• Coins are 2013 0.5 BTC original Casascius physical brass Bitcoins, loaded with 0.5 BTC by Mike Caldwell
• Price: BTC 0.69 each
• Pickup Price: BTC 0.65 each
• worldwide insured shipping included (you will receive a tracking number), except to the US, we don't ship to the US any more (too many lost shipments)
• order 1 to 5 pieces (coins might be sent in batches with time in between)
• Coins have been handled with utmost care and have not been touched by our hands. We received them directly from Mike Caldwell, who makes them and use gloves to put them into ziploc bags.
• Stock is ~40 pieces, deal only valid until stock runs out (payment counts)
• You must be able to sign messages with the wallet you're paying from
• We don't ship to the US, don't order if your shipping address is in the USA.

EDIT: btw: take a look at the numbers: http://casascius.uberbills.com/. It seems the 0.5 BTC are a lot rarer than the 1 BTC. Taking into account that it currently doesn't look like Mike will be producing in the near future due to the fincen saying he's a money transmitter makes the 0.5 BTC coins look like a good investment.

Because the loss rate of shipments is really high compared to every other country. and in some cases USPS doesn't even pay up the insurance. Insurance is payed in value of the coins at the point of sending. This has incurred huge cost for us in the past (takes at least 3 month for postal service to admit the package is lost. In the meantime price has increased 10-fold and we have to make the customer whole).

In other words: the risk is too high. Sorry.

No. After our office fire we ship the coins in plastic bags and don't add certificates.

A plastic bag as in a regular plastic bag, or as in the small coin sleeves?

EDIT: Could you PM me a picture of the coin in the state it will be shipped in? Don't want to be a pain in the ass but I just want an undamaged coin. The certificate isn't a problem.

A normal small plastic bag (zip-loc?). I'll take a shot when we next ship one. We take the coins directly from the roll we received from Mike using gloves and put them into the bag without touching them.

you can look up the transaction on blockchain.info if you have the address of the coin.

Coins look great, just wondering if you would ship to Thailand? If so would that be extra? Would it be fully insured? Lastly could it be sent as 'gift' or within a bundle of documents? Customs are dreadful here.

Insured tracked shipping to Thailand is included in the price.

We use a normal-looking letter (A4 Page folded 2 times) to ship. It might as well contain documents when looking at it. However, one can feel the coins (usually only 2 sheets of paper included).

Quick question, how often does the shipping status update? My package was posted 3 days ago and it still only says it has been posted at the postoffice in Hamburg.

Remember, the mail can be very slow at Christmas.

Okay I'm down for two in the new year, x-mas has eatin all my funds but I'm wanting to hold some BTC away nice and pretty, these are perfect.

I'm being asked by locals to carry coin's. I wonder how hard it is to make our own sticker :)

Both packages we shipped on the 18th (I'm assuming yours is one of them) are now in Frankfurt to go out of germany by air according to tracking.

Tracking usually updates pretty much realtime. Once an event (scan) happens it shows up in the tracking no more than an hour later according to my experiences.

There's no tracking event between the "posting in Hamburg" and the "arrival in Frankfurt". I don't know why it took so long in this case (usually it's in Frankfurt next business day), probably due holiday-related overload first, then the weekend.

Yeah, I received an email today about the tracking update. My German is a little rusty but I understood what it said :p. I'll just patiently wait for it :). Thanks for the explaination though!

Capsule: no, mint condition: yes, I guess: we don't touch the coins. We put them into little plastic bags right from the roll we received from Mike using gloves.
