I bought Verge when it was 0.08$. But recent hype related to secret partnershit did not turn out to be a success as the price went down immediately following the official annoucement of the partnership. Now, I lost in BTC value around 30% as the price did not get to my sell order. Therefore, the question to pro traders, should I hold or get rid of that s’coin? Thanks in advance!

I think you already missed the chance of dumping that coin. You better should keep it in safe place for bull market. Verge is very good coin and I am sure porn industry usage will bring it great amount of people..

It wasn't easy to engage in partnership specially porn industry. There are things that we expected but it didn't happen because there are unexpected things comes. So change is necessary to do to make it under control. You wait it will the center.

I read an article on what is the impact of VERGE-MINDGEEK partnership and I see this as a positive partnership because in the history of crypto, there is no coin that have a partnership adult industry. I think it's better to sell and buy back at the bottom, right now the hype is over. It was a buy the rumor and sell the news situation, you need to wait for the next rumor and buy back your token and sell it at the top.

I would hold. The main principle in investing is do not loose money. Yes there could be an opportunity cost, but the market will no doubt grow and no doubt drag up xvg to the very minimum your break even point. Be patient, people are buying the rumour and selling the news. it will rise shortly.

I just bought Verge for 7 cents, but during yeaterday pump of all alts, Verge just was losing positions. So sad. But I guess this is a result of Pornhub collaboration.

If you lose you can wait some time, it's useless if you sell now. I see the movement of the Verge continues to decline compared with other altcoins. the team of verge did the same error with the wraith launch in january, a lot of hype for a feature not very well developed that needed more work after the launch, in this case they put a lot of hype for a news that is not very important in my opinion and the market answered with a dump. i suggest you to hold  becase baybe it will pump again like december

If you really don't have doubts on it, HOLD might be a good thing to do. We think also that not only Verge are in dip but almost all altcoins are now on red, it could actually rise again in few days from now.

the current state for you has been quite difficult because it suffered losses. sell also certainly won't improve the situation because the loss will be greatly felt. only the most secure option is to hold until the price rose back at least until the price of the crew or could produce a profit, however, it took a long time.

I think it solely depends on what you think about bitcoin's movements. If you think that bitcoin will continue its rally and break the $9k mark or even the $10k mark, then hold. You've already lost 30% of your investment and cashing out now doesn't do much good. Anyway Verge have their crazy followers but in general they sucked in main bisoness - security , cause thet were hacked. So now I guess they try to get more hype in they coin. But people or companies did that only when they can't do something real. So before you'll see that coin is stable( that moment can not be in this life actually) you should be careful with that. I believe the coin dropped in value because investors were expecting much bigger news. So basically, it all depends on your own assessment of the new partnership. If you think the integration of verge could revolutionize the way of paying, I would definitely hold.

In my opinion, it's not the best idea to sell during a period of lows. If you really want to get rid of your stake, I would do so during a period of high growth. Just my opinion.

You should hold in long term it will make decent profit because Crypto market is down in past three months so know only everything is slowly recover.
 If you have many coin you should exchange some other potential platform or you have only few coins you must hold for one year automatically it will going to moon.

Is Verge the first privacy coin accepted from a merchant? If so, I would say to hold onto it. Even if it isn't, it's use on pornhub will help facilitate mass adoption. People who go on there and don't even know about crytpo will see the option to pay in Verge. And the traffic that site gets doesn't need to be mentioned. Just not really sure how long it's going to take for that to happen. The partnership really isn't bad in my opinion, and XVG is a good use case for it. However, people buy the rumor and sell the news. That's the reason for the price dip. There will be another announcement soon enough and you'll have a chance to cash in for profit. I've been buying/selling XVG in the pumps/dumps for months now. It's a really good coin for that.

First of all never get involved with a coin that says they have a secret partnership. Every partnership is secret until it is revealed and them saying that should have raised some red flags. And you lost 30% on BTC that isn't the end of the world, take this as a lesson to never follow your whims like that. I think this coin is very promising. People love anonymous coins and will buy them. I hope that this coin can multiply my capital.

In general, we can say that Verge is not a hype crypto currency. The project is developing smoothly, and the developers are systematically improving the network. There are also rumors that Verge could be the first project to start using anonymous smart contracts.  So obviously it has some potential. How big, time will show us. So it will be better to hold, instead of loose your funds, my opinion.

