Could bitcoin outdo investing/trading in stocks??

there is no need to try to outdo it, bitcoin will thanks to the regulations count as one of the stocks trading assets pretty soon. Then we should see a huge price boost of crypto

So far cryptocurrency has shown us that it is way faster than stock market. Since everything moves fast (mostly because of speculation in the space) I do believe it is outdoing the stock market right now. We are even seeing increased number of ICOs that offer some kind of shares which tells us that some part of stock market is coming to crypto in different shape as they have now token/coin with shares. Fundamental stays the same but platform and way we interact with it changes over time. If you look at how high gain crypto had last year compared to stock market you could get a lot higher rates by trading crypto, depends on what type of person you are really.

Both are some sort of speculation and somewhere in the air where I find crypto to be more riskier.

I dont really understand what you mean by outdo.  Theres nothing to outdo, theyr both different types of investments and as long as there is money to be made investors will flock to them and try to make their money.  I think both the crypto market and the stock market will exist side by side and people will continue to trade in both.

If you are talking about gains then of course Bitcoin can outdo traditional markets. But if you are discussing outdo in terms of reaching a higher market capitalization well then I am not 100% sure anymore. It could happen but a lot of things would have to go right in the next 5 years in order for it to do so.

We must stop comparing bitcoin with the regular stock trading. It has been there for years and it has gained more investors and still kicking until today. Most of the stock traders are very familiar now with bitcoin and they are also getting in for the same markets so the same people are trading for both markets.

Even though I don't like to compare between traditional stock market and crypto market, but to answer your question, my response is NO! Crypto market can't outdo traditional stock market in terms of market capitalisation.

The main reason is the legality. Traditional stock markets are strictly centralized and while listing a company, the stock exchange conducts a very stringent due diligence to make sure investors are getting their value for money. Which certainly increases the credibility of the exchange among investors. Also legality plays a big role in getting investor's money flown into that traditional exchanges.

On the other hand, crypto market is barely recognized by the governments. We still don't have proper framework to invest in crypto market in majority of the countries. There are lot of gaps in the process and procedures. That is the reason why we don't see institiutional money inflow in crypto exchanges. Unless the crypto exchanges are recognized by governments and a proper framework in place, things won't change.

So I personally don't think crypto exchange will not be able to beat traditional exchanges in another 25 years at least.

Bitcoin and altcoins are currencies that would have value if people use them for exchange payment of real things. Stocks are real things mostly that will always have values. this is a simple theory that proves stocks will never be outdone by any currencies.

If to be a stock investment I do not think it's possible because bitcoin is not a stock asset but rather like a physical investment commodity like a precious metal but in digital form, but a club of bitcoin owners then form a company in bitcoin mining, then they can sell the mining company's stock to the market capital

if you mean by outdo is gaining profits, then yes... bitcoin can give you way higher % profits than trading stocks
but you must remember, 8) with higher potential gain there will always higher risk involved

In my opinion bitcoin is an investment for me and I get various advantages in bitcoin because I can at any time take my money that I invest without any finalty charge applied by the bank if we take our investment in the period that is not in agreement and I also not charged any other fees in each month so I can take my investment as I pleased I just put my bitcoin results that have in my wallet and put the password in a safe place so that others do not know the existence of my password

Even though stock markets are regulated by governments still people can lose money if they invest in some penny stocks and sometimes due to scams investors can easily lose a lot of money in stock market. Yes, compared to bitcoin it is slightly better.

But if you can take more risk then you got a better chance of making a better profit in bitcoins than from stock market. So don't invest all your money in cryptos instead around 5% of your money put in cryptos to take a risk for making a good profit over the time.

if by "outdo" you mean outperform then yes bitcoin can and has been and also will be outperforming any other market not just stocks market because it is a new growing technology with increasing adoption. this means the price of this limited supply currency is going to rise for more years and from time to time this rise will be fast and big like last year which means it will outperform many other markets.

You should be specific with your question, outdo in what way? If we are talking about Bitcoin surpassing the market capitalization of stock market, in my opinion it is possible because Bitcoin is a global market while there lots of different stock market that is only limited on a specific country on where it operates, so there's a chance that Bitcoin will outdo some of those stock market. But if we compare the market capitalization of the largest stock market in the world which is New York Stock Exchange that currently has $19 trillion (if I'm not mistaken) market cap to Bitcoin's market cap which is only $156 billion at the moment, it is still way to far for Bitcoin to outdo stock market. But still possible.

No i don't think so.Stock market has been well established over years and it has millions of investors all over the world.More over it has been legalized by almost all the world nations while bitcoin remains legalized by just two or three nations.

Well, all I can say is when a stocks trader gets himself involve into Bitcoin, it won't be easy for him to let go. I felt the same thing because I used to trade in stocks before Bitcoin. I wanted to get all my funds back to stocks but the crypto is giving so much reason to stay and keep doing what I am doing. It became an addiction once you earn big in crypto. But I do still have some in stocks, there's always a difference between the two and volatility is number to that.

I don't think so. Entrance of one thing doesnt makes the other thing outdo from the market. Like the equities did not outdo commodities from the market and futures and derivatives did not outdo equities in similar manner even crypto won't outdo stock trading as its completely different from it. Stocks would do still continue to exist but it would be interesting to see if ICOs can completely take over IPOs because that is the only way the stock market can be brought completely down. Otherwise we are going to go hand in hand for a lot more time.

