if you hand around bitcointalk for at least a week you can see the most common newbie created topic here is about bitcoin versus some other altcoin which usually does not even have anything in common with bitcoin!

for example the most common one is ethereum which is a token with an unlimited supply and dark future.

is this the new way of advertising it? like they used in early days when they spammed our inboxes about it?
are they having trouble pumping it again?

no coin is related to the others! i can't understand what those people are thinking hahaha. trying to drag hard but not at that level.

Cause they didn't get in early on into Bitcoin and now want to get the crazy returns that Bitcoin provided to its investors. Also let me correct you that Ethereum is going to shift to POS and reduce the new coins being generated drastically. People are always going to make comparisons, you just need to learn to ignore them.

unfortunately there are also a lot of false promises in form of advertisement when it comes to altcoins and that misleads a lot of newbies into thinking they can become rich if they catch that shitcoin's train early on. but in reality they are buying into an already pumped coin in its bubble and although they may earn a little profit but there is a bigger chance of losing a lot more.

because they don't know anything about the bitcoin and altcoins, they simply have some very basic knowledge about crypto in general, knowing it's supposed to make them rich. Without the knowledge, they will be posting bs like this..

I can not see the link you shared it. I just think all the different ways people promote their coin coin.

They just want some attention so that they where more people buying and investing to their coins. this is one of their strategy comparing bitcoins to their so called next bitcoins.

Will they like to starts thread all over again, as they saw that many are putting some comment on a certain topics so I think they like to gain popularity by making a thread like that and gathering more speculators, sometimes I just love to block them.

As you all know JP Morgan is filing a patent on using blockchain technology on banks with ethereum as its platform. Possibly this is one kind of promotion to strengthen Ethereum. Even in social media many people are talking about how Ethereum will reach 10k$ value. This are all non-sense stories and are just marketing strategies just like what Roger Ver is doing with bitcoin cash.

As newbie they may not have known the difference and that is why they need to read the rules before making comments or to raise a topic. They are advertising Ether without them knowing. Whoever is introducing somebody to the forum should help to point the relevant rules and sections to the newbies.

I don’t think that bitcoin will ever be comparable to any other crypto currency because no other crypto currency has not that potential that it could ever replace bitcoin. Within a decade a bitcoin has made itself a very successful crypto currency and has made millions of investors to invest into it. With its millions of advantages people find bitcoin to be very trust worthy and because of this trust whales are investing such a huge money into bitcoin  and moreover there is news coming that many economists are predicting that valuation will further more inflate in the end of this summer and then in the last months of this year.

You are absolutely right. Crypto money is based on BTC and ETH. These coins have their own networks. All other tokens are produced through these networks. For this reason, it is very wrong to compare altcoin with bitcoin.
Use your crypt money to make money. Use popular coins such as Bitcoin and eth for investment purposes.

I think they comparing bitcoin to other coins in the market because they want the coin or token they’re holding become what bitcoin had. As we can see in each coin its has different function and different usage so there is no point in comparing it to another coin especially in bitcoin. I think you are right when you say that it is a new way of advertising of coin, so people can notice the coin their mention that being compared to bitcoin.

The thing people do not understand is that Bitcoin is actually completely separate from the others. Bitcoin is the biggest of the market, even if it is not an aim or cause. Which is in fact the representative of both block clave technology and blockchain technology. Bitcoin is a diamond that affects the price, future and condition of today's diamonds and these other beings. Besides being the most valuable, it is rare. Not even a certain number will increase. Something that can be reduced for certain reasons, but never increases. This will directly affect its value. Bitcoin will exist as long as people request this crypto money. I can not say the same thing for many altcoin.

I think most of the people don't understand that every coin is different. Comparing to each-other they cannot make any change. Bitcoin is dominating the crypto world most for the long time and it will continue I think. Rather comparing this coins, if they publish some news ,research like thing than we can get benefited from this forum. We are all here to learn , to discuss our thoughts with so many skilled people. So be like this.

I think people who compare are just newcomers or they don`t get the technology right.
