Title: Why Altcoin prices often follow Bitcoin price
Post by: AteenaD on April 28, 2018, 04:47:17 PM
Do they really? I often encounter this statement. And i have no idea as to why. This past few days, bitcoin is on the rise and most certainly than not altcoin's price surely follows. I am not saying this is bad but altcoins have very little in common with bitcoin. And they are certainly not carbon copies of bitcoin either. Why the heck is their price so closely connected despite being so fundamentally different?

Yes they do.
I've seen it happening myself some months ago, while watching in two different monitors the BTC/USD, ETH/USD and LTC/USD prices.
I was watching Kraken (for 3 days), running the charts plus 3 indicators, and all the charts (plus the indicators) looked the same.
The only explanation was, that the majority of the transactions was made by bots, running the same parameters.
If someone else has a better explanation, feel free to express it.

Do they really? I often encounter this statement. And i have no idea as to why. This past few days, bitcoin is on the rise and most certainly than not altcoin's price surely follows. I think both are connected in a trade that creates a high demand. some users want to make a profit by selling alt and buy bitcoin, some other users sell bitcoin and buy alt. please correct me if my opinion is wrong.

Why altcoin prices often follow bitcoin prices, I think bitcoin prices are very influential for altcoin because altcoin is made to mask weakness of bitcoin, besides altcoin and bitcoin are very related and need each other especially when supply and demand of international market has increased or decreased .. .

Because this whole thing is not stocks. When bitcoin have it own bull run more people tend to buy altcoins as they feel confidence in the market and because they are looking to get profit they are going into altcoins as with altcoins you can double your money faster than with bitcoin. When bitcoin is moving down there is less confidence in the market and everybody wants to preserve their value they have gained and thus they tend to switch to big cryptos such as Bitcoin, Ethereum or even fiat currencies or USDT - tether to try to save their value from going down.

So at the end as bitcoin is the biggest out there it provides the confidence in the market.

May be it is because all alts are trading against bitcoin and orders are agaist bitcoin, so when bitcoin price to dollar changes, altcoin price to dollar also changes. But may be I wrong.

Maybe because at bitcoin 37% of dominance in the whole market is crypto-currency? On many stock exchanges, altcoyins are traded only with bitcoin. Pairs with the dollar are often not, hence the direct dependence

Most of the exchanges have BTC/Alt pairs and Even with ethereum. The problem is the market cap, When BTC price up, People going invest in altcoins. When BTC price down Altcoins dump. Becuase People are panicked with the market. Even Eth price going down with BTC.Most exchanges not having USD/Altcoins pairs. If more and more USD/Altcoins available, Altcoins prices will be stable in the cryptocurrency market.

Still, BTC is market giant, People believe strongly.

Do they really?

the reason for it does not matter at all, although you can speculate about it as much as you like and it is interesting to think about it.

this first question of yours is the important part. and yes they do follow bitcoin downwards but not always upwards. this is the thing you need to remember which means if bitcoin falls they will fall but if bitcoin rises they don't necessarily follow it up.
knowing this, you can adjust your strategies and make a lot of profit. for example if you see bitcoin drop you can short ethereum and other big coins and make a lot of money.

I really do not know about this, but I see the price of BTC is decided on the Crypto market. If the price of BTC is high, other altcoin also increased in price and vice versa. Perhaps BTC is king in the Crypto market.

It is definitely psychological. Bitcoin carries whole weight of the market on its shoulders. Its strength gives people relaxed position so they divide their money on different altcoins and pump them higher. Sure of it.

If bitcoin prices rise, then there are some altcoins that could potentially experience price increases as well, cause, maybe a lot of selling altcoin to bitcoin which resulted in altcoin prices go up.  As demand rises or more, there will be price increases.

This is really hard to answer, the first one altcoin grows thanks to the capital mobilization, the capital mobilization from the ICO projects are based on the BTC to buy and sell, people see the BTC is the king of the market Crypto, as the price of BTC fluctuates, other investors fear altcoin and they also sell on the market, so the altcoin prices have fallen.