I agree with you with ICO part of the future. It give us many opportunities to earn bitcoin for free. But not all of them are honest and truthful.

A lot of people are calling bitcoin / crypto a bubble. Well right now the stock market looks like a bubble.  Most stocks are overpriced considering their profit earning ratio and the entire market has been on a bull run the last 10 years.  A few stock investors I know that don't touch crypto are buying gold in anticipation of the stock market crash.

I wouldn't say that investing in Bitcoin and altcoins would "outdo" investing in the stock market, but cryptocurrency has proven to be a lot more volatile and explosive if you're talking about seeing quick changes or returns. There are advantages and disadvantages to investing in both markets. They are different beasts and aren't perfectly comparable.

People have easily lost 2x more on the crypto markets than what they've made their entire lives in the stock market. Volatility is really a double edged sword. Furthermore, I think there's a lot more resources to research before you invest in stocks. Cryptos aren't necessarily the same thing. The stock market's definitely the safer bet, but the crypto market's the more explosive one.

By outdo, do you mean outperform?
It is growing very fast. To compare to the stock market, its way faster. Very soon I believe we will see a bigger trading volumes in crypto market than the stock market. Right now the volatility is too high that many people are still afraid when they put their money into the market.

bitcoin is based on decentralized blockchain technology. no one can track and monitor it. it is more  risky then stockmarket .if you forgot ur private key thenu never can recover ur wallet so u have to forget assets/investment.  but stock market is regulated  by government. there is some safety by government but  people can aslo loose money if then invested in penny stocks.

Bitcoin investment is more profitable than the stock market. Investment in stocks market is mostly limited to national level.You can lose money in the stock market, but you will never lose money by investing in bitcoin. If the price drops, you can wait.But,Both having volatility and risk factor

I agree with this. The stock market is fully regulated and less volatile with prices controlled by political moves while this is not the case for Bitcoin. At the same time, they're both risky to invest but overall to me Bitcoin brings better rewards.

For me Bitcoin is the good one to invest rather than the stock market.   When we have an overall look about Bitcoin and stock market we feel some type of similarities towards Bitcoin market and stock market .The stock market raised to a great height at the same time also Bitcoin price also increased but at the same time both markets plunged down with similarity case these two markets are vastly different  In stock market investment profit is a slow process and will take few years where as in Bitcoin the process of making profit is fast .

If you mean is to replace Bitcoin with stock market I think it will not happen because stock market is a different market compared to cryptocurrency. But stock market can adopt cryptocurrency if the government will allow cryptocurrency to be one of the currency base in stock market. 

There is huge difference between bitcoin and stock market, i.e the bitcoin has no legal permission or protection by the government but the stock market should fallow the rules and regulation of government.

One of the things that actually could push crypto to new ATHs could be crash of stock markets.

Don't assume that no one can ever buy bitcoin as a whole. There are rich people out there that are just watching the market and ready to get in if they think that the market has been dropping for quite awhile.

No, I think it's too far away if we talk about this. Bitcoin is only a currency but stock market is industrial that highly related to country economy too. If we talk about stock exchanges it's mean we will discuss about big scope of economics that influence the prosperity of any country. Till now bitcoin only used by a small percentage of people in the world and even only slightly influence the world economy. But I am sure that people will not ise fiat to trading/investing in stocks in the future but they will use gold "maybe the gold is gold.2.0(bitcoin)".

In different ways you can say that bitcoin is outdo in investing or trading in stock market. However, I think its up to you where you will do you investing and trading. If you a good and wise trader you can choose both of them but in terms of huge capital and businesses you will choose stock market.

Only if you understand the different between the stock market and crypto exchange market. traditional stock market is regulated by the government and all asset are back up with solid project. In the case of crypto, the market is unregulated and that is the reason while you see so many useless coin being listed on many crypto exchange platform. exchange platform are privately own and managed while stock exchange are own and regulated by the government so I see no reason while any one will overdo the other because the basis in which they operate is holistically different.

Bitcoin is massive and is becoming the next big thing this century but I do not believe it will be bigger than the stock market for now. May be as time goes on when the adoption of the cryptocurrency becomes more then we can be thinking of the crypto taking over from the stock exchange. The cryptocurrency needs more people to buy into it and the user base increased. One thing with the cryptocurrency including bitcoin is that you can not predict them so anything can happen and it will over take the stock exchange. Time will tell.

Bitcoin is just an alternative invesment asset for investors. Expecting from people not to invest on other assets is not reasonable. Simply comparing bitcoin with traditional stock market is also not right. Because background and dynamics of each other is not the same. Most of the traditional traders are becoming familiar with bitcoin and some of them serously consider to invest on crypto market. But it does not mean they suddenly stop trading in traditional markets. Crypto market and stock market will coexist and people will continue to trade in both.

Agree that we can make much more profit than other source of income, even i do not try to invest in stock market but base on the statement of others 100% in crypto you will generate high income but this is much risky it was due that investors nothing hold just a key of each wallet that they put their money. And i think we need to me more careful for this form of investment.

I think that the price of Bitcoin is dependent on the situation on the stock market. If there is a massive collapse of markets in the world, this can not but affect Bitcoin.
