Post by: Marksmanio on May 02, 2018, 01:12:24 PM
Hey i noticed that my post and the activity is fully same but i saw many high level user who don't have the same activity and post. Like they have 1000 Post And 545 Activity.

But in my case this 2 things are equal. You can check my profile. Please Someone explain this matter.

I could tell you, but I would prefer it if you taught yourself.

It means that you are either posting equivalent to the amount of activity you can earn each 2 weeks ( which is 14, which means you post once a day on average),

Or, that you have posted less than 14 times in previous activity periods, which means you still have potential activity left from these periods.

Every period is two weeks, if you post once in a period, you will get the full amount of potential activity, but only 1 "real" activity for the post you made.

The potential activity just stacks up, until ofcourse you outpost the amount of potential activity you can get, ( posting more than once a day on average), which is why so many "high level users" have a higher post count than activity. ( Because they, on average, post more than once a day.)

How many two week periods you've posted in. Make one post in three periods and you have a potential activity of 42 and could become a Jnr Member. Make one post in 18 periods and you would have enough potential activity to become a Senior with 252 but in actuality you would still be a Newbie and currently only have 18 activity until you made up to 240 posts.

Is this the Answer ?

The way activity is calculated is complicated to understand, but simply put you can only get 14 activity points every two week period. This is basically all you need to know but I will explain the intricacies and technicalities of the system below to avoid any confusion:

★ You can only get 14 activity points every fortnightly period.
★ The fortnightly periods are fixed and do not start when you sign up.
★ A list of all the dates of the activity periods can be found on this spreadsheet (credit goes to jambola2 for compiling it).
★ You can technically get more than 14 activity in two weeks if you sign up between periods.
★ You only need to make at least one post in each activity period to be able to collect the activity at a later date. For instance, you could make one post in three different periods and you would then have 3 posts and 3 activity, but a potential activity of 42. Once you made the 42 posts you would then have 42 activity but no more. If you made one post in 35 different periods you would then have 35 posts and 35 activity but a potential activity of 480. That means you would be a Junior Member but if you made the full 480 posts you would instantly become a Hero Member.
★ If your post count eclipses your activity by 14 or more then you will only need to make one post in the new period to get the full 14 activity. For instance, your post count is 200 but your activity is only 28. To get another 14 activity you will only need to make one post in the new period and you will then have a total of 42 activity.

Just a quick tip: if you are going to copy someone's else entire post, at least link the source so people don't think you are plagiarizing (I hope this was not your intention, because this is also against the rule; please read the rules).

You will notice that your potential activity is high and does you will get activity points as much as you are posting until that level. However, generally, 14 activity points are given for every 14 days period, as far as he is posting at least 14 posts. If the member has posted just a couple of posts during the period of those 14 days then his potential activity is 14 but the actual activity points added to his account are just 2. The member will get those potential activity points after posting his next 12 posts. After utilising the potential activity, the member won't get any extra point for that period. This is just an example and actual numbers vary member to member.