Bitcoin is like king and all altcoins must follow it, this is the cryptomarket principle. That is because people selling bitcoin for altcoins and conversely. The market has been  working since the beginning and this principle has to be preserved, you just have to get used to it

Title: Re: Why Altcoin prices often follow Bitcoin price

because altcoin exists before bitcoin and altcoin are heavily dependent on bitcoin. altcoin and bitcoin are connected. and altcoin can not live without bitcoin because all altcoin is sold to bitcoin so altcoin price is very influential to bitcoin.
other than that because when bitcoin goes down then there will be public panic to sell their altcoin assets and as more and more people are selling their assets eating this will cause altcoin down

Everyone knows that bitcoin is the most popular digital currency and is now the benchmark for everything related to the crypto world. So it's not unusual when altcoin prices always change when bitcoin prices move. This is indeed a normal thing to happen, altcoin prices will always follow bitcoin prices. Bitcoin remains the best and may now be said to be usd dollars, as in the real world that usd dollars always be the benchmark of various values in the world's Finance system.

We can't deny that all altcoins were dependent on bitcoin in terms of price because it has a big market cap and users. Therefore whatever changes in its value will affect another coin as it is  the barometer of the stability of cryptocurrency in the market.

It doesn't always happen. Sometimes bitcoin is falling and alts are going up, like in January 2018. Yet the tendency of it being the case is usually observed when the bitcoin's marketcap dominance is high or increasing. This happens during bad times when the market is bleeding. People tend in such cases to trust only btc and sell everything else more than bitcoin. When btc get stable on a reasonable price, other coins might trigger the upper movement. For instance, this month we saw IOTA, Ethereum, Ripple and Eos moving up at different time, encouraging other coins to go up a bit as well.

I want to say, alt-coin prices often follow bitcoin price because, once value in btc drops; it outrightly affects altcoins prices and this forces people to dump.

For example, if bitcoin is 8000$, ELF is 1.5$ - 3$
Then if bitcoin drops to 7400$, ELF goes to 0.6$ - 1$

circumstances as above, would always diminish values of altcoin, thereby causing an unprecedented dump

Bitcoin is king of Cryptocurrency but this is not a exact reason. More than 1500 Cryptocurrencies are listed in the market but most of altcoins are different criteria to follow the pump and dump. But major altcoins are follow the Bitcoin value so big investors are investing in both Bitcoin and potential altcoins once panic to stop the investment automatically affect the total Crypto platform.

Actually its not all the altcoin that goes with the flow whenever bitcoin the leading crypto  increase its price, preferably the mineabnle altcoins are the ones who goes with it but not all, as your going to see and check the market, altcoins deal with the price of bitcoin because if the price of bitcoin increase the more traders go with the law of demand and supply.

Bitcoin is the first crypto currency. It's popular and with very little supply, next to exploiting a bitcoin, you have to spend a lot of money to exploit bitcoin. Bitcoin is the currency that people always want to own, which gives it the lead in the cryptocurrency. You can see that bitcoin decreases the altcoin decreases. Bitcoin increases, all altcoins increase, but you may notice, Bitcoin increases to a certain extent, altcoin can recover prices again. Bitcoin can be said to be worth the price for the altcoin and stabilize the market price.

In fact, no difference. And that and that - кpиптoвaлюты. If we talk about any specific crypto currency, then the difference, of course, will be. First of all, this is the algorithm on which the crypto currency lockdown and the type of encryption used in the blockroom work. But most importantly, what interests users is the price of a specific crypto currency and the possibility of mining.

True and just because of altcoins paired with Bitcoin it's doesn't mean it should always following Bitcoin trends , just in the most case it is due some altcoin has no conventional currency pair , that's why it follows.
But when there's a pair to usd or euro etc sometimes it dropped due the altcoin stay stronger at conventional currency pair rather than to Bitcoin pair , as for the result it's not always.

