Title: BitCoin Google Bomb, "Gold" --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin Post by: winnetou on August 05, 2011, 10:17:13 AM Quote The terms Google bomb and Googlewashing refer to practices, such as creating large numbers of links, that cause a web page to have a high ranking for searches on unrelated or off topic keyword phases, often for comical or satirical purposes. In contrast, search engine optimization is the practice of improving the search engine listings of web pages for relevant search terms. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb How about placing a google bomb for BitCoin, I suggest "Gold" --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin Some "google bombers" with experience here? It would be a great promotion for BitCoin. Just imagine: everyone who googles "gold" will get to know of BitCoin! The infamous googlebomb example was linking to GW Bush for 'miserable failure' <- notice they didn't choose simply 'failure' as it was far too generic to overcome the google algorithm. |
