Title: Open-air cases for ASICMiner backplane and blades
Post by: Spotswood on November 26, 2013, 06:20:52 AM
For Sale - Open air cases for ASICMiner backplane and blades.

As pictured, the case is $90 (plus shipping from NH, US).  PayPal only.

Subtract $12.50 if you only want one support beam.  Subtract $18 if you don't want the twelve metal tabs to attach fans (3x 120mm or 2x 140/200mm) to the case.  +$5 for extra tall posts for stacking.

The top corners of the blades are secured to the case via custom plastic brackets.

Two posts with rubber bumpers help secure the PSU.

Cool, I sent you an email. Just forgot to ask about that. Regards to my email, I only need the blade tabs for one side. My blade only has a hole on one side for mounting. Guess they wanted to save that extra .50  :D

Why are you not accepting BTC for these?  ???

What's the turnaround time on these?  And I second the "why not take BTC" question.  :)

I'd rather pay fiat.  I don't want to be the guy that paid thousands of BTC for a pizza then a couple years later missed out on being a millionaire.

Got mine in yesterday and it looks great. With the fans in a push pool configuration, I can actually touch the asic chip's now.

Hmm, I wondered if you could plug fans into the asicminer blade raw terminals. I guess you can. It's unfortunate that you only have 4 blades though. Seems like a waste of an open air case :/

I would space the blades apart till you get more blades.

What fans were those? Link please.

I myself had planned on using the screw terminals by the PS connection to feed fans.

Got the fans on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/270964546597?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I was originally going to use the terminals by the power supply but had a change of heart when putting it together. The fans all together are right at 1 amp, I will probably move it to the terminals later once I get some more heat shrink tubing.

The spacing works out perfectly keeping them cool, if I don't get more blades next month I'll space them out some.

It is sad I only have 4 blades right now, you can send me a few, lol

I noticed the blade being tilted a little after I took the picture, it has been fixed.

I have to say, I love this case, all 6 fans running is nice and quiet, no more box fan keeping them cool.

I spaced out the blades today, I'll mess with the power for the fans later.