Honestly, everything in the market  is related to the development of Bitcoin, so when it will rise, then the majority of cryptocurrencies will increase too and the same thing happens when the opposite is achieved . Furthermore, the most of crypto are the followers of Bitcoin and for example, when we saw the last crisis in Bitcoin ( when their price dropped to $ 7000 and $ 6000 ), then all the market ( like, Ripple, Ethereum, Cardano ...)  decreased with a huge value and this is an expected thing.
In my opinion,  this is  the main reason the relation between Bitcoin and Altcoin's :
( selling Altcoin + buying Bitcoin ) & ( buying Bitcoin + selling Altcoin ) = Equilibrium

The same question that comes to my mind. What you mentioned is something I am observing. What exactly is the relationship of bitcoin and altcoin seen from the price so that altcoin is seen as the tail of bitcoin. I think maybe it's connected because of the demand and the sale of both. When bitcoin prices are high, many investors are trying to invest in altcoin to take advantage of the situation.

When the transaction volume for bitcoin decreases then that also means that the amount of bitcoin being used for trading has decrease and makes the prices of altcoins drop

The price of altcoins in this market always depends on the Bitcoin price is understandable because Bitcoin is currently the number 1 market as well as the highest exchange rate in the market. Thus the exchange rate of the entire cryptos will depend on Bitcoin rates. If the exchange rate of BTC decreases, altcoins increase and altcoins increase, BTC will decrease.

I think altcoin price following bitcoin price because bitcoin have biggest market cap in the market and when bitcoin price drop, many investor will worry about altcoin and start to selling too. Investor always make bitcoin as bencmark in cryptomarket and I think thats affecting on altcoin

it is a very easy question to answer. as we know, bitcoin is the parent of altcoin, so the benchmark of altcoin prices is bitcoin. if bitcoin prices are in trouble, so auto altcoin prices will also be problematic,  vice versa.

Virtuallly because btc is the king of crypto and it sets the trajectory or pace for other cryptos to to follow. Look forward to a day alts price wont have to be dependent on btc but it obvious it is not now.

Indeed it is a strange behavior, because normally when one asset rises, the others have to go down with respect to the one that rises. Perhaps its one of the many mysteries of crypto currencies.

Undoubtedly, by and large, altcoin's depend on the "big daddy" of BTC, although it happens quite the contrary, as they said earlier <Bitcoin is sold for purchase Alt>. Most altcoin's I believe is also dependent on Ethereum. I do not have enough experience to say for sure, I only delve into the cryptocurrency market every day and am glad to learn to understand it. I believe that altcoins and bitcoin are correlated with the other where Bitcoin is the baseline for every market movement in the crypto world and I believe that my observation is near from the actual situation. BTC is the first currency of crypto. Enjoys wide popularity with a huge margin. Therefore, it has an advantage in the market, as the price of BTC increases, so does the cost of many other coins.

Not all altcoins, but if you imagine that there are no significant events for given altcoin, it's very likely its price will follow bitcoin movement. It's natural because mostly the updates on bitcoin regulation etc directly apply to altcoins either

Bitcoin can never be compared to Alts because it is the mother coin, the pioneer coin well known globally by both users and non users, including investors/traders knowledgeable about it or not. I feel the dump of Bitcoin at its bearish period are in most cases lead to the boom of some Alts at an advantage then, where the price shall increase, while on the other hand, the boom of Bitcoin at probably the bullish period leads to the fall in value of some Alts or high following suit the trend of the Bitcoin hike.

Why the heck is their price so closely connected despite being so fundamentally different?

They do. I have answered a similar topic regarding this one and justified the answer using this example:

" Let us take ETH for instance. If you want to buy/sell ETH in BTC Market (ETH/BTC), the price is in terms of BTC (i.e. 1 ETH = 0.1 BTC). So if the value of 0.1 BTC now is $700 then 1 ETH = $700, after a day the value of 0.1 BTC went down to $600 then the value of 1 ETH would be $600 as well (saying that the conversion factor of 1 ETH = 0.1 BTC does not change). "

We often experience this when the price is dropping than when the price is increasing. This may be because there are more transactions when the price is increasing, thus, there's much volatility. On the other hand, when the price is decreasing, there are less transactions and the price of altcoins solely depends on Bitcoin's.

Or is Bitcoin following the price of altcoins? Ethereum dropped so heavily because authorities want ico regulations. I think. So maybe altcoins (and bitcoin) follow Ethereum. If Ethereum drops, people buy it because the price is better. And what do they buy it with? With the selling of other coins. This is how the whole market dips when Ethereum makes huge drops.

