Bitcoin is revolutionizing the way we distribute wealth around the global. Coinlytics is a real-time analytics tool that quantifies social media, global news & market conditions presenting a clear data driven analysis of bitcoin. This analysis and data will be beautifully displayed showing the trends, predications, and current market conditions of Bitcoin. The goal of Coinlytics is to provide a platform that is easy to use and understand with information that is meaningful to Bitcoin investors. We accomplish this by breaking down the data into three categories, market data, news data, and social media data. We then use algorithms to identify trends in the data based on keywords, trading volume, social sentiment, and other unique factors. Our team met at the same weekend and is formed by Petter Samuelsen, James Kernan and me, Fabio Federici (see attachment for more information). We built a working prototype, displaying real-time news and Bitcoin data, such as market-prize and the latest transactions. At the end we got awarded the price for the “Most Innovative Idea 2013” at the Berlin Startup Weekend. Global Startup Battle: GSB is back this year to bring the global entrepreneur community together from hundreds of cities around the world for a competitive week of collaboration and learning. We will be competing in the Activate and the Innovator’s Circle. Starting on November 27 we will start collecting votes for our 60 second video pitch. The top 15 videos after December 7 will be reviewed by the judges.
