It's better to post legit projects than scams because you will see more scam (or useless) projects than legit or with a good idea. Just remember, about 90%+ projects are either scams or some useless BS. Choose carefully, even seemingly legit project can turn out to be a scam.

Unfortunately there are so many well-written white papers, well designed web sites and  it is very hard to find out scam up to the end of ICO. I agree that it would be better to post legit projects, or a t least projects which look like "legit" at the moment.

Despite taking all the precaution, but you can't detect scam ICOs only after it occurs.
Those who run these campaigns are often smart people and willing to pay a lot for profit.
The best way is to look carefully for the developers and projects they have developed.
For this list, visit the Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) section on an ongoing basis

As cryptoenthused said, it's better to focus on the positive seeing as there are more than enough scams to go around. There is a website that is slowly coming together called http://cryptoshib.com/ico-ratings/  they are aiming to be the hub for ICO reviews/comparisons and bounty/airdrop reviews. Keep up with them; they seem like a good solid project.

It is quite difficult to know some ico is a scam. You'd better ask to create a legit ico list instead of a scam. Why did you ask for a scam ico list? Do you want to find safe? Hey dude, this forum is used to add knowledge about bitcoin or other cryptocurrency. Do research for a number of existing ico. How to check it? Read more in forums.

There are too much scam ICOs for everything to actually be listed. Try doing your own research on the ICO projects instead and decide for yourself. Though some scam ICOs even have well written whitepapers so investing in ICOs are really risky, hence I really don't recommend investing in one.

SNIP
sometimes ICO will have a high rating, later on, will turn into a scam just look Hacshard sorry I mean Hashcard ICO with 4.9 rating out of 5 with showing a working card product. turn out the card is a preloaded debit card with expiry and a fake logo of binance support on its website. sadly I'm one of the victim of this scam :-[  a High rating ICO does not guarantee a success. an ICO it's much better to check the team honesty and realistic goal of the project

Tough luck for other people here. Nowadays, new ICO scammers are now really into their white papers and websites in order for them to lure people wanting them to believe they’re legit ICOs. But sometimes, ICOs are legit but were not successful, so they’re being called as scammers as well. My advise is, check and study the product much deeper. Always keep that in mind. Even the developers.

Telling if its a scam for 100% before the end of ICO isnt right, i think.
Cause its just your guesses which might have an influence on the reader and you could be wrong

It is very difficult for many projects to know if it is not a liar after a long period of funding, rather than ahead of time.

the list is ok. but i would not rely on it. there are ico paying for good advertising.and Envion and many other ico were also well rated and people have lost $ million. trust in crypto only yourself and no other. all want only your best........................ your money.

Predicting ICOs that are upcoming will be a difficult thing to say because many of scam projects are realized after the sales; that's when no one hears from them again after taking the money

Its is really hard to tell if a project is a potential scam at the beginning of the project with a lot of projects coming up with good teams and ideas yet some end up not living up to expectations. Just do a thorough research on any one you wanna invest your money on bearing in mind you could end up making a loss

I think that 90% of the ICOs are now false. I think everyone wants to avoid being deceived. The best way is to stay away from such investment methods!

Yes, but even some rating listings are scams. I take the example of www.airdrops.io that promotes airdrops. At first it seems interesting because there is an upgrade and downgrade system for the people (with + and - buttons) But, sometimes you see a project going from +300 points to less than -100 in just 5 minutes lol There must be some fake stuff here. Also I saw project pumped from 0 to +500 in 10 minutes. this is just another scam rating where some CEOs pay and the other who dont pay get a bad rating.

For all noobs follow some simple rules not to get scammed.

1. Do NOT trust ANY of these ICO "rating" sites, id say all are scammers as they are happy to list scams with a small payment in back pocket.#

Example: Recent ICO ARRound. look at the high rating for the ICO.  99.9% this is gonig to turn out a scam. Why? For other reasons i will add to watch out for.

2. Heavily moderatted BCT page. The slightest sniff of anyone with anything other than BS praise and hype for project and they will remove post.  Again taking Arround as a example, i posted to say the ICO website page, is giving bad "Untrusted Certificate" warning, instead of replying saying "thanks we will look into it" they just remvoed my post.

3. Heavily moderated Telegram page.

4. Discounts of 30% or more are always suspicious.

5. Proof. Ask for proof of partnerships and deals, often you will be met with silence.

These are some GOLDEN RULES above to follow, but in all honesty, as people have mentioned, 99% are straight up scams, more so now than ever. My advice is to stay WELL AWAY from ALL ICO's and invest in solid Altcoins, that have a proven record.

Be safe out here!