So at the end as bitcoin is the biggest out there it provides the confidence in the market.
because every bit of Bitcoin is improving, Altcoin is trying to keep up with the increase in order to be a considerable price. so that where Bitcoin is improving Altcoin will try to keep abreast of its development in order to be able to compete and be able to compete well with Bitcoin in the future.

I also agree with you. Bitcoin is the coin first appeared on the cryptocurrency market. The price of bitcoin is always the highest in the market. But today, the need for human development is increasing and the altcoin born to meet that. Bitcoin and altcoin interact with each other. As bitcoin increases or decreases, other co-altcos will also affect bticoin. Because bitcoin is the strongest coin on the market for cryptocurrency.

Yes they do. If you'll analyze the graphs of altcoins and of Bitcoin, you can see major similarities. Even though they are not accurately parallel, the pattern is there. The reason for this is that the altcoins are priced based from Bitcoin and not from fiat. With the direct connection of altcoins to Bitcoin, whatever the trend of Bitcoin, altcoins follows.

Because bitcoin is the leader of the entire cryptocurrency market.
The move from bitcoin shows confidence in the entire cryptocurrency market.
Bitcoin is different from the conventional currency seen from its volatility. If the conventional currency is backed up by the state, then Bitcoin is not backed up by anyone. Bitcoin is backed up by itself, just as gold is not determined by anyone.
Pure Bitcoin value is influenced by demand and supply.
Many factors affecting demand and supply include: the policy of a country to bitcoin, the ups and downs of the investment climate, the psychological condition of bitcoin business people, news and so on.
While the questions agan why-why, more to the psychology of the culprit.
That's my boss

Bitcoin is the primary intermediary for exchange purchases. The liquidity of bitcoin is quite high. So, the market went down, people selling altcoins out bitcoin and out dollars, causing altcoins prices to fall under Bitcoin. As bitcoins increase, people are also selling altcoins to bitcoins that also lower the price of altcoins. So, just when Bitcoin sideway, altcoin grows back.

Title: Re: Why Altcoin prices often follow Bitcoin price

there are a couple things to consider:

- When you look at coinmarketcap, the prices you see are actually what the price of the coin is in btc, then that btc value is converted to usd based on the going rate of btc.
So, if Altcoin #1 costs. .001 btc, and then price of btc is $100, then Altcoin #1 will display as $1.  Is the price of btc goes up to $1000, and Altcoin #1 still costs .001 btc, then naturally it will increase to $100. So, most coins go up just based off of the value of btc going up.

- Sometimes an altcoin loses value even when btc goes up because it's price per btc has gone down.  For example, Altcoin #1 cost .001 btc.  But the price dropped to .0001 the next week.  Even if the value of btc goes up, on coinmarketcap, it will display as Altocin #1 going down in value.

- Coinmarketcap is an average of the going rate for each coin/token.  It gathers data from exchanges and averages it out.  So prices are not entirely accurate.

- The reason why btc is used to calculate value is because it is the only coin that can be widely traded for fiat (buy and sell it using real money).  So it has the most reliable indicator of $usd price because the data is wide and varied.  however, it is still somewhat innacurate because it does not include direct p2p trades from places like localbitcoins.com

This is all tied up by one simple reason, the bitcoin is the currency in the entire cryptocurrency market, Altcoin is all paired with bitcoin in their trade pairs which is the reason why bitcoin prices affect the price of altcoin so much, When the transaction volume for bitcoin decreases then it also means that the amount of bitcoin used for trading has decreased and the price of altcoin down.

I think it's not always that way, because recently Bitcoin went up quite big but altcoin did not keep up with a comparable ratio. But the price will always have a correlation, because many investors who buy only wait when global market capitalization increases. And with the magnitude of Bitcoin dominance, I think the global market will be determined by the performance of Bitcoin.

That's because everyone is waiting. When Bitcoin rises, then we will start buying Bitcoin. Some buy with altcoins, and altcoin prices will be cheaper while Bitcoin rises. If this lasts long enough, many investors will begin to be interested in buying altcoins, and a lot of fiat money starts to enter, and in general all prices will increase.

