Title: newbie but keen
Post by: $1vEr.$urfer on December 04, 2013, 01:22:29 AM
hi All

I've known about bitcoins for well over a year now, but dismissed it as an investment option until about 2 weeks ago - the same time the rest of the world became aware of it!!   :o
So yeh - btc was well on its way to $1000 and i figured I've probably missed the boat! I have in the meantime converted some fiat into the system, but have concentrated on ltc instead as i figured that would have more potential upside at this late stage.

Been taking a bit of a beating on BTC-e lately  :(

My immediate aim is to get past the forum newbie tab so that i can interact with some of the forum members directly   :)

Same boat man, I've known about Bitcoin way longer than I care to mention.

Please don't spam the members via PMs - I notice you have 10 merits from deleted posts, and many see that as a bad sign.

No worries, even being an early adopter has huge potential. Learn as much as you can :)

https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/800/0*Oy0Ww_NLBL5GHkR8.
New technology that eventually becomes successfully adopted generally follows this bell curve. With inventors and innovators starting the trend, early adopters following next. Then the early majority, late majority and finally the laggards are those who have to upgrade because the market no longer produces or sells what they used to have.
There is a missing piece here and it is within the 2.5% innovators slice. It is the lunatic fringe, the very first people to start using the new technology. The lunatic fringe is what gets the word out to the early adopters. The lunatics are ones that prove its use and can’t shut up abo t i.t  :D And that is us, me writing this, you reading this.

I missed that, and thanks for pointing it out. I put SillyTeddy on ignore for necro-bumping. :)
