Every body know that eth growth already start. It's long time eth was rest. Now it's time to run for ETH. I was post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3227199.msg33570981#msg33570981) long time ago for buy eth. Those is buy they are already in profit. Form now eth is up trends and it will cross 1k very soon. I expect eth will cross 1.5K within 3 month. So I feel you can hold it for little time.

Note: I just share my own idea. Please research yourself before buy or hold. Every trade is risky.

There is no doubt that Ethereum is for long term investment just like bitcoin. It's just the price goes down because the whole crypto market suffered a crash. However, its making a comeback and I hope that everyone has at least purchase a lot of Ethereum when it dip in the last couple of months. And the Reddit co-founder put another hype just in time: (https://cointelegraph.com/news/reddit-co-founder-says-ethereum-price-will-reach-15000-this-year), LOL, but I seriously doubt it get to $15000 this year. If you have been following Ethereum pattern, it already consolidating and is breaking higher so I'm expecting a good upward trend in the next coming days.

Yes i have the same prediction, ETH will keep growing and in this month the price will be going up around $1000 and can be $2500 in the end of this year. ETH still become the biggest altcoin that has big community and the fundamental still strong. Until now i still hold ETH and sell it partyly when the price above $1300.

Yes, i think too. ETH has big community and user in the cryptoworld. Every new coin / altcoin will be pair with etherum or bitcoin.It means, so many transaction will be happen and demand is up.

There are too many people want to hold his ethereum but in this moment I don't want to hold my ethereum because when ethereum price was only five hundred dollar on the time I am buy ethereum so I am already make a some profit in this region I don't want to hold my ethereum until cross one thousand dollar. In this moment ethereum prices eight hundred Plus so I sell some ethereum in a short time. If you someone want to hold his ethereum it is no matter to hold because ethereum will be more valuable so you can hold your ethereum until one thousand dollar cross.

I was planning to buy and hold ETH last year 2nd quarter when it was around $150 to $300 price I really missed tons of opportunity to hold those cheap coins on that day 300 to 500% return of investments just for holding those cryptos not to mention other altcoins which are on the top 10 marketcap and bitcoin if your going to diversify your capital but I'm not lucky enough to have enough capital that time.

Eth is getting better , why?because recently many ICOs are Using Eth platform , And some of them are really good like Diwtoken , I believe in Eth For long term and yes , sure it will break 1000$ soon , coz it has passed 1200$ before it means it can hit it again!

Yes, I will definitely continue to hold onto ETH. I have 1.5 ETH in my MEW. I will try to wait until the end of the year and hope ETH value will reach $ 2k5 this year as many experts have predicted. In a way, I feel the predictions bring excitement, hope and optimism about the spirit. :D

Everything else started going up well with ETH. There will be a huge pump is going to happen, Etherum will break 1K. That's why I don't panic whenever the market in correction mode or turns into the RED. Only the brave ones can stand and survive in order to take profit.

Sadly if everyone would hold(impossible) it would lead to a small crash back to the current price. There are crazy pump n dump with smaller currencies.

It's very difficult to touch ethereum on 15K unless all the exchanger take it as a mother coin. If all exchanger decide to accept ethereum as a mother coin then it's highly possible to touch 15k. Hope it will happen once. Because sometime Bitcoin transaction fee is huge. So people will try to use ethereum.

Honestly I expected of ethereum will be the great altcoins in crypto world and second to bitcoin. We know  what's the good potential of ethereum and it have a great performance in the past years. I preferred to hold my ethereum as long as I can or until that I need a money for emergency.

I think after the last few days, ETH as well as btc will go down. I think that in the next few days eth will cost $ 600. To reach $ 1k will probably need some time, perhaps more than a month.

I also believe it. I was able to stocked ethereum when it went down at around  $400 because i know just like bitcoin ethereum will rise and will have a new all time high this year.

Ethereum reaching $5,000 is a really optimistic speculation. I am postive that Ethereum will reach a new all time high but $5,000 is highly unlikely. With the current Ethereum coins in circulation if we even reach $3,000 it will be the number one coin in terms of market cap, and I do not think that ethereum will take over bitcoin this year.

I suggest the people to hold your ETH even if it reached $1K because at the end of this year the price may hit upto $2000 in my opinion so hold until that guys.

Etherium still has good potential and its price can also increase too much therefore i also think that in current time it will be a good decision to hold Etherium. I myself have a good amount of Etherium and i am going to hold it for a long long time because i am too much sure about Etherium price that it will increase too much in near future.

I think $1k is small target to look forward to for ETH. ETH arguably is the second best coin out there, and the fact that we will be experiencing a growth in ICOs this year, of which most use ETH's smart contract platform is another reason for it to be one of the biggest long term coin out there. Hold ETH for as long as possible would be my advice.

i am hodling until when i took it in 1200ks. i am pretty sure it will go back to 2500$ end of august.

$ 1K is indeed a very small value for ETH to rise up to that price, I'm sure also ETH will fly high, well above $ 1K, now we can invest our money to buy it immediately, while the price has not gone up anymore, and for we keep in the long term, now I still hold my ETH, and I will wait until the price according to the target that I want new I will sell it.