Some altcoins do not base on BTC. They base on USD. USD is easier than BTC. And when the projects is successful, their price do not base on BTC anymore.

In my opinion, technology and prices do have an effect, but maybe they are two different things.
Crypto will always be determined by consensus, although one of the variables is technology.
When Bitcoin is pumped, many fiats enter because they expect the market to be bullish.

this is the difference from bitcoin and altcoin. the influence of bitcoin is very large on growth and decline for all altcoins that have entered the exchange. bitcoin is the first crypto and no one can be managed by anyone or country or company. This is different from altcoins, which has a team and a developer that will be very easy to manipulate.

Mostly, the altcoins will follow the Bitcoin price in the market. Only few coins that don't really depend in this first cryptocurrency. But, it makes sense because many people use this coin as the manner of transaction in buying or selling the coins.

Because bitcoin is the main coin of most currencies in the market

That is because all of the altcoins have pairings with bitcoin so whatever happens to bitcoin happens to all of the coins that are in the market, if there  is not enough trade volume on bitcoin then that means that there is not enough trade volume on the coins themselves so as the price of bitcoin goes down, so do the prices of the altcoins go down.

The digital market is actively developing, and the alternative monetary units that are directly involved in the process of its formation show significant progress. Over time, they occupy certain niches, which in turn becomes the main reason for changing the trend of their pricing. Thus, these crypto-currencies are becoming more recognizable, which increases the interest of traders to them, and also weakens their dependence on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin price movements are generally able to influence Altcoin prices. The relationship is not always predictable, but there are some of the most common trends.
In simple terms, there are several trends that have historically occurred between Bitcoin and Altcoins. However, it should be noted that every event in the future is not necessarily the same as the conditions in the past, and anything can happen.

In general, the main currency in the crypto market is Bitcoin. Despite fiat currency,
Ethereum, and Tether are also often used, but Bitcoin is the main currency. In other words, Altcoins tend to be used to fund Bitcoin running, and Bitcoin tends to fund Alt operations. Given this relationship, the movement of Bitcoin prices tends to have an influence on the price of Altcoins.

In short, Bitcoin is the economic center of all crypto currency markets. Because the BTC trading partner is on every exchange, the influence of Bitcoin on Altcoins will always be there. So, the correlation is only centered when people start taking profits or cutting losses in Bitcoin, by choosing Altcoins or Fiat (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.) when certain conditions, and vice versa.

At the point when the cost of Bitcoin drops, an alt coin turns out to be more significant because of the relationship of it merits being ascertained in Bitcoin. In the event that you thought of an alt coin's cost continuing as before when Bitcoin drops, you will see that if for instance BTC dropped from 10,000 to 5,000 that the alt coins BTC esteem goes very high. It's then gainful to purchase once more into BTC. You could possibly twofold benefits along these lines.

I'm not sure, maybe because Bitcoin has a higher market volume, demand , popularity and large community. Bitcoin leads the rest of the cryptos when it comes to genral aspect which might put Bitcoin at yhe top. As we can observe last year, other cryptos are dependent with the market value of Bitcoin. Yes, most of the time, the foundation is what determines how the rest of the building will hold or will I say the root of a tree which in this case is more like bitcoin is what determines how the branches are going to sprout.

Bitcoin is the first and the most supported cryptocurrency in the space and altcoins are just certainly a way for whale investors to make more money off those who are looking to invest in quantity because they missed the bitcoin train. In that case, the altcoin market since it is tied to bitcoin market in terms of trading pair will always have a major effect on their prices.

Not every time as there could still be some exceptions somehow. At least, we have seen a lot of altcoins resisting such movements in the case where bitcoin is not bringing a favorable condition for them. For instance, doge really gave a huge push recently, despite the market tending to move down hugely but still tried to test the previous high few months back. Generally though, we all know that altcoins are just some sort of distraction from the real deal and as long as they will keep being there, they will certainly be tied to the movement of bitcoin.

