We hate to say this but we have a very very bad news for you.

Last week, we had a bug with RITO coin, which you can find the details here. It resulted in more than 4 million RITO coins lost from our hot wallet. We have to use the BTC funds to compensate our RITO users for the lost coins.

We are very sorry to say this, but the bug leads us to decide to close down MoonDEX exchange, unfortunately. It is certainly not the only cause though. The falling BTC price is the major factor. Our current BTC income and funds are no longer viable for us to pay the bills in about a month time. We tried to make a taking-over deal to keep MoonDEX alive, but it was not successful. Crypto winter is hard for everyone. The RITO bug is the last straw which breaks the camel’s back…

So we will close MoonDEX exchange down on 16th December 2018.

During this closing down period, there will be email support only. Please send your support questions and quote your userId in English to dev@moondex.org . We aim to reply to your email in 24 hours. All the other communication channels will be closed.

For coins holders other than RITO:

All of your funds are safe. Please cancel your orders and withdraw your funds before 23:59:59 15th December 2018 UTC.

For RITO coins holders, we are very sorry that this will be more complex and we will try our best to compensate you.

We will refund the RITO coins holders in RITO first. Once we run out of the RITO to send back, we will send out BTC at 15 sats BTC per RITO(the latest price). This may not be the target sell price in your minds. But we hope you can understand that this is the best we can do…

* There are currently two devs in the team and some helpers. They are both on Discord. @MoonDEX is the official account.

* We are working on the MVP of the exchange and doing fundraising at the moment. We will expand the team once we got enough funding.

* MoonDEX will not be running on it's own public chain. It is CryptoBridge on masternodes, if it makes it easier to understand. It will be much faster than CryptoBridge because of the massive amount of masernodes running globally.

Well, after watching for 2 weeks I have come to a conclusion that this is a scam coin.  First off if you want to purchase the coin, you have to fill out a KYC.  Here is the link to check out what they want.  They do want your passport and license information.  https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfcp7OQjDMgXW7Om9Ssf1PCLEwjazHnS9yd7ZiDrxNMR4xRdw/viewform   If you go this option, I hope you don't have your identity stolen by them.  Next they claim they are a company and have a base operations in the UK, but they will not disclose any information about their company, name, address, register, etc.  Nothing.  They want your personal information, but they get upset and angry when someone asks for their credentials.  "We won't release at this time".  If you ask for any screenshots of their DEX that they are building (2 programmers allegedly), they say "if" they are available in the future.  I guess hitting printscreen is hard.  Also they get a angry if pressed why can't people see a screenshot, when supposedly its a month away.  This project is really just one guy in his basement and one mod.  The main dev answers the questions while mod does whatever.  Did not know if you are creating a DEX, that you have so much free time sitting in discord all day.  Oh, and I did witness a person get banned for saying just one word "rip"  "I will have to ban you from the server. Asking questions is fine. But this is over the line."  So, keep your identity safe and stay away from this scam.

Read about the project. I see MoonDEX as a platform for peer-to-peer exchange with a fast, secure and easy-to-use interface. I think it might need something more special to be able to compete with other exchange platforms?

Yes, we are watching the issues closely and had some theories ourselves. We talked to some of the users affected and looked at their duplicated transactions as well.

We currently don't think it is RVN's wallet issue as the same problem didn't happen for the other exchanges.

I don't think we have the same idea. IFX team is trying to build a platform, like Ethereum. The DEX is their demo of what you can do with their platform.

MoonDEX is only focused on one thing, the cryptocurrency exchange, like Binance.

I dont know man, current main focus is DEX, dex based on MN like your project, but started way longer.

I installed MN1 on server 1 which worked perfect.
Today I installed MN2 with a second line in the config file. Unfortunately its takes(wallets masternodes tab) the last ip for all MN's.So the last MN (MN2) runs and the other not anymore. I synced the wallet after saving config file. when deleting the MN2 from the config file everything is woring perfectly again Does anyone know what is the problem?

I was quite sceptical when this coin was first announced but so far the team has delivered all items on the roadmap. I can't wait until we have masternodes running the DEX since this will be a game changer, especially the part where masternodes will get a share from exchange profits.

Are there any plans to change the collateral amount needed for Masternodes?  I feel part of the reason the value is struggling so much is because way too many people may be running nodes only to sell the rewards daily or weekly.  Drastically increasing the number of coins needed would also save on resources like VPS costs

Always the same shit in Crypto, bugs or hacks. Not blaming Moondex as I know these things happen. Its just annoying this kind of thing keeps happening.
Crypto doesn't seem to be in a good place right now and I dont see that changing any time soon sadly.