Yes you are right, do your research first before trading but you do have a good point about your thoughts on Ethereum and maybe it will cross to $1k soon too. Keep your hopes up high and keep on holding your coin until it reaches that amount you wanted.

Nothing is impossible in crypto. Last year we already see that ETH rise from $300 to $1400 in just 2 Months.

I don't think there were enough rest. I believe we won't see new ATH this year. Even though I expect ETH to fall down to finish the latest dump move I would not sell my ETH. I can't risk it to sell now to buy lower. I try to accumulate more ETH until we see the new rally.

Previous ATH of ethereum should become the main pit stop to be reached by ethereum at this year. But after seeing so many updates to the ethereum platform and especially POS and hardcap to the supply of ethereum soon. And i'm feeling optimistic about another ATH will have reached by ethereum price soon.

Im not sure about what is this discussion, because for mr there is no doubt that price of ETH will cross ATH in next two months. Im sure that ETH have the biggest potential. Queston is if ETH will cross $5k in this year.. in my opinion it will be reached easy.

My thoughts too. I think we needed a lot more time to consolidate, this small bullish moves are picking up steam but not sure there's enough gas in it to last the round. I did sell some of my ETH at $820 though, expecting a fallback to 750 and I can see these are close to triggering, but I'll also buy back if it moves to $800 heh. 1k is still a distance...

yes it would be very promising alot of opinions along with this but one thing mind it that if you thought to hold than many stages come up and down with the price at that time dont be panic and one thing keep in your mind that its always a risky race and risky not sure or any type of grantee.

Everyone knows that buying Eth will lead them directly to gaining lots of profits because they believe that the price will grow. On the other hand, I believe that the best choice is to buy bitcoin since it has not grown yet. Although the price is still expensive, you can start bit by bit by $500 taking into consideration that the price will eventually grow because it is bitcoin. At last, when it does, you will gain profit. Moreover, buying Eth now is also not a bad idea.

yes of course I always hold my ethereum assets until the price breaks into the $ 1k price and I think the $ 1k price is very easy because the potential price of ethereum can be more than that price.

It is not easy to reach 1500$ in just 3 months, this is still an oppotunity for us to hold and buy some ETH because the market is bearing huge lost from the drop 10 hours ago, but i think this just slow down the speed of ETh, ETH is on the rising trend every year and it is still the most popular altcoin of the entire market, so it is possible for ETH to reach 1500$ at the end of this year.

Having ETH in your portfolio is a must if you ask me. Many tokens depends on the Ethereum blockchain making ETH a big fish. I don't think there should be more research about ETH if you plan to invest in it. Just go for it, its name speaks for its reputation.

Exceed in what aspect? Price? Market cap? Dominance? It would be possible for market cap or dominance.

I plan on keeping the ethereum at $3,000. When this price is reached it is not very important for me.

For short term i am bearish and i think that we will be lower after 7th of may. 500 is next target. In middle term I think we will be close to 1000-1400 zone, but won't hit ATH. In long term, I mean 1-2 year I believe we will hit 5000+, so i actively trade now in order to have sufficient funds and buy ETH for 500$ for long term purpose

Hold your eth until it all bursts :P as long as there is no obvious bubble or no a threat, such coins like ethereum will continue to rise with increasing total market cap, so when are we going to sell? when it pops?

Ethereum is one of a very promising crypto through this year. It amaze the previous price until today is very consistent to go higher. I am still holding ethereum until it meet my goal to sell when it reaches the ath this year.

I think you should change your mind cause ETH price is going to cross 1k$ very soon maybe just in next week so I think you should change your target to 2k$ or maybe 3k$ :)).
Hold ETH until the end of this year is the best option cause I read some topic said that ETH has potential to reach to 5k$ - 10k$ in this year. IMO, I really think that 1k$ is too little :))

Why not hold eth until it becomes $2500 this year? Most experts are bullish and seeing the possibility that ethereum could go as high as $2500 this year. That's not impossible. But if you are in swing trade mate then why not do it. Sell it at $1000.

Holding of the ETH is also a very good option and that other than that, you can also plan for trading as well. It is you who must make the final decision at the end but the thing is you need to be sure that you are making the right decision which will surely help you in making of some good earning as well. If you are going for holding, then you need to keep on doing it until you see the market values getting higher and higher.

As of now the price of the ethereum is $700 and I think maybe after 3 months possible to reach the price of your prediction and that is 1500 dollars but we don't know when it happen really. The only way to reach ethereum like that is to buy and hold more ethereum.

At this point, holding the ETH is a wise choice as the ETH will probably return to $ 1000 in Q3 2018 and even rise to $ 2,000 by the end of the year. I think you are right about that. And depending on when the market perks up, we might see ethereum go much higher than 1.5I. Perhaps that will happen within the next few months.

EOS can pick up the market part. If they will go by roadmap and don't make serious mistakes EOS will be more expensive than ETH. Because team want to use more advanced technology.

