Why did you post this in the Scam Accusations board?

I would say that it's because he doesn't care if the project is legit or not. If they are paying, he will promote it. But this doesn't automatically make all projects a scam.

It's advertised on his website here: https://mcafeecryptoteam.com/effect.html (https://mcafeecryptoteam.com/effect.html)

"Individual tweets, whether created in Mr. McAfee’s voice or by the company whose products we are promoting, cost $105,000 per tweet."

He orchestrated massive pump and dumps with his "Coin of the Day" bullshit a few months. He's a scam artist as well as a criminal, and it's about time the crypto world ignored him.

I'm not going to say he's a scam, but I do think he should be more strict in the projects he chooses to promote, according to what I read about him, he said that he promotes projects that he believes and uses, I do not remember of the link where I read it, but on his site it has something similar:

Quote

HOW TWEETS ARE CREATED

We turn down over 90% of all companies wanting to buy our services. The reason is that only products and services that Mr. McAfee truly believes in will be promoted. These are products or services that Mr. McAfee has personally purchased or used and is pleased enough with to engage in promotions, or ICOs whose white paper describes a vision in line with Mr. McAfee’s vision and the company producing it has passed our thorough audit. As such, he is comfortable using his own voice in tweets if our clients wish. In this arrangement, the client is allowed no input into the tweet so that Mr. McAfee’s tweet will remain authentically his. Alternatively, the client may write their own tweet, but the tweet must not imply that it was written by Mr. McAfee.

so he's doing something very dangerous, people trusted him and he seems to be ruining his own reputation just because of the profit, I say because of the profit because he can refuse to promote any project that has some red flag, no matter how small that red flag be. for who invested in the crypto world to hear something of a great person like mcafee is like it was a "yes, you can invest in the X coin that has no problem" and then you are cheated, this is very disappointing

Mcafe is a personality, not one that necessarily inspires a lot of trust, but an interesting character.

Wonder what kind of projects would afford that whopping figure.

People such as Mcafee discredit the global cryptocommunity though previously he has done considerable efforts to popularize bitcoin and crypto as a whole. His promotion of any cryptoasset is now regarded as the red flag for investment in that cryptoasset. Funny thing is that initially he refused to openly recognise the fact that he got payments for promotion.
