Title: Coin-Alert for Bitcoin
Post by: townsend on December 03, 2013, 08:27:52 PM
A few weeks ago, someone said they were looking for a good alert program.
So I've been doing some coding. Here's what I've got so far. What do you think?

Pretty nice! I like the variety of exchanges and the Litecoin support.

I suppose this won't come with a GPL license?
I would love to contribute to this, make it cross platform and such.

looks good but I would consider maybe adding campbx for USA. I look forwarding to using your program

Yes ajw-- I certainly will add campBX. The News Alert section is basically headlines from
http://www.coindesk.com/news/ Clicked links take you to their site for the full article.

Marti-- I doubt open source would work, as this is being developed in an unconventional language, which is called, LiveCode. The good news is, after Windows, the same source code can be used for Mac and Linux.

I should have a beta version done within two weeks.

Got my hopes up :(

I'm looking for an app for android that will simply watch wallet's and ping activity :)
Be a great way to watch your paper wallet's incase they are "touched"

This looks cool though. Keep up the good work!

For the ones who don't know which altcoin(s) to watch: http://cryptocoinradar.com may help you pick today's trendy ones.

Or coinmarketcap.com

Sure, but you only get last 24hours "value % change" for each coin at coinmarketcap.com meaning you may (as a daytrader) be informed too late of a coin value move.
There's also no "volume % change" indicator. Cryptocoin Radar may be used as a complementary service to coinmarketcap.com for specific needs.

The program looks good, but is MtGox still running?  ???
You could add the summation of the buy, sell orders of all exchanges.