People most take profits as some are range and swing traders.  If we all hold there will be not coins to sell and the market will still be one place. Therefore transactions most be ongoing for the price to go up and down and people should be allowed to make there trading decision.

Some people love to take profits outside to spend but I really agree this thread cause ethereum shows every signals for better price over $1000. It is must hold in my opinion. 1000 dollar is very reachable.

The ETH price above $ 1k is the goal I set. And I will hold them until I reach that goal. In the past few days I thought that ETH would continue to increase. and may cross the $ 1k threshold. But not, the market has gone against the prediction, today they have fallen. But I expect in the next few weeks ETH will rise again.

The smart contract plattform on their blockchain is just pure geniues. They are also many project who are build on this network, which have real use cases. So there will be several big companies who will also use them, as example swiss post office with modum. So thats why the ethereum is much more worth. I personally would say, hold your ethereum untill it cross ten thousands!

Yes that's very true. Eth is very potential coin where we can see progress now. Eth almost getting the place of $900 last time but it dump again now. It's better to turn your funds into eth and btc because those coins are very potential for the coming future.

ETH has a very promising future in crypto currencies. $1k price per ETH is still undervalued. I think it would try to retrace back to its support level of $400 per ETH before crossing $1k and beyond. Within this year, we may see it hit another ATH because of the development undergoing for ETH. I would hold this coin until such time it has been fully developed.

What really is the value of ETH anyway? If People have said the true value of Bitcoin based on actual use and volume between economy beyond trading, was around $1k, then how would you think ETH is worth that much? Ethereum fell to around 350$ a month ago and was a full buy opportunity..Brought to the investor in short time 2 fold income..I hope to rise further until the end of the year.

agree with you, ethereum will reach the highest price again soon. i predict at the end of this year ethereum price will reach $2500 or at least $2000. they are a one of good coin for investment. i believe to hold them even for long term hold if needed.

Some partnership or advertisement tend to motivate investors and that is what moves your values, let's wait.

Eth has such a large potential, it can easily exceed 1k $. It's worth keeping eth because there is a high probability of ATH reaching this year. It is a very good investment for a long term.

here is same situation i also bought ETH at 1200$ and hold tell now  i will never sell my eth at low price i also hope for eth. it will cross 2000$ in this year but some of prediction are says it will cross 6000$ in this year we all will gain good profit when eth reach 6k$. eth is a valuable currency and investors of eth are increased day by day.

I may say that people in here have different in visions and wants.  Some of us want more and the others are just contented of what they have right now(even gaining only 10% from their investment). My best guess for the end of year price for eth is at least  in the 2.5k-3k range.  I think eth will outperform btc this year with more ICOs being released this year.

I already cashed out 5 Ethereum at $1000 last month. I would say its a good decision after it dropped down to $400+ again. I'm already collecting a few ETH again ad waiting for it to go back at $1000 and would cash out again. I do trades too but I cash out for I'm on the process of house reconstruction. Cryptocurrency helped me a lot these days.

You cannot go wrong with buying low and selling high ETH or any other asset. That said big money is made by holding through most of the big trend. ETH will go to new highs this year so do not be in a hurry to sell it too soon.

No no no, I say hold your Ethereum at least until the end of the year 2018. If you sell by the time Ethereum crossed only $1,000 or even $1,300 to $1,500, you will be missing the bigger gains in the last several months of the year. There's a lot of users holding their coins since their value on the past 4 months are striking down, because they don't want to lose on their invest. Aside on that they also believe that each coins have own potential to grow, so they cannot sell it immediately when price of those coins are fall down. I believe that ethereum and other altcoins are reach over $1K because many people now are awake on how they can manage their crypto currencies. Therefore spreading of virtual currencies now in the whole world are so fast, so I cannot shocked if one day real money were started to become useless.

Increasing the current ETH is different from before, currently higher. Maybe your target will be reached to break the 1.5k number if the increase continues as it is now. Or at least until the end of this year, you will get the number you are targeting, even more.

Holding of other coins besides Bitcoin is not a bad decision at all as if you are not handling the Bitcoin and have not enough knowledge than you can surely trade with other crypto currencies but with little struggle you can be a millionaire with Bitcoin. ETH is also a good investment and people should also invest if they are sitting with no investments and freely moving around. Ethereum is also profitable but can not reach to Bitcoin so better choice is Bitcoin.

The prediction about the price of ethereum is getting massive regularly. In recent days the price prediction for ethereum has gone high as $15000 within the end of the year. With this in mind it is good to keep hold of the ethereum to experience a higher price than $1000+

That is what I thought also because of what ethereum are showing now which is a good sign to keep holding your ethereum because I believe it will happen. I do not know what is the source of your predictions but it doesn't look likely that ETH would cross 1500 (which is almost 2.5x the current price). The market has again turned RED today for no good reason. Bitcoin is down to 7800, ETH has almost dropped down to 600$ and almost every coin is coming down crashing.

This happens generally because people do not buy on dips and when market is only rising they buy and thus finally the market fall. I am sure you would have not invested now when it is at lower value and thus people do repeat same mistake and as a result suffer.