Recently, there were highlighted by a scam partnership with Pornhub and wanted to grab more attention. I think you should get rid of this coin and sell as soon as possible at whatever profit you get. verge is the most active coin from the beginning of the year, with multiple improvements.
Just looking at the facts of this coin!! it should already have been much, much higher than it is now at. Actually it is amazing that its success in its development, is not reflected in its price.

While most coins are absolutely bullshit coins with just a white paper and vague dreams, verge seems to have a development team, who actually believe this coin will reach what crypto currencies are meant to be.
Crypto currency should be just that, "" a currency"" , ( replacing or at least be an alternative to the regular government currencies )
For now verge is the only coin which is taking steps into that direction ( becoming a functional alternative currency to regular currencies controlled by central banks ).

Considering above mentioned facts, verge should be one of the few coins worth holding.....but in crypto space nothing is for certain. You have to consider the worst case scenarios and make sure you invest without risking more than you can handle.

That's a difficult decision obviously. Maybe a lesson to learn, not to buy a coin when it is too hot, and too high in price. It is always better to wait for a dip on a coin you believe in and jump on it at that point. Apart from that I would say, If you really believe in it, keep it. If not, get rid of it :)

Well, I wasn't surprised. I saw how Verge swung on every good news, and you have to remember, it actually climbed/pumped during the announcement of the secret deal, all that hype and optimism were priced in. When I finally saw the reveal, I actually expected prices to plunge but my sell order still triggered at 1200 satoshi, so my real surprise was that it spiked first before declining. Still a good coin to buy for the short term, it will probably hit past 1500 sats a few more times before people realize it's not exactly a special kind of Monero.

I'm not a super professional, but I will say that if the coin began to fall there you have two options, either quickly get rid of it or forget about it for a long time, but it's not a fact that it will give rise, so get rid of my opinion.

I think you should hold you verge for now as what the market is experiencing is just for the main time as the market price will boom up again as this is one of the potentials coins available for now. You can also decide to invest some of the coin into some promising coin that will definitely yield more profits.

Do not like Verge here but am a speculator. I already made back profits with Verge so even if I continue to play with it, it will never be with new BTC. I agree with you that 3 digit is overpriced for medium term, but for short and medium term, you can expect pumps to 1k or more a few more times, so I would always buy back more Verge at 500 or below, I have already twice done that with 2x or 3x profits. It is a pump coin, make no mistake, but lots of volume.

I've bought XVG in range between 0.07 and 0.08$ , I've bought just after parnership release and massive dump. I believe that verge will remain previous levels and even go higher because this partnership isn't that bad. Moreover I like privacy coins and bet on them

Copied/forked coin (no real skill needed), get a big enough community, pump time, dump on the newbs, rinse & repeat.

I think verge is a good coin, so I'm holding onto it, so when you need to wash all of your altcoin holdings you'll need my coin, because you will soon realize the other privacy coins aren't as good. Verge is ahead of its time, all I have to do is wait. Just like bitcoin was ahead of its time, it would be pretty ironic down the road if people were like, man if only I could hop into a time machine and buy Verge.

I think verge will grow but it's simply to unprofessional at the moment. Deny all you like but the whole coin is handled horrendously. If it was run well we would be at 50c/$1 already IMO

I understand they are doing something right to reach 42c aud peak but it could be so much better.

Verge has been a huge disappointment for me, in multiple terms.
It was a bad investment for me.
It never really accomplished anything I wanted it to.
Their partnerships are just worthless, good only for pumping the price for a short amount of time.

Verge feature is just like zcash right ? As far as i know its better to buy zcash or monero for privacy coin then any other coin. The coin which will survive is only coin which can be mined becaise its have value to created it. I prefer you hold zcash and monero then verge. And zcash also have very small coin in circullation.

Verge has been in a steady value since the past year but due to the bear market phase it is continuously decreasing in rice value sho instead of selling it foo for fiat you must hold into it right now

I bought verge when cryptocurrency prices are top on february. I still wait and will wait to rising. Cryptocurrency is the patience patience and patience. You shoul wait  even these times bad more and more. We should wait the good times maybe 5 months later maybe one year or two year maybe one week later.

The decision to take on this depends on you.If you think it is reliable and you will make profit, you can decide to still hold but if you do not really trust it, then you can sell and invest in a more promising coin.

I don't like Verge because of that bullrun that happened for it for no apparent reason. Looks like a pump&dump coin for me even though it hase some nice privacy features. Hold it but sell whenever you're on +.