A look at coinmarketcap shows that market cap and volume for bitcoin versus other cryptocurrencies is lot more than the altcoins. Secondly, most trading pairs (altcoin/bitcoin) are with bitcoin. bitcoin being the first cryptocurrency, has attracted a lot of crypto participants. So, a lot revolve round BITCOIN. The answer is simple and easy, so if Bitcoin is expensive then Altcoins is expensive because the trading pair on the Exchange always follows Bitcoin.
If Altcoins are cheap and Bitcoin is expensive then there will be a lot of people who continue to raise the price of Bitcoin.

Altcoin follow the movement of Bitcoin price because they are depend to it, when BTC price goes down the altcoins is also goes down abd when it up they do the same because many people are want Bitcoin, so they take that opportunity to earn by Bitcoin. The demand of people into bitcoin is growing so the reason it goes up its price, and since Altcoin want to beat the bitcoin then will going to increase its price .

Bitcoin which became the benchmark value of many other coins are very capable to make it as a valuable coin. it makes Altcoin follow every motion and developments owned Bitcoin. starting from price to growth that occurs in each period that occurs.

Basically, bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency and it will always be the main reason why a lot of people engaged on this kind of investments. Even if there are more new crypto coins coming and have a potential to become more popular, still it can't surpass bitcoin and it will be always on the top.

Because Bitcoin manages a large part of the entire capitalization. And if most of the market falls, then the rest of the chain reaction reacts.

I think that most altcoins are tied to the price of ETH, not to BTC, ETH is the fundamental basis of most altcoins, therefore it serves as a reserve currency.

At first, I was also confused when the price of bitcoin dropped and altcoin prices also fell.
I think Bitcoin has a big influence on the price of Cryptocurrency in the market.
No wonder the prices of Bitcoin and Altcoin are interrelated because Bitcoin is the oldest coin that appears in the Cryptocurrency market so that Bitcoin is used as a reference price for other altcoins.
This is why Altcoin prices always follow the price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a leader in the investment market and will always remain with them. Other coins will always be equal to its price and try to outrun it.

The major coin, here is only bitcoin and then in years past by they promoted another coin to establiah near future so as bitcoin rises then ethereum also shine in exploding in market.

Because Bitcoin still is safe bet for most of the people in crypto. Most of us think about profits in terms of BTC not fiat. Trades are paired again BTC, and not directly USD in most of the exchanges.

Market participants no longer regard bitcoin as a trial material, it is a financial asset, volatile, complex, but quite realistic for many investors.

Bitcoin is the first coin and the most valuable coin. All of the altcoins have trading pairs with bitcoin and bitcoin is used to purchase the coins. Since they are traded with bitcoin then if the price and volume being transacted goes down, that means the volume being transacted on the coins with bitcoin goes down so the coins follow the downtrend of bitcoin

because bitcoin is the first coin in the world of cryptocurrency and all other coins if you want to buy or sell it must be in the form of bitcoin which causes the price to always follow bitcoin. because they are very dependent on bitcoin.

The price is connected only with the fact that in difficult times people save their money in Bitcoin which is less volatile due to the larger capitalization. Bitcoin is also an indicator of overall market growth and starts growing first.

As we all know that bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency, and will always be, so all other altcoin will continuing follow bitcoin...

That's right, the father of altcoin is bitcoin, so the father will increase or decrease, then the child will follow, but later will also have some improvements and better father as everyone is seeing.

Because maybe bitcoin is the parent of all coins, maybe that's one of the reasons, if the price of bitcoin rises, the coin price usually follows it, and vice versa, it's no wonder that altcoin follows the price of bitcoin

For everything there is a base where the other things can be compared and bitcoin is the one which has a high level and other coins are compared with it the reason is the people who want to buy they must poses bitcoin in their wallet for investment and it is true that when bitcoin price rise other coins will also rise.

That is understandable, as most of the exchange or OTC support sites now support the conversion of Bitcoin into cash, which is what most traders trade. So the altcoin is actually only a pump and dump

Maybe you mentioned is the influence of the market, if it is true that the market is certainly going to make altcoin pump and dump. not because of the influence of the bitcoin. actually the altcoin set up their own pump, if altcoin has a concept that runs their certainly has a chance to pump does not need to wait for bitcoin or market-moving. didn't you also never seen altcoin pump on when bitcoin down?

