your radio show still limited in number as just started.

Few pointers (while there's no live shows and visuals [as you intend to, someday]):

1. Add more energy (honestly, I got bored halfway through the podcast [no offense])
2. Provide more comments (give your own view), instead of reading the points
3. Improve the level of your voice (it's inconsistent at the moment)

Basically, what I've done is synthesise the main points and data from several online news sources.
Be careful when choosing your news sources, the credibility of the channel is the most important factor to make it successful:

  • CNN news: characterized by unbiased news about cryptocurrencies, for example, you can find that most of the news is negative and falsifying the facts.
  • CoinDesk news: more biased to cryptocurrencies and most of them amplified for news.
  • bitcoin.com: BCH FUD

ICOs that stand out as vital to improving Crypto-currency infrastructure

Beware of ICOs, any attempt to scam by these campaigns will open fire on your channel.

Do not ask for a donation, Make the primary goal "sharing knowledge"  and you will find who supports your channel.

Cheers gentleman

I've finally gotten some space to speak a little more loud and clearly

Also had to delete and re-upload some videos due to errors I made with uploading the wrong files -
was pretty mad about it for a bit but I guess now is the time to make mistakes and not when i have a huge following lol.

Will definitely take this advice in to consideration.

My goal is not to excite people necessarily. It's meant more for traders and people interested in getting important facts and information without any kind of "fluff" or anecdote, similar to a the kind of business/stock updates radio channels in the mainstream but for crypto. Purely practical. Which is why I asked for donations at the start as i'm very careful to make sure that every thing I cover has practical consequences. Interviews are on the list for when there is a larger following.

At the start I was spending wayyyy too much time piece-mealing things together on audacity so my perception of hard work was a little skewed lol. Now I'm getting used to speaking like a reporter  - so things are going more smoothly and i'm spending less time editing. As for the donations I'm sure mentioning my Patreon page at the end of the video is fine, that seems to be the norm nowadays but yeah I'm going to keep the request off of forums. I'm just getting back in to community engagement after many years of research so it's a learning curve.

Also trying to scale myself back to release for markets at 9am est. Do you guys think I should release at 8:30 though? I know the mainstream markets are open at 9am but I'm thinking that it may be better to give listeners more time to prepare.

As for sources I am using the following

News.Bitcoin.com
CCN.com
Cointelegraph.com
Bitcoinist.com
BTCmanager.com
News.Bitcoin.com
https://www.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/4

I'm open to any other suggestions.

Interesting, I listened to it and it's  okay. Your voice is louder in your recent podcast than it was in the formers. The websites you got your cryptos news are okay but please do a double or triple check cause sometimes,  the media can also make mistakes.  You should also provide a possible link for audio or mp3 download cause it's not everyone that may to watch it on YouTube. And do a vigorous marketing too, your channel needs exposure.

Hi- nice start, congrats on getting something going. Adding some photos and titles for each day would be great, and a photo of you, or something other than the green bar would be awesome.
