Mainstream articles like this, even if full of factual inaccuracies, are spreading the meme worldwide that this is the future and fiat is dying.

2014 is going to be a phenomenal year for Bitcoin!

edit: two guardian articles in one day, plus its own category in the technology section

The Guardian is hugely respected and followed assiduously by the media, particularly in the BBC.

It's a balanced and pretty accurate article - hedges its bets a little but basically gives it a credible look and sort says 'this may well be the future of money'

I think it's good for BTCitcoin...

Might help the battle to keep the bears in their caves until the noob money cavalry comes, at least ;)

Overall this was a good article... One of the best articles in the most-read media ever.

I loved how he approached the issue from all angles... It will give everyone something to think about.

Best of all, he mentioned all of the positive things that officials like benny-boy and the chicago fed said about cryptocurrency. Very bullish.

Solex is right; 2014 is going to be incredible for bitcoin. The ATMs and projects like dark wallet are going to open it up to so many people that don't have access now. And then surely some country somewhere will have another Cyprus situation or worse... Japan, India, and a few parts of Europe are racing there now. I believe this is completely accurate:

I don't see anyone making light of this news. Everyone who mentioned something about the scale of this news said it was very big news indeed. How did you manage to come to this conclusion?

The Graun publishes specific editions for the UK, US and Aus with high, if varying levels of traffic ...I've lived in all three countries and the most parochial with regard to press outlets is the US, which proportionately is born out by the levels of traffic for the US edition - the biggest proportion of users here are from the US.

So, it may be a lazy assumption but I imagine most users here are not aware of just what a big deal a leading story on their sites is.

I apologise if my comment causes you any offence.