Bitcoin is the mother of all altcoins so the kids following the mother's way upward trend or downward trend. It is obvious that the buyer and seller uses Bitcoin to purchase or sell their coin so it is locked like a chain reaction.

I also notice that altcoin or any other coins even eth follows the price direction of bitcoin. I wonder why then later on as I've read in threads some says it is because bitcoin is the leader so the eth and alts follows bitcoin, something like the alt and eth depends or is base to bitcoin. Another, others said that alts came from bitcon.

the main reason altcoin always follows the price of bitcoin is because bitcoin is still believed to be the best coin and users do almost all pairs of sales and purchase of coins against bitcoin, this causes every day the bitcoin trading volume continues to increase because every transaction bids bitcoin as a transaction pair.
but now on many exchanges ETH and USDT have been added as other options for pairing every coin you have even though the trading volume is still below from BTC

I think this term is very popular in crypto so I'm sure there must be many people who know it.
yes, although it's hard to explain with certainty, but because Bitcoin is the parent of altcoin and is the biggest volume coin in crypto, it's not surprising that the price of Bitcoin affects the value of Atcoin.

All altcoins are traded through Bitcoin or Ethereum. There is no direct price for dollars to altcoins. That is why the price of altcoins depends on the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Basically, altcoin and every coin in crypto only have one guideline, he is the king of crypto and also the inventor of crypto. The ability in bitcoin technology cannot be defeated by any coin. So, the decline and increase in the price of bitcoin will have a pretty fast impact on all crypto coins.

It all depends on how investors treat this or that asset. They look at the growth of Bitcoin and get money from altcoins, which is why Bitcoin is growing even stronger, and altcoins are falling.

Because Bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency. It is Bitcoin that sets the trend. Where the price of Bitcoin goes, the price of the remaining coins will go there.

most of every exchange market certainly believes that bitcoin is the main source of exchange for converting other types of altcoins, therefore, bitcoin is the best type of coin that has very valuable value so all altcoins must always follow the price movements of bitcoin

It is because of the trading pairs, when you are looking at the trading tables you can see that all of the altcoins have their trading pairs with bitcoin which means if the volume of bitcoin being traded goes down then the volume of the altcoins that are being traded goes down and that is how they follow the price of bitcoin, it is really simple

Not every altcoin is following the Bitcoin price, but 90 percent do. It is happening because all the investors are afraid of investing in altcoins and are keeping their funds only in Bitcoins. When the green market starts, things will change.

Altcoin price is a subject to high volatility just like the Bitcoin's price. Once we have a good price backing system in place, then we can see a good stabilization. We need a project like Gigzi to solve this issue. Once we have the ecosystem in place, price volatility will decrease. Because, this project is looking for backing crypto price with precious metals, making it more stable in the long run. This way, digital assets will not follow Bitcoin price.

Being a pioneer and the number one cryptocurrency,it is normal that the market prices will rely on what bitcoin’s performing, because this is the most popular coin and this can dictate the flow of market, what we need to have is the good altcoins, those legits and not the shit ones whos being dumped incase the dev dont get good profit

the whole idea is that most people hodl bitcoin and it is the profits from bitcoins that they use to invest in altcoins. Now when the price of bitcoins starts falling, everyone looks for a way to keep their coins stable without losing their usd value equivalent. This tension is also extended to the altcoins with the fear that they might also fall making everyone to change to a stable coin and then all crypto start seeing a blood bathed market.

Cryptocurrency really repeats bitcoin price movements and this is due to the high level of bitcoin capitalization. This circumstance allows Bitcoin to exercise price dominance over other types of cryptocurrency. I personally do not like it at all. A decentralized cryptocurrency, I think, does not need a price dictate. It seems to me that with time the situation will change and the decentralized cryptocurrency will gain decentralization in this matter too.

Because of the binding pairs of bitcoin-altcoins.  Because of this, not often, but always after the fall of Bitcoin immediately go down and the rest of the coins!
